We had DMV Waterproofing LLC look at a long-term problem with flooding in our basement. The issue was that the sump pump system we had installed (our 2nd) was constantly failing and water would continue to leak into the basement during heavy rainstorms. Additionally, we had the extensions to the gutter downspouts along the side of the house simply laying across the grass -which became an eyesore and got in the way of lawn maintenance.

These guys were absolutely amazing. My only regret was not calling them and getting this done sooner! The before and after pictures should speak for themselves, but now that its gotten colder I can say with certainty that my floors are so much warmer, the crawlspace temp is within 10 degrees of the house even though its been in the 30s outside, all the bugs, crickets and other pests are gone, I no longer have to worry about mold after they sprayed everything and added the dehumidifier, and my heat has been running a lot less than it used to and the house feels so much more comfortable. The air quality is much better too! For the first time in my life I can't wait to see my next gas bill to see the difference! My system has always struggled to maintain the temperature in the house but no more. I can't wait to see the difference it will make in the summer months too! Overall work was done great! Fast and work looks great. The issue is the follow up. The first thing we noticed was a pretty big stain on the carpet. I think it was from the electrical guy they hired. We cleaned it up so no need to be upset on that. The real issue was afterwards! We started to notice that the floor above 1 of the crawl spaces was constantly cold. We would feel air going in. I decided to go down and investigate and found mulitple small and big holes above where they worked. When I called Oliver he told me they would come look. I told them to please come look since the heater would constantly run and they told me taking the insulation out would help minimize cost. The next day comes and no Oliver so I texted him. He apologized and said he was running behind and couldn't get there. So I called him letting him know to no say something and forget. I understand things happen, So we gave him another chance. Oliver said he would personally come the next day. We'll here we are the next day and what you think happens? No Oliver so I called him. He stated he was running behind. Forget my pipes that could freeze. He told me that they have nothing to do with those holes being under there. I thought that was crazy. How are they crawl space experts that missed all this air and heat that can get it from missed wood being there. When they took off the insulation his guys never noticed it. Im pretty sure they would also fix those if they knew it was damaged. Its not fully encapsulated if there are holes! He stated that he would be therect Monday to take a look for doing a good deed! I thought it was pretty funny how this company that states they are crawl space experts not realizes they are holes down there and not mention anything to us. Then the lack of follow up was completely ridiculous. They could care less after they got the $8000 they charged us. Anyway the good thing is that I have plenty of neighbors and contacts to say I wouldn't recommend them. They did a great job besides missing those items and lack of follow up. Im just another number.
