I had a repair estimate from another company and a friend recommended I contact Berthiaume. Mike came immediately to inspect the problem. He repaired the system for a lot less than the estimate from the other company. Mike was extremely thorough and trustworthy.

After receiving a quote high above my expectations from another company, I wanted a second opinion. Mike was able to come same day and helped me understand my system and showed me that the quoted work was likely unnecessary. He clearly cares about the Calvert county community and proved to be fair and reliable. It isn't easy to find people like that.

Very quick response to our service request. Technician was professional, polite, and very knowledgeable. We described what our HVAC unit was doing; he was immediately able to resolve our issue.

I called Michael on a Friday after 5pm when my elderly parents AC died. He did not hesitate to head over and fix the issue. Berthiaume heating and air services installed a new Mr.Cool 20 seer universal heat pump system in 2021 in my home. I wanted to wait and see how this system performed over a year before writing a review as I am very picky. When my old system finally failed BHAS responded very quickly and my new system was installed within the same week. The condenser was installed on a concrete pad and it looks great. No sagging from the cheap plastic pads. The air handler was installed in the attic with no disruption to the interior of my home. Also my Ecobee thermostat was reprogrammed for the new system. The Mr.Cool system is impressively quiet and has saved me a lot of money a month on electric costs. BHAS definitely takes pride in what they do. Prior to this replacement I used BHAS each time my old system had issues as it limped along waiting to die. They always showed up either the same day or the following day and had my unit back up and running. I definitely recommend this company. I will use them to perform yearly service maintenance on my new system as well.

During the hottest week of the summer, our condensing unit failed and Mike came out first thing the next morning to diagnose the issue. Due to the age of the system and multiple failed components, we needed to replace the entire system. He fully explained the failure modes and the indications his instrumentation was providing so that I could make an informed decision about repair/replacement. He provided multiple quotes with options for repair or replacement of each component along with timelines for each choice. Within a few days our entire system was replaced and running beautifully. He even came out on a Saturday to finish installation to ensure we didn't have to suffer through the entire weekend with no AC. Thank you, Mike!

Been having issues for 2 years despeite multiple companies coming to service my furnace. Mike came out and diagnosed the issue immediately. As soon as the part came in he fixed it along with putting barries in place to prevent future issues that was also missed by the other companies. Fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. What more could you want?

I called Berthiaume Heating and Air to remove an aged oil system and install a heat pump. I was preparing to sell the house, so the timeline was fairly short fused. We discussed a few options and a few prices, all were reasonable. We came to an agreement and he went to work. They completely replaced the old system, installed some new ductwork, and repaired the existing. The work area was kept clean during the job and left clean at the completion. They “calibrated” the existing “Nest” thermostat, and returned to spot check the new system. I am more than pleased with the price, the service, and the system. I highly recommend this company and have already recommended them to my friends.

My Father In Law's Power Vent went out on his gas furnace. Mike was able to find the part for me the same day which was the day after Christmas. Mike and his crew have always been quick to respond. Nice to know when there is an emergency that they are there.
