Wil C fixed my flush mount lights in a professional and timely manner and offered advice on other different projects I had around the house. Also did his best to offer me any available discounts. Could not have asked for better service!

Wil did an excellent job replacing two electric baseboard heaters and upgrading them and a thermostat. He was quick and efficient and afterwards helped to relocate a decorated Xmas tree to a safer location. He also is quite nice!

Highly recommend Magothy and electrician, Sean R! I went to replace a light fixture in my old house, but the wire insulation was crumbling, causing the wires to short. Sean offered two options at reasonable price points and fixed the issue on the spot in a timely manner. I feel much better knowing a certified electrician fixed the issue, so I don’t have to constantly worry about a fire hazard.

Technician Braden arrived on time, was very thorough, and completed the work competently. He replaced a faulty circuit breaker. Price was reasonable. Recommended.

I called Magothy Electric on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 24. Not long a truck showed up at our house to give us an estimate for the work we needed done. The electrician, named Braden, introduced himself and proceeded to listen and offer council on the work we wanted done. He presented us with the estimate and stated the work could be completed the same day. We agreed, and Bradon got to work. I can't say enough about this young man. He was clear with presenting us with choices of the lighting to be done and extremely polite and respectful. He worked neat and didn' t leave a speck of dirt. Will came in and diagnosed our main breaker to our home was shooting fireworks! He was able to give us a temporary fix and performed service swiftly and efficiently. I will highly recommend Magothy Electric to everyone. From their expertise to superior communication, all around great service!

Earlier this week Wil and Sam arrived promptly and performed the following services: replaced a ceiling fan with a new one we supplied, replaced a bathroom fixture with a new one we had purchased and installed a new electrical outlet to go behind a large screen TV. They also installed 4 new dimmer switches for various lights. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, organized and cleaned up as they went along and after finishing the work. Based on Wil’s suggestion we decided to subscribe to the Magothy service plan which discounts future work and also includes a complimentary electrical inspection once/year. This is the second time we have had the company perform services in our 10 year old home. They are great!

I've used Magothy Electric for a few years at my previous home and have had nothing but amazing service from them. So, when I bought a new house and immediately had an electrical emergency, they were who I trusted to call in and fix the problem. I called on a Friday afternoon and was routed for an emergency service appointment since I had no power. Dan arrived within a half hour and was able to assess the problem and get my power back on before coming back on Tuesday to get everything fixed correctly and ready for county inspection. He was prompt, polite, and explained every thing he was doing in a way I could understand which was greatly appreciated! I recommend Magothy Electric to everyone, don't hesitate to use them!

Before making an appointment with ANY other electric company, I strongly recommend calling Magothy Electric Co. first. I’ve used this company before, more than 5 years ago, and the quality of care and customer service today, 15 October 2025, is/was the same, FANTASTIC!! Pricing is reasonable and fair. The receptionists are extremely pleasant and interested in helping you with your scheduling needs. Most importantly, they will send you a text message with a photo and biography of your technician: very impressive. All companies should do that for safety reasons.
My technician, Dan L. is/was extremely professional; and very knowledgeable. He was on time and he did not give me the runaround. He wore shoe covers once he came inside my home: very respectful. He allowed me to look over his shoulder (I did not mean to, but I was curious about what caused my electrical issue). He did not rush and he explained everything. He also cleaned up once the task was completed. I learned a lot from him, and I greatly appreciate his time and attention. I hope my review is read by many. I know how hard it can be to find a good contractor and/or company for your home. Magothy Electric Co. is a company that you can trust and they deserve to be recognized. Braden showed up in less than an hour after i first called and had not only completed the diagnostic but had a solution within two! He was helpful and kind and we really needed our power fixed urgently and he did exactly that. Price was reasonable and was also given the flexibility to split my payment which made all the difference. Definitely coming back if we ever need work done again! :)

Dan and Sam were very friendly, professional and just nice people. They ran a new circuit for a microhood and did it in less than 2 hours. They do very good work and explained everything they did. I'd very much recommend the company and these two employees.

Amazing service! I had another company cancel on me at the last second and I called Magothy. Amber was so helpful on the phone and had someone at my within 30 minutes with excellent communication every step of the way. Dan and Guage showed up and figured out my issue within minutes and fixed it. Very professional and both were very polite and so respectful of not only me, but my home. Dan is very experienced and knowledgeable and found ya plumbing issue which has caused the electricity/lighting issue. I signed up for a membership as I had just canceled mine with the other company and they stayed and did a full house inspection for me too! Would 10/10 recommend them and I will definitely be calling them again if I have any issues in the future.
