I got Authorized electric through AHS. I requested for electric burning smell in the house and the electrician who came said nothing was wrong while I said I could smell it. I had to drag him back when he tried to leave and again he didn't even try to look around. I was left with burning smell in the kitchen area. He also made me feel I was acting crazy, which is totally unprofessional.

Three hours later, my kitchen and dining room power went out. Now I have flash lights on in the kitchen to clean out the dinner. This could've well prevented if the electrician performed the job what he supposed to do in the first place.

My day was totally wasted waiting for the service that left me with no electricity in the kitchen. God only knows how long it will take to get it resolved.

Needed a repair that should have been covered by our American Homeshield warranty. Ceiling fan needed a new receiver. Scott indicated in the "diagnosis" that the fan needed a new receiver and that there was a "missing part." American Homeshield is a sham and Authorized Electric is part of their farce for denying repairs. The "missing part" diagnosis was their way of screwing the customer over and not providing service. Very displeased.

I had issues with a couple light switches not working, he came on time and fixed both switches without any extra fees. He was polite without being overbearing, I will call him if I ever need an electrician again.

We've had Scott out on two occasions different issues. Both times timely, professional, and communicative. Explained what he thought were the issues, addressed appropriately, and completed the work. Would highly recommend..

The electrical outlets in all 3 of my bathrooms were not working and AHS Home Warranty sent them out. I received a call from Authorized Electric the same day I submitted the service request and they scheduled me for repairs the next day. Technician arrived within time block quoted. Repaired broken GFI and tested all outlets. Work completed within 30 mins...totally satisfied.

I had a circuit breaker that wouldn't reset. All electricity was shut off in my family room.
Scott texted and called about the appointment time, and arrived 5 minutes early. In this COVID-19 situation, Scott took all pre-cautions - face mask, gloves, social distancing.

Scott checked all the outlets in family room. He discovered a short circuit that was actually outside, a connection from the house to the light post. I imagine it was difficult to diagnose that issue. Scott had everything working in just under an hour.

I highly recommend working with Authorized Electric!

Authorized Electric was sent by AHS because I had reported I had no power to 2 switches. Scott came and diagnosis the problem and even showed me what the problem was. I was very please with the time he arrived and with his professionalism while there. Thank u for a job well done.

Very pleased. Very professional, personable, and quick to call back and adjusted his schedule around mine! Scott arrived early, found the difficult problem and fixed it. I rarely write reviews, but his company really deserved this review. Thanks again Scott!

Authorized Construction is on time, professional, quick, and very knowledgeable. I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years and Scott is one of the best. Easy to schedule; he will call, text, voicemail, and email you for excellent communication. Very happy and satisfied. I would highly recommend his company.

This company saved our home and quite possibly our lives! We had a breaker that had tripped twice, there was a buzzing sound from the breaker box and our lights were flickering. We used another company through AHS. They didn't do anything but to suggest that we change the light bulbs and don't plug in the heater. He never tested the faulty breaker. The buzzing sound was still there and lights still flickered. We used Authorized Electric as a second opinion. The technician quickly found that the breaker was bad and had fire damage. It just took someone with experience to properly diagnose the issue. They were very prompt and professional and explained everything. I will forever be grateful!

Amazing!!! I was assigned Authorized Electric through AHS home warranty. I placed the service request at 10:30. I received a call within 10 minutes. Scott came 7 am the following morning and had both light fixtures fixed by 7:25. That is less than 24 hours from our request to problem fixed and didnt need to take anytime off from work. Thank you Scott!!!

    Additional review 6-17-21
Had a bad outlet... Scott (and apprentice) showed up on time, answered my "cause" concerns and replaced the faulty, melted outlet. Tested all other available outlets before leaving. Again, courteous, professional and prompt service. Always a pleasure to work with, would recommend highly.

6 months ago... Needed 2 bathroom fans fixed ... Scott was on time (early), replaced/installed new motors, quickly and courteously. All good!
Referred by AHS, Authorized Electric LLC, provided excellent service and problem resolution.
I put a lot of stock in good quality service, friendly, courteous and professional people... Authorized Electric LLC, shows excellent customer care.
Would definitely recommend and use again.

I filed a claim with my home warranty company that I was having an electrical issue. Well within 24 hours Scott contacted me and scheduled an appointment for first thing the following morning. He was professional and courteous on the phone. He arrived 3 or 4 minutes early, again professional and courteous. He immediately got to work researching the problem and in less than half an hour he figured it out and fixed it. it was one of the best customer experiences I've ever had. Thanks Scott!

I have never been more disappointed in a service provider in my life. If I can save a single person from going thru what I just went thru I will sleep better at night.

Things started OK with the technician attempting to locate my issue and then suddenly he said he had to go and my problem was in the ceiling and he would need to write it up to my warranty company and come back. He in my opinion had located the loss of signal in the ceiling with his equipment but did not marking or pointing out exactly where he lost the signal.

I spent hours corresponding with the company to try to get the technician to come back tell me exactly where the fault is and I would then cut the hole in the drywall (something I am qualified to do) and they would repair the electrical fault (I thought this is what they were qualified to do). They said "no the technician would be standing around wasting his time" and once I removed the drywall and located the fault they would come back. It took me less than 3 minutes to cut each hole but I guess for some companies that requires $460. I don't know about most of you but I don't make $460 every 3 minutes and my money doesn't flow so easy.

This is where the extortion begins. The company then wants me to either remove the ceiling and locate the source of the fault so I tried to work with them. I opened the ceiling in the area the technician was last working based on my memory but until I found the fault the price to help locate the fault (which they already did) was $460 to show up and $120 per 20 minutes after that ($360/hr). My warranty would only kick in when the fault was located.

I chose to do the work myself as being extorted out of $100's maybe $1000 dollars seemed a little much. Unfortunately I dont have the equipment an electric company has so I had to use the old trial and error method (I cut 3 holes in the drywall instead of 1 that would have been required).

Please be careful if they show up to do warranty work as they view this a an open ticket to figure out how to take your hard earned money.

As you can see by the companies response this is what you are walking into. I guess this helps prove my point, They are right I will never be a customer and I think this shows why.

I was very pleased with Scott who came early and did an excellent job adding to my breaker box. He also made sure the breaker box was labeled correctly for me as it was not set up very well. He also took time to explain how the new breakers worked. He knew exactly what he was doing and kept the area spotless. I would highly recommend this company. Thank you Scott very much. I am thankful for your excellent work!

I just purchased a house a couple months ago, and had some electric issues (kitchen appliances that were hard wired and the new ones were not). Scott was prompt, very friendly, and honest about what I needed. He did not make me feel overwhelmed at all, and explained things to me in a simple way that i could understand. I am very happy with all the work I have had him do...installed a new outlet, put it on its own circuit, and fixed the electric that runs outside. I am very happy, and if I need any additional electric work in the future this will be my first call. Thank you, Scott!!

Authorized Electric was contracted twice through my home warranty company and both times I was impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, and sense of urgency. I've had 4 different technicians come to my home between 3 seperate service visits and each time they were able to locate the issue and provide a solution in a timely manner. I have not had good luck with the companies that American Home Shield has sent out (Baltimore area) however Authorized Electric has been the one company to restore my faith in this warranty program. You can move forward with Authorized Electric knowing that all of their technicians are well trained, communicate well, and are dedicated to their trade.

I was very pleased with the promptness of this company the professionalism of the persons who showed up to fix my light switch and also replace my fluorescent lighting with LED lighting. Although my American Home Shield warranty service did not cover the LED lighting they’re price to install it and remove the ballast Was quite reasonable.

This company was assigned to do some electric work through my home warranty company. The work needed was behind my stove, in the process of pulling my stove out the contractor damaged my floor, after attempting to fix it with a hammer which made it worse, he assured me he would let his management know about the damages and someone would contact me. After a day of hearing from no one i reached out myself leaving a message cause no one answered. My call was returned by a very rude manager, who accused my husband of damaging our kitchen floor and even made a statement that " if that gentleman cannot be honest about damaging the floor than what would he ever be honest about in life " and then hung up on me. Their technician was the dishonest one, apparently he was not supposed to move the stove which i was unaware of, had I'd known i would of gladly moved it for him. But to keep himself out of trouble he lied and blamed it on my husband after admitting to us he accidentally destroyed my floor. This company is not taking accountability for their mistake. Awful customer service. If I could give no stars I would.
