They came out to give me a quote for installing recessed lights, seemed friendly and helpful but then never actually sent me a quote. If you don’t want the work just tell me, but please don’t waste my time

I have used Niglio and Son Electrical Contractors for years. I have always received prompt and highly courteous service from his electricians, and most of all from Chuck and his son. His prices are very fair as well.

This is the second time I've used this company and the second time I've been thoroughly satisfied with their service. The gentleman taking the call very accurately transcribed the mumbo jumbo from the HVAC specialist that I relayed to him over the phone, and he understood exactly what I said even when I didn't. I got an assessment the next day, and I had a tech scheduled the day after that. Even the tech called to give me updates to potential schedule changes. He came, did the work satisfactorily, and that was everything was resolved within 48 hours. Definitely recommend.

Chuck Niglio is a rip off artist and I’d never recommend his company. He charged us way over market for the work he did and only did the work he wanted to do. That said, we had to hire another electrician because Chuck refused to do the work we discussed with him. He just wanted to instal lights (cheap, commercial lights) at $300-$315 per light.

Thankfully we ended up working with a master electrician who was professional, courteous and on time every day he worked with us.

I think the work they did was decent (however one outlet was definitely installed poorly).

Get referrals and quotes from other master electricians. He’s a pain to deal with and we are sore that we ever met him let alone worked with him.

Recommended highly. Niglio are my go to electricians for all work, commercial and residential. Always very fair pricing, great work and polite workers. I have been working with them for 20 years and always have had the same great results.

My great experience with Niglio & Son started with the estimator, Chuck Sr. I bought a 102-year-old home so my list of upgrades was LONG - about 35 items. Chuck was patient, gave my projects and desires his full attention and he offered much more creative solutions than the other two contractors I met with (and he's just a fun, witty guy!) He's not shy about waving you off projects that could open a can of worms in an old house and be more trouble than they're worth.

Niglio's prices were phenomenally better than their competitors and it didn't take terribly long to get the work scheduled. Chuck Jr. and his assistant Keith spent several days at my home and also scheduled a couple of return trips to make sure all the projects were completed to my satisfaction.

That "creative gene" runs through both father and son, because Chuck Jr. made some great suggestions on site that were better than my original ideas (e.g. the type of motion-sensor lighting under a deck). They were neat and strived to do minimal damage in areas where they had to cut into walls. It was impressive how these guys went "the extra mile" to give great service on things like bringing me the right bulbs for an antique light fixture at no extra charge - and even nailing down some loose treads on my deck stairs! Chuck Jr. also diagnosed a power outage issue with my heat pumps that had nothing to do with their work. His breezy "We got you!" attitude was wonderful.

My only nit-pick would be communications with the front office - information and questions I passed along often didn't seem to make it through to Chuck Sr. or the field crew (unless you can get to Tina, the mom I think? - Tina is ON it, LOL!)

I got great value for the price and Niglio's efficient and excellent work has greatly improved my living experience in my home.

I highly recommend SH Electrical Service. I am getting a sump pump installed next week, and I was looking for a Master Electrician. I could not be happier with the work that Sorin did for me. He was very professional and provided me with a perfectly reasonable estimate. I really liked and appreciated the quality of his work, the attention to detail, his work ethic and the time he took to answer all my questions. He vacuumed and left all areas nice and clean. Without any hesitation I will be calling him gain for additional electrical work.

I am delighted to provide a review for SH Electrical Services. Master electrician Sorin was an excellent professional who was prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable in his work. He replaced my meter box, circuit breaker panel, bathroom fan/switches, and fixed complicated and possibly dangerous wiring in the bathrooms that was installed by a previous owner. Sorin was thorough in his work, explaining each step of the process to me and answering any questions I had. His attention to detail was impressive, and he made sure that everything was up to code and safe before he left.

Sorin's expertise was evident from the moment he arrived at my house, and he took the lead in communicating with Pepco for anything that involved them. This was a relief for me, as I have worked with electricians in the past who left me to fend for myself with Pepco with little knowledge of what was supposed to happen. Throughout the process, Sorin was courteous, respectful, and professional. He took the time to listen to my concerns and provided practical solutions that fit my budget. His communication skills were excellent, and he kept me updated on the progress of the work.

We hired SH Electrical Service based off of a recommendation from a neighborhood list serve. We emailed and they got back to us quickly. I had a great conversation with Sorin who was efficient about scheduling. On the day of our service, Sorin arrived a few minutes early, walked me through his thoughts about the project and he did a great install. He is professional, punctual, knowledgeable and meticulous about his work. Our job was wiring a ceiling fan in our living room. There was no existing wiring in the ceiling so this included running wiring in the attic, connecting to an existing switch and most importantly… the installation of the fan which we’ve wanted for quite some time. We HIGHLY recommend SH Electrical Service and we are thrilled that we used them!

We've found our dream electrician! I can't imagine a better combination of skill, knowledge, skill, pricing, and great personal demeanor.
We've used Sorin for two jobs:
-- He installed a 240V circuit and receptacle when we switched from a gas to an induction range, handling our old house and its weird walls/joists very smoothly.
-- He also did our EV charger, bringing the 240v line from the basement box to the front-lawn charger post. Great advice and execution all the way.
He planned, explained, and executed both projects flawlessly--and very pleasantly. We'll never call anyone else!

Sorin is truly skilled, and he explained things logically and easily tailored to the customer's level. The pricing was reasonable, and he resolved all the issues as we requested. What impressed me the most was how quickly he diagnosed the problem accurately and executed a solution. I've encountered many people who tend to exaggerate problems or make customers anxious to make them spend more money, but Sorin didn't give off that vibe at all.
