We received excellent service from the start. The appointment was made quickly, the estimate was fair and the work commenced the next day. The crew was polite, friendly and easy to have in our home for a few days. We feel good going into the winter months knowing we are safe from a potential chimney fire.

Quality of the work on the chimney was fine. Abraham & his crew did excellent work. I am very pleased with my new chimney.

The downside was the administrative "mis / communication" which at times was confusing & misleading ... especially at the end. Customer Service from support staff needs to improve.

The technicians did an excellent job rebuilding the chimney crown and installing a stainless steel chimney liner required by Montgomery County for gas water heaters and furnaces. They were skilled, efficient, courteous, and neat. I highly recommend.

Two technicians from Capitol Chimney Service arrived during the specified service window. They put booties over their shoes each time they entered the house and laid down a tarp to keep from spilling ashes and soot on the floor. They thoroughly cleaned the firebox, the prefabricated chimney, and the grate. They climbed up on the roof and inspected the lock-top damper; they also inspected the flue. They sent me copies of the photographs of the cleaned chimney flue and firebox and the chimney cap. They completed the service within 45 minutes. This is the second time I have used this company to inspect and clean my chimney.

The job was a chimney flue insert. We had a very positive experience. I received text reminders of my appointment along with notices of projected arrival times. The crew was friendly and informative. They protected our furniture and art with plastic and drop clothes and cleaned up prior to leaving. Look forward to using our fireplace again in a few days.

Worked with these guys for almost a decade. Went to a few companies before finally finding Capitol Chimney. From the scheduler to the techs to the owner, Roger, this company is a friendly, pro outfit and great to work with. Very knowledgeable and experienced techs who walk you through issues, identify potential problems and options. They are considerate of your property and wear shoe guards. Their prices are very reasonable too. I recommend them highly.

Workers were very careful to keep our Living & Dining rooms clean but our screened in porch, which is next to the chimney, is covered with cement dust which we didn't notice till after some rain so the dust got wet and has now adhered to porch railings and furniture.😡

You would be hard pressed to find a company better than Capitol Chimney Service to clean, service and repair all your chimney needs. The technician who came to our house was on-time, thorough and professional. Most of all he was honest and did not try to sell me services I did not need.

SECOND EDIT: Capitol returned to do work identified in their previous visit. They arrived on time, were polite, clean, and did a great job. Pictures shown are after firebrick was installed to replace terracotta tile that the developer had paved the fireboxes with. They also repointed the walls of our downstairs fireplace (repointing not shown).

EDIT: We just had Capitol Chimney back for cleaning and inspection of our fireplaces and flues and will be contracting with them for some repairs. We still recommend them.

We had a large and complex repair job done on our chimney, two flues and two fireplaces. The work took longer than expected but despite that, the workers were courteous, did a neat and clean job, and we were not billed any more than the estimate. Capitol Chimney is probably not the cheapest in town, but the quality of the work and the dedication of the workers to doing a good job made it worth it.

As a follow-up, once we determined that we no longer needed the chimney fan that the previous service had installed, we had Capitol Chimney come back with an electrician to remove the fan. They arrived during the allotted time and performed the work cleanly and efficiently.

The two technicians were knowledgeable, friendly, and completed the repairs and install in only a few hours. They also showed us the work the did and how the chimney looks now. Overall excellent work and I'd recommend them to other customers in need of chimney work.

I am so pleased with my newly installed high-efficiency, wood burning fireplace that was suggested by Capitol Chimney Service. This replaces an out-dated, energy-sucking fireplace that was originally installed in the 80s. Capitol Chimney Service was amazing to work with from beginning to end with providing me specs, explaining process for installing, sharing safety codes, and making sure the final result was flawless. Update 10/2024: Last night, temp dropped to about 40's. I have been running my new fireplace for about a month now. It's everything I expected and more. Firstly, my fires look gorgeous during the evening. When I have the vent opened/closed just right, it looks like watching a fire burn in slow motion [I kid you not]. Last night, after my fireplace got hot enough and turned on the blower, my apt literally heated up from 70 to 76 without the HVAC even running. This fireplace is going to save me loads this winter.

Roger and his team were nice guys. On time. Efficient and very careful and clean. My chimney looks very good.
I'd use them again!
