I used Carroll Landscaping in March of this year to replace a row of large dying spruce trees with 12 new green giant arborvitae. They also built a small boulder retaining wall at one corner of the house where ground slopes and mulch kept washing out of the bed. They did an excellent job. The entire process was seamless and professional, from providing a price estimate, and removal of old trees/installing new, to clean up. The project manage and crew were great to work with. The trees were nice , healthy looking ones and have already grown. Will definitely use them again next spring for a clean up, mulching, etc. of our entire property.

I recently hired Carroll landscape to build a retaining wall at my home, with a lot of moving parts, the team they sent out did a great job and a reasonable amount of time. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire them for any future project. Definitely one of the better companies out there! Thank you bob and Carroll landscape for a great experience!

Carroll Landscaping’s crew have done a few projects for us. They have transformed our front yard garden beds, put up a beautiful fence, and are now installing an ADA accessible ramp and pathway that will allow us to provide programs at our non profit. We are so happy and excited about the work that they have done. They are a wonderful company to work with and really listen to your vision while providing great recommendations based off of their expertise. This is the fourth project we have hired Carroll Landscaping, Inc. and we are thrilled with the results! Our first projects consisted of a very large patio under and around our deck, the second was under-decking which created a dry space under the deck for entertaining, next was a gutter job, and most recently the front yard with a retaining wall. Carroll Landscaping have never let us down, the quality of work is impeccable.

We had multiple problems in our front yard, overgrown landscaping from when the house was built, dark areas, tree root problems, and an overall lack-luster front. We have always been concerned about the front steps with regards to safety and not having a rail to keep people from taking a wrong step off the side. We had finally had enough and asked Kevin to come out and help us with some ideas. We decided to forgo the idea of a railing in favor of a short wall level with the main step, and a lower wall that would wrap around the house. I've always admired retainer walls, and I was already considering one for the front.

I received full plans within the matter of a couple days, and after one or two small changes, we signed the contract. The crews were on the job within a few weeks (2-3 tops). I was shocked to see the progress after only one day, then the second, third, fourth.... I felt like I was a kid in a candy store coming home each day to see more progress. Everyday, the crew picked up the yard so as not to be an eye soar to the neighbors, and out of respect to me - the customer.

At one point, the crew need to trim the side of the driveway to make room for the wall nearest the garage door. I'm talking like only an inch or two at most. Well, because the edge of the drive (as all are) it is packed at a 45 degree angle. After the wall was set, the crew added some asphalt to create a very clean transition from the driveway to the wall. Otherwise, I would have had a wedge that would have kept collecting junk. I wan't expecting this add-on as it was not defined in the contract. They new it wouldn't look right, and did the right thing.

The entire project was completed within 5 days, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results! I've had as many as 8 neighbors stop by in the first day to extend compliments for how beautiful job Carroll Landscaping did.

Carroll Landscaping has done two hardscape projects for us, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience and the results. We found them last year when we were looking for a company to replace our 40-year-old timber retaining walls, which were rotting. When Bob came out to do the estimate, I was blown away by his knowledge and design sense. He patiently answered my many questions, and even took the time to offer great advice about some about other gardening issues. I was worried that the work might damage my large Goshiki holly, but Bob assured me they would protect it, and that everything would look beautiful when they were done. The proposal they sent was comprehensive and gave us confidence that the job would be handled expertly. Steve and his crew arrived early every day and worked incredibly hard. They took care of my holly, replanted the perennials that had to be moved, mulched, and cleaned everything up—it is indeed beautiful! They were a pleasure to work with and did an amazing job, and we often get compliments on the new retaining walls.

This year we asked Bob to come back to look at our failing patio and give us options for fixing it. Again I was impressed by his understanding of the issues and our concerns, and when he said he would have the same team do the work, we knew we were in good hands. Steve and his crew removed the existing flagstone, created a properly compacted and graded foundation using the existing footprint, and installed manufactured pavers to create a tightly-joined, level surface for socializing and enjoying our grill and firepit. They even used the old flagstones to create a safe (and pretty!) walking path in our hillside garden. And this time they took good care of a prized beautyberry bush. (They had to move it in order to access the backyard, so they planted it in a safe, out-of-the-way spot, and after they finished the patio, they replanted it in the perfect location. It is thriving, and I am delighted.)

Carroll Landscaping is not the cheapest company around, but I believe they are the most knowledgeable, experienced, and customer-focused one, and worth every penny we paid them. I am so thankful we found them.

Soon we are having their maintenance team come out to do our fall cleanup and mulching. Can’t wait to see the results!
