On January 17,2021, I hired Spence's Tree Service to remove three trees, stumps, and trimming of another tree. He gave me a free estimate and the price was very fair. I couldn't believe it, but more important was his employees were experts at what they did. They got right to work. They practiced safety precautions, wore their masks and cleaned up each site as they took the trees down. They worked very hard and steady and had the job done in less than four hours. They also made sure that the roads around my house were clean and had no debris left behind. I highly recommend this company and plan in the near future to use them again. We were in need of having 8 trees removed, 2 trees trimmed and 7 stumps ground. We arranged an appointment with Matt and he was very punctual in coming to see the work needed and gave us a quote the same day. Having used Spence Tree Service in the past, we did not even consider using any other company. One week later Matt and his crew arrived to begin work. His crew is highly efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous. They wasted no time getting the trees down, which two by the way were very close to buildings. They then trimmed two trees and wanted to make sure they removed what we thought was necessary. During the entire process, part of the crew was constantly cleaning up. When they left, the property was as clean as when they arrived. The next day they returned to grind the stumps and once again did an excellent job and cleanup. We cannot put into words how pleased we were with every aspect of the work performed and would highly recommend their services to anyone. If we could give a ten star rating, this company would surely deserve it! Thank you so much Matt and crew.

Just a really excellent experience with Spence’s from start to finish. They were so responsive—I heard back from my initial inquiry within the same day, had them out the next day to look at our property, and had a quote just two days later (on a holiday, even). It was no trouble getting the services scheduled and every part of the actual pruning and tree removal was so professional and efficient. One of the things I appreciated the most was that they genuinely listened to my concerns and were careful to ensure that everything was completed exactly as requested, which made the whole thing very low-stress, which never seems to be the case when you are hiring people to do something at your house. We’ll definitely work with them again the next time we need any tree services.

Matt was very responsive and informative through the process- from assessing the property and coordinating to have a crew onsite the very same day to following up to ensure everything was done to my satisfaction. Isaiah and the crew did an outstanding job- they were punctual, professional, and well coordinated. I was very impressed with the precision in how the climbers and ground crew dropped four 100+ foot poplar trees that were next or in close proximity to structures. I plan on using Spence’s in the future and highly recommend.

Kenny the estimator was great. Maggie the office manager was great. Jose and his team were great as well. They trimmed the trees just the way i wanted. They bucked up the pieces i wanted to keep and chipped/hauled the rest. They were all professional, courteous, and hard working. Great experience with these people.

We are extremely satisfied with this company. I contacted several people to get quotes on the work we needed done. We got a response back from Spence Tree Service within a few hours letting us know they can come out the next day (Monday). The weather that Monday was horrible it was pouring down rain. (This shows dedication) Matt looked around and checked the area needing work. When finished we received the quote back pretty quickly. We scheduled a time for them to come out and do the work.
The day they came out to remove the trees was a beautiful sunny day. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up EVERYTHING in the surrounding area (this surprised both of us.) Someone else was to come out at a later time for the stump grinding, we were under the impression this would take place another day. Well, later the same day Matt was back to grind up the two stumps. By the time he finished and was moving to load up it started to rain again.
We would highly recommend Spence's Tree Service to anyone looking to have tree work completed.
(We are still waiting on the other quotes and that was 2-3 weeks ago.)

Excellent tree removal team. Removed large 100+ yr old oak that was dying from insect attack. Location was very tight: 10 ft from house with over hanging limbs, 5ft from neighbors fence. Stump is 50 inches accross..
Team of 5 well trained, talented workers completed the job in one day. They arrived with the proper equipment, skill, & attitude to finish a complicated task. The tree was removed and hauled away. My decks and driveway were cleaned up.

As a result of the January 1st. snow and ice storm we had 4 trees that had to be taken down and so many large pine to tree branches down and hanging. We called Matt (Spence's Tree Service) and two other companies to come out and give a quote. Matt was the most inclusive, reasonable and his reviews we all top notch, so we hired them.

The services were outstanding. They came out one afternoon well before the scheduled start date. They worked until dark, getting the majority of the work done safely and professionally.
They returned the next day to finish up leaving these areas better than what they originally looked like.

Quality and professional outfit. Will use them again without hesitation. I have and will recommend the to friends and family.

Matt and his crew were fantastic from beginning to end! During the estimate he clearly flagged all the trees and shrubs we wanted cleared to give us a visual using different colors for trimming vs. removal. He was prompt in coming to our property to give us an estimate and the morning of the job. He was responsive throughout the whole process. His crew was polite, respectful, skilled, and asked me my opinion during the job. We will definitely use Matt and his crew again for our future tree trimming/removal and landscaping needs!

Phenomenal experience and service! Very knowledgeable representative and highly skilled workers made this somewhat daunting task relatively stress free. Kenneth, the Representative, worked with us in the number of trees to be taken down, stump grinding, and costs associated with Spence’s removing the logs versus us removing them. Jose, the foreman, took great care to ensure that none of the four structures (house, in-ground swimming pool, and two medium sheds) were not damaged in the removal of four trees looming over the structures. The smallest of the trees was about 60’ tall and 36” in diameter and the largest was approximately +75’ tall and 61” in diameter. Highly recommend for their pricing and workmanship.

Professional, friendly, and accommodating. When I first started searching for a company, many places didn't return my call or email. My husband saw Spence's trucks down the street and we were able to talk to their very nice, front desk staff, immediately. We were able to get on their schedule within a couple days (due to my schedule). The estimator was on-time, very thorough, and friendly. We had two trees taken down, one was a massive oak tree, and the crew completed the entire job in one day. The crew cleaned up better than I could have expected, and were very good at communicating with us through every step of the process. They even accommodated our last minute changes. Overall, I would recommend this business to everyone based on our exceptional experience. Don't think twice, just make the call!

This is my second time using Spence’s Trees Service and it won’t be the last. Matt was very knowledgeable and made the process easy and quick. The team showed up on time at 8am and quickly got to work. The clean up was better than expected. The crew was very professional and remembered us from the last time they came which was over a year ago. Honestly it was just nice to find a company that gave you a fair price and showed up when they said they would. We will definitely be calling again for more of our landscaping needs.

Woke up to a fallen tree spanning the width of our backyard. My first call was to Matt. As usual, he responded quickly. Omar was onsite shortly after to provide a quote. Fortunately, the crew had a job in the area so they were able to remove the tree the same day. This has been our experience with Spence’s Tree Service from our first call to Matt several years ago. Quotes are reasonable and service is exceptional.

They have been able to come out the same day I submit requests for services to give me a quote and even been able to fit me into the schedule the same day. I will defiantly be using them again.

Jose and the crew did a great job. They took great care not to damage other foliage around the dead tree. A few small branches and leafs fell into the neighbor's yard and they quickly removed them. I will definitely use Spence's if needed in the future.

We received quotes from several quotes from several differ companies and Spence was not the least expensive, but we were impressed by Spences reputation (reviews) and Matt who came to give us a quote. He was on time, courteous, friendly, professional, and honest. He also was the only person to come and mark the trees that we needed to take down to avoid confusion! The price was reasonable but what really sold us was the customer service all around. We have found our go to tree service provider!

Spencer’s did an absolutely amazing job. We had seven large trees removed from around our home. My husband communicated with them prior to the project and they were easy to get in touch with and very responsive. The trees were close to the house/branches were over the roof and all of the workers here worked skillfully and carefully. We also had the stumps grinded and it’s as if the trees were never here! Their team did a great job of cleaning up. They used a leaf blower to make sure our back deck, driveway, etc. we’re totally cleaned off. For the quality of work and the quantity of trees, the cost was 110% worth it and seems like an amazing deal as we did get quotes from other tree removal businesses.

Extremely friendly and professional from start to finish. They answered all my questions, handled everything smoothly, and made the entire process stress-free. I’ll definitely hire them again for future projects—couldn’t have asked for a better crew or experience!
