I have to say that I am very picky when having work done around the house. Like many, I attribute price to quality. When I met with Matt for the estimate I had several more estimates lined up. He put me such at ease that I cancelled the rest and put his crew to work. We had 6 total trees removed 4 of which were right next to my garage. They left the wood I requested and removed all smaller brush. The team was fantastic showing up on time and keeping in touch with me throughout the day. At the end of the job they cleaned up each site and anywhere saw dust went. My yard looks like the trees were never there!!! I highly recommend Spence's Tree service and I will use them in the future!!

This is the third time in a number of years Matt's crew has come to my home and trimmed the trees surrounding my house and removed a few large trees. Because of his expertise in this kind of preventative maintenance we have never had any damage from any storm. The crew is on top of their game. It is incredible to over see their agility high up in the trees. Always polite and eager to please. Thanks Omar & crew!

Often Google reviews are left to highlight negative or poor service. For once I'm super happy to do the opposite. I had an outstanding experience with this company. They were in the neighborhood working on numerous trees down in the area, related to a bad storm. I approached an individual later identified as ryan.

Ryan was super empathetic on the fact of the damage to my property, and was able to provide a completely reasonable price for an excellent service. In total they ended up removing trees and then removing the refuse. This was all done at a reasonable price, and after hours.

When is the last time you saw a company stay late to make sure they got a job done because it impacted somebody's families. I cannot emphasize the quality of service I received in the value of that service. Highly recommend

We couldn’t be happier with the excellent work that Spence’s Tree Service provided. Matt, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He was so timely in coming out, providing an estimate and then scheduling the work we needed done and charging a fair price. The crew chief and crew were pleasant and frequently checked to make sure that the work was meeting our expectations. We will look nowhere else when our next tree service is needed.

The team from the initial consult on site to the trimming and cleanup did a great job! They trimmed some low hanging tree limbs over my house and the dog yard. I was very pleased with their work! They scaled those tall trees with ease and no one branch hit my house or fence. Customer service was top-notch, too! We had three estimates locally from Calvert, and Spence Tree Service came in with a better estimate! I highly recommend this company. Great work team!

This company came to survey my 3 acre property upon request, making sure to tag trees that needed to be removed, and never provided an estimate. After 4 text messages and 3 phone calls to the business inquiring on the release of my estimate I was finally given the following response...

"Thanks again for having us out. After reviewing everything, we’ve determined that we’re unable to complete the work as discussed and the scope of work is outside what we typically take on, so we won’t be able to provide an estimate."

After further probing to determine how a tree company CAN'T CUT DOWN TREES, I was given a response of the company not wanting to perform the work due to the representative NOT UNDERSTANDING that WHOLE LIFE INSURANCE is an investment and you can actually pull from it to pay for things such as this. They stated that I was trying to commit insurance fraud thru a disaster insurance company basically because I requested additional trees to be taken down. Not one supervisor or manager reached out to express concern to where I could explain what their rep obviously didn't understand, yet labeled me as fraud. I would have provided more information for clarity, but no return calls, no return texts and finally an email that stated the above. Perfectly fine NOT DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU AND WILL BE EVEN BETTER ENCOURAGING MY NEIGHBORS WITH SIGNIFICANT TREES NOT TO EITHER.
