Pinehurst Landscapes

We have been working with Pinehurst Landscaping for 8 years. Have used several different companies in the past; Maxalea, Akehurst, and MJM, and Pinehurst is head and shoulders above the others. Ted Carter will come over, we will walk the area and discuss what needs to be done, then he sends a proposal, and we triage what is to be done and when. Several times we have gone to the nursery to pick out trees and plants. The few plants that have not survived a year are replaced at no charge. He drives us around in an off-road golf cart, and we can get ideas, and even pick the actual plants. If he doesn’t have something in stock, he will get it. Ted has redesigned several areas, with an eye to continued visual interest throughout the year. He is readily accessible via text, phone, or email. The workers who come out are pleasant, hardworking and always leave the place immaculate. They have also relaid a bluestone patio that was settling unevenly, and repaired stonework for a fraction of what the mason who did the work quoted. If they come to weed when we are out of town or unavailable, and miss something, a call or email and they come out and deal with it. The office workers are always polite and friendly. After discussion, they send a out a detailed proposal with break down of pricing in the spring, which we amend and return. Rather than paying a big chunk of money up front, or paying monthly, their policy is to bill as work is done, so one knows what to expect and when, and you can be sure you are satisfied before you send a check, or call with your credit card information. We have been nothing but pleased.

The scope of work has been early mulching, monthly weeding in summer, fall cleanup. Redesign of several beds, adding several trees. They have also relaid a bluestone patio that had settled, and repaired stonework done by another company, which had degenerated after 5 years. Pinehurst did the repair for 1/4 the estimate of the original company.

Selling our house, and when the open house date had to be changed, Ted rearranged his schedule to weed and mulch so the place looks it’s best. He made some suggestions to maximize impact, at mi I um cost. Will miss working with Pinehurst.

Our partnership with Pinehurst Landscape Company was a professional and efficient process. We especially appreciated their ability to create beautiful commercial plantings/planters while staying within our budget.
