Just got a new stove installed. My old one was coming apart. They got started promptly at 8 am and we’re finished in 30 minutes! New stove works perfectly!

Last week, a company was hired to assess a hot water heater outage by my property management company. They visited the home and assessed an internal leak, warranting complete replacement alongside $600-$1000 of work on top of the over $3k it would to cost to replace. They gave no option to repair the hot water heater. Since the unit was only 6 years old, I requested a second opinion from Smith and Company HVAC. Smith came out and fixed the unit for 100’s of dollars, not thousands.

    Thanks Smith!

Jeffrey was my service agent and accomplished the HVAC maintenance in a quality manner. He was a joy to work with. The next day Smith & Co. called to check for satisfaction. Great job all around.

In August of 2024 the AC Unit wasn’t cooling my home. I scheduled a service call through my home warranty company AHS (American Home Shield), at this time the claim was assigned to Smith and Company HVAC. August 15, 2024, Smith and Company HVAC came out inspected and stated the compressor was bad and the unit had dirty coils. August 16, 2024, I was notified by AHS that an estimate from Smith and Company HVAC was being prepared. The estimate was for $4473.00 this was out of pocket cost after any cost that AHS covered. After speaking with Smith and Company HVAC I decided to do a full replacement due to the age of the units (furnace and AC) which was $6585.00. The full unit replacements were for a 3.5 Ton Air Conditioning with 80% Furnace. Smith and Company installed the air conditioning and furnace on September 6, 2024. The units were working fine but due to it being late in the season I did not use the AC much at all. However, on March 29, 2025, I went to turn the AC on, and the breaker tripped, so I reset the breaker, and it kept tripping. On March 31, 2025, I contacted Smith and Company and stated the issue I was having with the AC unit, and they scheduled a Tech to come out and inspect the AC unit. On April 2, 2025, Smith and Company came and inspected the unit ran it for approximately 20-30 minutes and the unit did not trip the breaker. The Tech stated that the air filter was thick, and he would recommend a thinner filter and recommended changing every 30 days if we continued to use the thick filters. I did not try to use the Ac unit again until April 20, 2025, at this time the circuit tripped and continued to trip after resetting and trying over again. At this time, I decided to submit an electrical claim through AHS (American Home Shield). American home shield Dispatched the call to Mae Dae Electric, LLC who inspected the AC unit on April 24,202. Mae Dae stated that the new AC unit installed Amps was too high for the Amps that my circuit breaker could handle, and that is why the circuit breaker was tripping. Mae Dae explained that the circuit breaker would need to be upgraded, and a wire would need to run from the unit to the AC unit, which involves cutting into the drywall. At this time, I contacted Smith and Company HVAC to let them know what Mae Dae stated the issue was with AC and the Amps. I asked them why didn’t they check the Amps before installing the new unit to make sure the Amps of the new unit was compatible with the Amps in the breaker, and the Rep that I spoke with I believe her name is Hannah told me they just assume I had the proper amps for the new unit and that they do not cover the cost of electrical upgrades, and that she would let the project manager know what my concerns were. I explained to her that under normal circumstances I totally understand but this is something they should have checked for prior to ordering and installing the new AC unit, and that I never had this issue with my old AC unit tripping the breaker. At this point I told the Rep I was waiting for the final word from AHS and would follow up with them once I received the final word from AHS. On April 24, 2025, I received notice from AHS that I had Non-Covered Cost Details for Wiring it started “AC unit was replaced, and new unit requires more amperage than previous one.” At this time I called AHS who informed me that the wiring was a non covered item, my response was that I used the contractor they assigned and the contractor should have checked the Amps prior to ordering and installing the AC unit, at this time they stated they was sending the claim over to the escalation department for reconsideration due to me using the contractor they assigned. AHS denied claim so it will cause me at min $2500. The Amps should have been check and the AC unit ordered according to the Amps in my home. I did not ask for an upgraded unit, it should have been replaced with an equivalent model. I am a reasonable person but this is wrong. You need hold your Tech responsible for this, all he did was have to check the Amps and order accordingly.

I love everything about this company! Their entire team is great, and the process itself was smooth thanks to their wonderful customer service representatives. I had a new system installed by Austin & Pepe, and they were both great! I was initially told this job would take 6-8 hours, but they finished in 4 hours (no complaints from me). Austin & Pepe were very professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of me and my home. These young men deserve a raise =) Thank you Smith & Company for taking care of me. You all are the gold standard. Keep up the amazing work!

I first meet Smith and Company 10 years ago when Aaron brought a crew to our house to fix an a/c problem. I come back to them whenever I need service for good reason. They are the best. From reception to scheduling to technicians to payment, the people are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They aim to please and they do. They go the extra mile and solve tough problems. Their services and products are reasonably priced, as well. I could not be happier with our relationship.

Everyone at Smith & Co — from the office to the field — did an amazing job for us. From diagnosing the reason we had no heat, to finding the right part — locally, on a Friday so we had heat for the weekend — to installing and testing things, this was a terrific team effort. We woke up this morning and it was 48 degrees inside the house. We haven’t yet had lunch and, thanks to Smith & Co., it is already up to 64 degrees. We’re very thankful.

On the recommendation of a friend, I called Smith and Company to take a look at our malfunctioning AC unit. Mark immediately diagnosed the problem and replaced our capacitor quickly. Our house is cooling down and we are happy customers.

Great service, polite technicians and the office kept me informed while they waited for parts - appreciate being kept in the loop and not having to constantly follow up on the status.

I swear I posted this already

Let me tell you a story. 7 years ago. I was 9 months pregnant. It was 100+ degrees in August and my hvac kicked. Called a few places and they couldn't come out that day. Called Smith and Co. He said I can come out today but it won't be for a few hours. I said no problem. Told him I was 9 months pregnant and he came out within 15 minutes. (The owner personally came out himself on his lunch)

    They are family owned business.

They jump started my hvac and told me I'll have another 10 years with it. It cost me very little.

Smith & Co exceeded our expectations. When three other companies could not fix our mini split unit, Smith and Company was able to fix it within a couple visits and kept us informed every step of the way. Knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. We highly recommend them!!

These guys are excellent. Our AC broke during the hottest days of the summer so far and they came out almost immediately after we made the request. Their guys were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and quick, they found a problem that would cause the kind of issues we were having and fixed it in 45 minutes or so. The next day it turned out we had *another* issue that the first had been masking. They came out within hours of our call and fixed that issue too, no additional charge. Blessed relief from the heat!

Smith and Company HVAC did an excellent job diagnosing and repairing our HVAC unit. We had another company install the unit less than a year ago but the unit stopped cooling. After that company wouldn't come investigate and repair the unit, we contacted a second company who came to our home 5 or 6 times but after a series of “fixes”, the unit still wasn't working correctly. They recommended some expensive ductwork repair and we decided to get a second opinion.

Aaron came out to evaluate/diagnose our problems. After some testing and research he was able to figure it out on the spot! It was an error during install that no one else caught. After the repair, he wrote up what was done in complete detail so we'd have a record and so we could discuss a refund with the other company!

This company saved us sooo much money and headaches! Without their expertise, we would have wasted money on an unnecessary repair and still had a broken unit. With young children in our home, outside temperatures over 90 degrees, and inside temperatures over 80 degrees, we were so frustrated with the situation, then so relieved to have found a knowledgeable, reliable, and caring company! Highly recommend!

Due to a power surge in Baltimore due to a storm our mini splits (2) were damaged. Hannah(general manager) worked with us diligently to get parts, etc to repair. She worked thru our home warranty co (who were of little to no help) to get the much needed parts. HW company said it would take 3 months to replace the parts and Hannah (Smith and Co) went to bat for us and got them within a matter of weeks. She was efficient, diligent and kept me abreast of everything almost daily…all with a cheerful attitude. I highly recommend Smith and Co HVAC for all you heating/cooling needs.
