Constraction reviews in Silver Spring, Maryland

Fantastic! Arrived exactly on time, got many projects completed to absolute satisfaction. Things We'd been putting off for many years thinking we would move away. Done in a few hours. Glad I found BBC! Spouse and I will use again as needed. Nice peeps!

Great team, great work. We’ve hired BBC for a number of jobs, the most major was to renovate our bathroom. We’re very happy about the work and the consistent quality bar. The team works hard to get things done on time and not only solves the original problem, but goes beyond that to make the whole space better than it was before. We will continue to call Fernando for help 👍

I highly recommend the BBC Construction company as they did a fabulous job repairing a water leak on the ceiling of my balcony. They were prompt, professional, and did an excellent job from start to finish. Carlos and Santos were excellent as were the leaders, Fernando and Brian. Many thanks for a super job well done!

BBC is a great great 5* company, fix my old house from top to bottom. Attic, basement, kitchen , 2 baths. Fernando have unmatched knowledge in constraction, know how fix any problems whatever they are: plumbing, electrical, moving air ducts. Will hire again! Hard to find such hardworking guys ! Hire with confidence! Sergey

The team did an excellent job! We had a beautiful walk in shower with free standing tub that had persistent water leaking issues due to it being poorly constructed. Fernando walked us through the underlying issues and the solution needed. He issued us a fair and reasonable quote. The team executed the work wonderfully well while also minimizing disruption, debris, etc. in our home. Very happy and very appreciative.

Fernando from BBC Construction is - by far - the best contractor I have ever worked with in the 12 years I've lived in DC.
This company is honestly the only one that hasn't let me down. All the work they've done has exceeded my expectations.
Fernando is very knowledgeable, punctual, friendly, and respectful, and sets realistic expectations about the timeline of each project and what it will entail.
As a young woman, I have had many negative experiences with other sexist contractors who assume that I lack enough knowledge in their field (electrical, plumbing, etc.) or that I have no common sense, and so they try to scam me or get away with poor quality work. It has been the opposite with Fernando.
He takes the time to patiently and kindly answer every single one of my many questions, and explains things to me as many times as I need him to, always treating me like an equal.
I have an old house, built in 1921, and in the decades before I owned it, it went through renovations that were not done well. This has meant that now every serious project in the house must be done carefully to ensure that it remains structurally sound and safe both in the short and long term. I only trust Fernando to do any work in the house at this point, because I regretted every other time I hired someone else.
I appreciate so much that he always thinks about how to make the result even better than I asked for, and without me asking, cares enough to use his knowledge to come up with ways to make the best of this house that I love despite its limitations (e.g. building recessed shelves to maximize limited space).
His prices are shockingly fair and he gives detailed invoices outlining his projected labor costs. If anything unforeseen comes up that might lead to increased costs, he immediately addresses it with you to discuss options and ensure you are comfortable with the outcome. His team cleans up after themselves and you can see that he treats his workers with respect.
The projects he'd done for me include (but are not limited to):
-Fixing a collapsed wall in the crawl space of my basement (it was so bad, you could see the roots of a tree from inside the house) and ensuring water could no longer leak into the house
- Removing an old retaining wall and building a stunning brand new one
- Replacing old floors with ceramic and vinyl ones
- Building and painting a fence
- Building a concrete walkway in my yard and fixing an old one
- Fixing the flow of rainwater in my yard to protect the house from water damage
- As well as less complex tasks like painting my interior walls
And now, he is currently finishing my basement which is a very complex project given the limitations of the house, but I know it'll exceed my expectations as before.
I am so thankful that Fernando and his team were recommended to me years ago and now I will continue to recommend him to everyone I know in the DMV.

BBC Construction recently completed a bathroom remodeling project for us. The quality of their work was first rate. Fernando (the owner) and Brian (the project manager) worked with us to design the new bathroom and to develop a detailed cost estimate. Once construction started, they continuously coordinated with us to make sure that every detail was exactly as we wanted it. Their construction staff were true craftsmen, and they made sure that every detail was done to the highest standards. Their tile man, Armando, did a particularly exceptional job. They were very careful to cover the floors and furniture in adjacent rooms and the stairwell with plastic to minimize residual dust. They did a great job of cleaning up at the end of the project.

You contract with BBC Construction for their labor. You are responsible for purchasing major items, e.g. tile, vanity, cabinets, and fixtures. They buy incidental materials, and you pay for the exact cost they paid for those materials, with no markup. They completed the job for the amount of their estimate, with no additional costs or scope added during construction.

We expect to be using BBC Construction for other projects around our house in the future based on the quality of their work, their reasonable pricing, and the way they worked with us to make sure that everything was done exactly as we wanted it.

Two years ago, FJ remodeling remodeled our main bath in our co-op in Washington. Six months later our faucet handles jiggled and were not connecting to manage the water flow. It drove us crazy until we recently hired a REAL plumber to help us. Upon taking off the faucet handles he noticed that adapters were part of the system they installed. These were not part of the original Pfister system. He thought that perhaps one of the original handles had been broken during FJ installation and Alex had his guys install some kind of Home Depot replacements but since they didn't fit properly, they added adapters. Our plumber ordered the original handles from the company and sure enough, they were not the handles FJ installed. This is outstandingly bad. Meanwhile, we had a leak of their plumbing connections under the sink and 2 cracks in the floor tile that appeared in a spot over the hot water pipe below (which they knew about) and several wall tiles a jutting out of alignment. We must have gotten the "Z" team from this group and I suggest that their work is poor and
they cannot be trusted.

We could not be happier with Freddy and his team at FJ Construction and Remodelling. Freddy is trustworthy, talented, friendly and extremely skilled. If his direct team needs help, he knows the right people to call to deliver high quality, above average work! Freddy and his team are our contractors as long as we live in MoCo!

This company did an amazing job installing our outdoor patio. Really amazing work. Which included a cooking pit. Creative and talented work and the drainage is the key to the project. No more puddles in the yard and I can cook a whole pig on the pit or in the pit.

This company does high quality work. I had several projects that I had trouble getting people to do. These guys did it really well!

Responsive and quality workmanship. Very happy with the work Amir performed.

Thank you so much for fixing my drywall! I was extremely impressed by the professionalism. The workers and punctual and extremely friendly. I would recommend them to anyone!

Amir came promptly and fixed my doors quickly and professionally. Highly recommend!

We’re so happy with the work done by JB Remodeling! Amir was super kind, helpful and did a great job. Highly recommend.

James B Remodeling has done interior and exterior work at our house. The work is done professionally and competently. When we have home projects, we call them. They’re great!

This firm did two projects for us. Project #1: Full Renovation and Upgrade of Master Bathroom
The team did an excellent job. Outstanding.
They replaced the flooring, cabinets, showers, installed a new bathtub, LED lighting, and a new toilet. In addition, they painted the room. They completed the work on time. They arrived promptly and worked diligently to complete the work.
They were neat and professional. Nothing was damaged and the work space was left clean and neat each and every day.
The bathroom is gorgeous

Project #2: Refurbishing of Basement
Our basement flooded due to a heavy rainstorm in mid-July . We used another contractor to repair this.
Once the waterproofing was completed, the team took over immediately due to our time constraints. They removed the old flooring, replaced it with new, waterproof flooring, repaired some areas of drywall, painted all rooms, and installed baseboard, reassembled our furniture and disposed of all debris.
This basement is a pleasure to use. The team completed the work on time. They arrived promptly and worked hard to complete the work on time.

Amir and his team remodeled my kitchen. From the time he took the initial measurements until the job was completed, was just over two weeks, lightening fast in the world of contractors. Demo and renovation took one day. The one minor problem that dropped up was resolved the very next morning. In all the repairs, remodeling and renovation I have done in 50 years, this was by farmy best experience. An easy five star experience.

Amir and his team handled some significant renovations as well as some minor fixes for us. Amir and his team were excellent. They were meticulous about their work, very professional and easy to work with. We will definitely be working with them again!

While on a recent visit to my home to do some work, Amir and his team discovered water in our basement that we were unaware of. It turned out to be a substantial issue. Nothing we were expecting. Amir and his team expertly diagnosed the problem and did a top notch job repairing it. Highly recommend!

We are so happy with our kitchen remodel! Amir and his team were great. I really appreciated the open communication and advice that Amir gave. And the estimates for timeline and costs were right on, I think they may have actually finished a day early even!
We will definitely use James B. Remodeling again. The whole process was a great experience.
