Our dryer went out with no warning. Raker Appliance was recommended to me by several people local to the area. I was leaning toward purchasing a brand new dryer as another repairman said mine was old and not worth repairing. Mr. Raker was here in a day with a smile on his face. He even brought a treat for our dog. He was knowledgeable, kind, and fair. The issue was a simple blown fuse, which he fixed in minutes to get us back up and running. It's rare to find an honest repairman today. Most are just looking to take your money and run. I highly recommend Raker Appliance Co. They run their business with integrity, which is hard to find today.

I've used Raker for years and always been pleased with the service and response. Today, I had Max from Raker out to repair my washer. He arrived promptly, was very knowledgeable, thorough, and worked quickly. He went over all my appliances, cleaned my refrigerator coils, fixed a leaky ice-maker water supply, I could not be happier or more confident that I am in good hands when I need help.

I have some town houses in Parkville that I've put on rent. The appliances in those homes need repair sometimes and I always called Raker Appliance company. Their honest, efficient, and charge me way below what big companies like Sears do.

Broken dishwasher, really old....Reid was here in 20 minutes!!! Minor but unusual repair which he was able to diagnose and fix. So nice to have such prompt service and not have to wait for a 6 hour window for someone to show up!

Had a washer problem. Harry arrived on time and had the problem figured out quickly. I agreed to the repair and the washer is working perfectly. I highly recommend Raker to all those requiring repair services.

Harry and Reid have both been out on multiple occaisions. We had a washer issue the Reid diagnosed over the phone. He swung by the house and replaced the bad part in 15 minutes. Harry rescued our freezer that was defrosting. The freezer was stuffed full of meat (1/2 steer, pig, lambs) for the winter and we were desperate at the thought of losing everything. Harry came out and had it back in running order within an hour.

Some appliances weren't worth fixing and Harry was honest enough to tell us. Our microwave died and he told us he could fix it but it would be cheaper to just buy a new one, which we did.

Highly recommended.

I was very impressed with my experience. They were able to fit me in first thing the next morning to fix my dryer. They had all the parts with them so they could complete the job in one visit. The cost was reasonable and John seemed very knowledgeable. I’d use them again for sure!

I typically give 4 stars as my highest, so please don't consider this any indication of less than stellar performance by Raker Appliance Co. 5 stars is reserved for crazy awesomesauce-ness.

Anyway, I called Raker on behalf of our tenants in our rental in Towson. We had a washer that wouldn't run and a garbage disposal that wasn't working. I didn't expect them to be able to get to the home so quickly, but they managed to fit us in that day.

Excellent service. Excellent time. Excellent manners. And they kept us in the loop the whole way. For the part [washer] and the time to fix both appliances, we got charged a total of $295. I've been charged more for less, so reasonable prices considering most places would consider that quick of a turn around time an Emergency repair and tacked on more.

Will be using again.
