My front concrete walkway and the steps leading into each porch were cracked, depressed and needed replacement. I also needed to replace a depressed concrete slab in the back of my house.

After consulting a number of concrete companies, I got a wild range of prices for the job. And most of these companies didn’t take credit cards, they wanted cash or Zelle, neither of which I would ever do with contracted home work. Not being able to take a credit card and needing Zelle for payment coupled with high prices just kept bringing up red flags. They didn’t feel established.

Marcos with Adding Construction came to my home, I showed him the scope of the work, he took a few measurements and quoted me an honest, fair and reasonable price on the spot. I’d done some research so I knew approximately how much it cost to replace concrete per square foot. Marcos’ quote was in line with industry standards. Marcos followed up the verbal quote with a written one.

When Marcos and his team came out to work, they quickly removed the old concrete and took special care not to damage the sprinkler lines that ran along side the old walkway. After building up the walkway bed and pouring the concrete, the team crafted a beautiful new walkway and stairs.

In the rear of the house, the team built up the concrete base and extended the depth of the pad for better stability and protection from burrowing things. The new pad seamlessly blends with the existing basement steps.

Once the concrete work was complete, Marcos and his team added topsoil and fine tuned the grading around the new concrete walkway and pad. It turned out absolutely beautiful and met my exact expectations.

What I find amazing is how Marcos seemed to understand exactly what I was looking for every time, and executed on it precisely. Rare trait.

Marcos from Adding construction was very professional. I had stone steps that was falling apart. Adding construction tore down my steps and replace it with concrete steps. They added flagstone to my porch, steps, and walkway. They cleaned up behind themselves. They did an excellent job, and I will call them again for another project. One of my neighbors commented that my steps are gorgeous.

I want to first thank Adding Construction ‘s owner, Mr Gerardo Marcos, for coming to our home to review what was to be done. He assessed our steps and was able to redo the contract because it was not necessary to redo all of our steps. Once he explained what was required ,he fixed the damage steps and sidewalk with such precision and expertise the neighbors even complemented on the work!!! We would definitely recommend this company for not only the outside work but we will be calling them again for additional help with projects inside our house. Thank you again for your service!!!

We are very pleased with the time service and the quality of work the Adding Construction crew performed for our new front path. A water main break caused our path to crack, once the dirt settled we wanted to get the cement work done so we can move on to redoing the landscaping. They fit us in so the concrete was done within a week of our first contact! I’ll be meeting with them again next week for a quote to repair our deck.

We hired this company for the masonry work, for an outdoor project lining our existing front walkway with bricks. Unfortunately, due to several factors, we would not hire again. This primarily includes having no invoice or record of agreements/pricing, lack of organization and communication on what customer wants, accidentally cutting our fios cable prompting repairs, and finally (most importantly) the final result was so poorly done for an expensive cost we need to find another company to help us fix/improve the look.

The manager was very polite and professional at the quote appointment. We agreed on the project and price -- laying the bricks (i purchased) with concrete for longevity for $1500 -- we arranged dates and times for the work. But there was no invoice or record of agreement. And for the remaining work, never saw the manager again, even when I asked him to come the final day.
When work started by 2 employees, it was looking great. I saw they were laying the bricks over the top of a layer of concrete. But then, while digging near the house, they cut our Fios internet cable. We needed to arrange for Verizon to repair, adding in costs. Adding Constructiob manager never showed up.
Next issue was as they were wrapping up -- they filled the bricks with both polymer sand and the existing regular tan sand we already had. Not only 2 different colors - but we didnt want the sand!

Instead of apologizing, the manager tried to convince me to keep it (over texts). But I said, that's not what our agreement was for. I asked him to come and we could discuss in person.

Reluctantly he sent his 2 workers the next day and they filled with concrete --- but looking like all the photos (taken 1 week later). He never showed up which was really unprofessional. I shouldn't have paid them, but I did --- so now all I can do is provide a warning to any potential customers not to hire this company for masonry. And ask for an invoice and plan.

Excellent work from Adding Construction LLC. They did everything they promised, and the results turned out great. Very responsible people who clearly know what they’re doing. I definitely recommend them.

Whew! I’m so re-leaved! Bought a house and the first thing I said was look at the leaves when I pulled in the driveway. I needed to get them up before a delivery on Saturday. The leaves had to be a foot deep around the back entrance. Jumped on Yelp and found Adding Construction. Sent a message, we met at noon and at 8:30 the next morning a crew was at my house. They picked up ALL the leaves and cleaned the gutters. I’m impressed by the timely response and the quality work. They do a lot of other work. I’ll be calling again when I need something else done at my home. Very professional and great work ethic. I recommend this team.
