I'm sorry i really wanted to be happy with this company. The staff are extremely friendly but my hvac went out and I spent 8 days in the cold. They ordered and fixed the part. And less then 20
Hours later it's broken again. We having another winter storm and I will have to spend another weekend in a cold home. I'm so disappointed. I purchased this system 4/26/2024.

I’ve had Constellation Home for a few years. Before now, most of my issues were related to billing. I get 2 separate bills (one for heat/air and the other for electric/plumbing). For some reason they tend to bill me for one service and not the other and then my bill is significantly higher the following month because they are billing me what they should have billed me for originally. It’s a pain, but not a deal breaker. I just pay the amount my bill should actually be.

This last issue is wayyy more than a billing issue! I have been without heat for OVER TWO WEEKS!!! When the technician came to check my furnace on Sunday, November 16th, he stated I needed a part that he didn’t currently have. He said the part should be in within a day or two and someone would send me an email or call me to schedule another appointment. A few days later…NOTHING! I called on Thursday November 20th and was told the part was there ..no one called or emailed and of if I didn’t call, the part may have still been sitting there. They scheduled a technician to come out that following Sunday, November 23rd. The technician came and stated we needed a gas valve (another part that needed to be ordered) and was told it should be there the following day and I would receive a call or email. NOTHING!! I called on Tuesday, November 25th and was told the part was on hold, per the system but the parts department was closed. The gentleman said he sent a note for someone to call me the next day. NOTHING! So I called back on Wednesday, was informed the part came in and I should receive a call or email once the part was scanned. STILL NOTHING! With Thursday being Thanksgiving, I called on Friday. ONCE AGAIN..I was informed the part was there and they were just waiting on the part to be scanned. STILL NOTHING!! I called again today, Saturday November 29th, same response..the parts department says its there…but its waiting to be scanned and I was told I would receive a phone call this time. I have not heard nothing!!! It’s 40 degrees during the day and colder at night! This is unacceptable! I have an elderly person at my house and young kids. I can deal with the billing issues but no heat for over two weeks and the lack of response it’s terrible business. I do not recommend Constellation Home! There are several home warranty companies, don’t waste your money!

Have the home comfort plan through Constellation Home, Maryland . States 24/7 service . I now realize there is 24/7 scheduling service, not repairs . The Gas valve on furnace leaking and filled the house will gas smell. Called BGE emergency gas leak number . BGE came and found a gas valve was staying open on the furnace, needs a new valve . Made an appointment with Constellation home , next day appointment was available.
When tech shows up , was there less than a minute . Technician doesn’t carry gas control valve on his truck, has to be ordered . This unit was installed by constellation home , 4 years ago, they only sell Trane units , but don’t carry parts for common failures .
There is no escalation phone number for Constellation Home other than to call the scheduling dept.
Freezing weather with no heat and no urgency on Constellation parts is unacceptable.
Regretting I have paid for this plan for so many years , only to find out when you need them most , they aren’t there to help and make the repair.
Apparently these are readily available at supply stores after a quick internet search.

Please provide a Contact info , I would be Happy to reply as google does not allow private contact.

Called to have my HVAC fixed a tech came out two weeks later. Told me they had to order a part and couldn't give me any updates, I get a call about a week later and schedule for then to come a total of two weeks later. They returned with the wrong part and give me no updates again on when it'll be fixed. I had to take off work early because the time frame they show up is 12- to whenever they feel like it. And now I'm gonna have to do it again for them to hopefully return with the right part?? Long story short would recommend calling a professional company before these guys.

Buyers beware had a brand new AC system installed back in the summer since then four service request on this central air unit first my brand new unit was louder than the 24 year-old unit I had I chose to get a new unit instead of piecing the old unit second service call technician came out and said I had a defaulted motor and blades third request call replaced motor blades and ran the drain from outside which was making a swamp in my yard to the basement where it should’ve been installed from the get-go 25 feet from my sump pump fourth service call was due to now it’s fall running my heat and my central air unit on the outside was running at the same time and you tell me you have qualified installers !!!! By the way, I am still waiting from a call response from the district manager. Someone who gives a damn or a supervisor I did hear from a supervisor in service. I am waiting for someone in upper management from the installment department. They did give me a whole $20 discount on one month big deal this is $1 billion company come on constellation home. You need to revise your commercial that says you have same-day installation. A lie qualified installers another lie buyers beware

100% disappointed I purchased a brand new installation of an AC unit back in the summer. I’ve had four service calls since then which is totally ridiculous.
This new unit was the same brand Rheem same as my old 24 year-old unit I decided to replace the whole unit instead of patching parts, and having constellation home install boy do I regret this decision. this has been nothing short of a nightmare. The first service call was approximately two weeks after the initial installation. My brand new unit was so loud. I was getting complaints by my next-door neighbors mind you I live in a cul-de-sac single-family home. This is how loud the unit was. during this visit, I had a swamp on the side of my home where the unit had been installed. The installers ran my drain discharge outside instead of running it in the basement 25 feet from my sump pump. next visit was due to my home, which is not large at all was not getting the proper coolness due to the negligence of Constellation home, not putting in the proper refrigerate doing that visit upon arrival after getting out of the car the service tech informed me he could hear my unit as he was walking to the side of my home then he informed me that it was supposedly a manufacturers defect came back, replace the fan outside and the motor. icing on this cake is it is now full. I turned my heat on and somehow the wires were crossed up and every time my heat would run my central air unit would be running as well. Come on now constellation home you need to revamp your commercial that comes on every other commercial saying you have qualified technicians same-day service my last service call which was Monday, November 11 that’s when I was told the wires were not installed correctly. I did receive a call from a supervisor in the service department still waiting on a district manager, or someone who cares to explain to me how I have been dealing with supposedly a certified installation of a brand new Central air unit buyers beware!!! Same-day service does not apply. This is false advertisement and I’m still waiting to be compensated in what country do they run the air and heat at the same time!! Constellation home and you have the nerve to keep going up please note that I am canceling my contract. I’ve had with them for 15 years and going with blue dot

We've a couple of times we setup service calls and asked for a specialist, but was sent out someone else (ie asked for an electrician to put in a new outlet box on our stove and they send a stove technician, ask for a plumber for replacement of refrigerator water line and they send out a refrigerator technician) and we specifically specified the person we needed to come out on line also indicated in additional notes. Getting back to stove outlet box. The technician replaced the plug and a couple of years later (yesterday 12/16/25) and they came to install the stove and said they couldn't put plug it in, because the outlet box that Constellation Home installed was a washer dryer plug. When I need work done I am counting on Constellation Home to put the proper equipment in to replace the old equipment ( I just think it was a switch he had on the truck and used that). The guy delivering the stove said he could do it for $250 and I told him no that Constellation Home put the wrong switch in we'll let them do it, plus we have the monthly service policy and they don't charge anything. Mind you this is a electrical code violation ( called Baltimore county Electrical codes and they told me. My wife called to setup appointment and explained the situation to them ( how they put the wrong plug on there in the first) and indicated we need someone as soon as possible to fix the problem. The person said let check and came back and said the best we can do 12/26/25. My reiterate how important it was we get it hooked before then with the holidays coming ( it's probably a 15 to 20 minute job, because that's how long he was here last time, plus she told them our microwave went up also). She said there was nothing they could do. I called to talk to a supervisor and the customer service representative said hold on came back and said there was no supervisors available. I said please have one call me. N0 one called, so I called back that afternoon 12/26/25 and told the customer service representative I've been waiting since the morning for a supervisor to call me. She put me on hold and got a supervisor. I spoke to the supervisor and explained my situation to and told her that we were desperate and was hoping she could slip us in before 12/26/25 , and it's probably only a 15 to 20 minute job. She put me on hold and came back and said there is nothing I can do for you. We can put you a call list incase someone cancels. I told here I've been a customer of Constellation Home for 40 years now and I pay alot of money on there service plan each year and you can't help out a good customer for all those years and has never been late on a monthly payment. I told I just need you to help me out in this situation. Plain as day she said there is nothing I can do. I told her that you sure aren't giving good customer service, from not helping good customers to sending out wrong technicians. I told we'll you just lost my business and that I would be calling to cancel my service policy with Constellation Home. She didn't care about that statement either, just sorry I can't help you.

I’m sharing my experience so others can proceed with caution. I had several issues with my repair, including poor follow-through, incorrect parts ordered twice, and an unnecessary repair diagnosis.

I called Constellation in early January to service my water heater, and a technician came out on Jan 13 and said my gas valve was broken. I was told the parts team would follow up, but after two weeks of silence I had to call multiple times. I even received an appointment confirmation where no one showed up.

Because of the delays, I contacted the manufacturer myself and called several parts distributors to locate the correct part, which I shared with Constellation. Despite this, they ordered the wrong part twice. After they finally escalated the issue and confirmed they could order the part, I was told they could install the part because it was recalled. I was shocked at this so I called the manufacturer, who confirmed that some parts were recalled but that the parts that I was trying to order was newer and it was not affected.

Most concerning: after troubleshooting directly with the manufacturer, it turned out my gas valve was never broken. The unit simply needed to be properly restarted after my gas had been shut off. I narrowly avoided paying about $600 for an unnecessary repair.

This process took nearly two months and required constant follow-up on my end. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend using them and if you do, recommend getting a second opinion before approving major repairs.
