I have a breaker in my panel go bad. I had called a couple of places to see when they could come out. Magothy Electric Was able to come out the next day versus two weeks from other places I had called. Andrea is the gentleman who came to do the repair work. He was fantastic. He took the time to explain to me everything that he would do, what the fees would cover, and he even went through and checked all of my other breakers to ensure that they were properly hooked up. I feel like he went above and beyond what he needed to do. I would 100% recommend Magothy Electric.

I was impressed by every interaction I had with this company. I spoke to a representative over the phone to schedule the initial appointment. After the techs came out to give me an estimate on the work I wanted done, I called back to ask a few more questions that I forgot to ask. The rep (Becky) seemed happy and eager to get me the right answers and also remembered me from the previous times I called. Both times the techs came out (for estimate and actual work) they were extremely professional. They finished the work surprisingly fast. And my wife and I are extremely satisfied with the results and find ourselves turning off and on our new recessed lights for no reason. It’s small but one thing that stood out to me about the techs is that they put on shoe protector the moment they walk into the house. I even noticed them taking them off every time they went out into the garage or my unfinished basement and putting them back on the moment they walked back inside. It’s a small thing but shows the attention to detail.

I got an estimate from another company in the area but felt overwhelmed and pressured into getting unnecessary work done. I did not feel that way from this company. Also the other company was offering to do less work (I felt cutting corners) for more money. I’m happy we went with Magothy.

My service was scheduled quickly and I was given a small service window of two hours and my techs showed up well within my short window. So, exactly right in time!
Braden and Ben we quick and efficient. They were super nice and explained everything easily so I knew exactly what was happening.

Extensive work to replace outlets, resolve wiring in the main panel, replace breaker, install ceiling fixtures. Will and Sam arrived on-time and were meticulous in their work, making sure to explain each need and action, working quickly and making sure to clean up afterwards. Will explained the pricing, found some discounts we qualified for, saving us some cost. Overall an excellent experience. We have additional work planned for after the New Year and will be using Magothy Electric again and will ask for Will and Sam to do that work.

Braden and Gage were excellent! Not only did they fix the electric issues I knew I had but they caught a few things I didn’t even know needed to be replaced. Helpful, extremely knowledgable, and friendly enough that even my cowardly cat went over to say hello. Glad to be able to see in my kitchen again!

We're extremely pleased with our decision to choose Magothy for our home's electrical upgrades. Brayden conducted the initial inspection and provided an excellent estimate - he was professional and easy to work with throughout the process. Scheduling was seamless, and our technicians Dan and Jonathan did outstanding work completing all planned installations. Our new electrical panel looks great, and the final cost was actually lower than the original estimate, which was nice. Although we encountered an issue with our payment method, they resolved it quickly and professionally. We were so impressed with the service that we decided to purchase the membership, as we know this won't be our last time with Magothy.

Brian P and his assistant perfectly installed the additional outlet then troubleshot and repaired the three non-working outdoor outlets, all in the freezing cold temp of 24F degrees.
Prior to performing the work, Brian provided an estimate for services (including material) and upon completion, held to the estimate amount.

Braden and Bryan came to help diagnose my issues with some of the outlets around the condo. I thought the outlets were not working and needed rewiring, but they turned out to be working just fine. Apparently, I need to turn the switch on so the outlets work. I did not know that the outlets were not independent from the switch before Magothy Electric came!

They also helped update the interior lights in the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. They are all beautiful! Their works are warranted for 2 years. I definitely call them again for any electrical work that needs to be done! 😀🙌🏼

Recently bought an older house and hired Magothy Electric to repair the slew of electrical issues noted on our home inspection (GFCI outlet installation, securing of loose wires, outlets not working, installation of new breaker, install grounding wires, etc.). Braden and Sam worked hard to get the repairs completed in a timely fashion. When something dangerous was discovered (GFCI tripping, bare wires in the wall touching), they discussed with us how we would like to move forward with prioritizing certain repairs since we told them we are on a budget. They were extremely polite, thorough, trustworthy, and concise in explaining and making everything safe again. Highly recommend Braden and Sam!! Hopefully they will be able to do all our electrical work in the future, should it be needed. Best contractor we have worked with in MD so far!

Brian and Sam were excellent electricians and I am so impressed with the company in general. Several text messages prior to the appointment to confirm date/time. Even a picture and profile of the electrician was sent on the day of. Brian and Sam were so friendly, polite, and courteous the whole time they were here. They did a great job installing our light fixture in our 2-story foyer and clearly are extremely well qualified electricians.
