2025 update:
Went with them again to redo the backyard. Still fast and good. Not cheap but the value matched the cost in a way I was happy with. Highly recommend!

Excellent work, very fast. It was a little tough to get the scheduling down, but all in all better than other contractors. I would highly recommend for any patio and outdoor work, very high quality and clearly knowledgable and experienced.

We could not be happier with the work done by The Outdoor Advantage. We’ve used this company for years to do our leaf pickup, but in the past few months we’ve experienced their professionalism, expertise and responsiveness in new ways. Dave Ewell and his crew first built a retaining wall for our son, then completed a major stream erosion project for us – both went exceedingly well. We appreciated how Dave worked with us to keep costs down – the projects were very reasonable in comparison with other quotes. The crew showed up promptly each day and worked hard –we were amazed by how much they accomplished in a single day. The final result was better than we could have imagined. We highly recommend The Outdoor Advantage!

I worked with Phil and his team to clean up and re-plant all the beds at the house I had recently purchased. On the business side of things, I found Outdoor Advantage to be reasonably priced, easy to work with, and prompt to schedule. As for the work itself, the guys did a phenomenal job. We're very happy with how everything looks. Not only were no corners cut but they did things like - when they had extra mulch toward the end - recommend where else might benefit from it and then spread it there for us (outside of scope). Very good experience, will work with them again!

I used Outdoor Advantage to do some brick repointing repair work in Baltimore. They did a great job - they were great at communicating, scheduling and giving me a heads up when the rain forecast caused the work to be rescheduled. The work they did was excellent too - 5/5.

Dave and his team are absolutely top notch! We had stone steppers put in and landscaping done around a pool that was put in and left extremely rough grade. They transformed my back yard in 3 days. Dave does not cut corners and is honest about pricing and how to save you money which sadly isn’t always the case with some companies. The workers were on time everyday and worked so hard to get the job done within the timeframe given. They also left the job site cleaner than it was before they came. We are absolutely thrilled with The Outdoor Advantage and will be using them in the future! Thanks guys!!

Dave Ewell and his team at Outdoor Advantage do great work and are a true pleasure to work with. They'd done a very large project for us and a recent (2024) project--building a shed. Dave has great ideas, always shows up when he says he will, and has very skilled and talented craftsman working for him. They also show up and do beautiful work. We would definitely go back to Outdoor Advantage again.

Wonderful company! We reached out to remove the enormous boxwoods in our front flowerbed, replacing with a selection of perennials & small boxwoods. They also dug up all of the weeds around our rose of Sharon , adding bricks & mulch around the plant to create a nice look. Easy to get an estimate & timely execution of project work. Plus, their prices are very reasonable: you get what you pay for! Excellent team & cannot stress enough you should work with them for all home landscaping needs!

Dave came out to provide an estimate for our new home and was incredibly thorough and helpful in explaining what his recommendations were to address some water grading issues. Additionally, there was so much overgrowth that we really just had no idea what we had to work with. Among the projects we needed done were the removal of an old rusted fence and two dead trees, a general clean up of the way overgrown lawn, and regrading the area so it would be more functional.

They were done in a day, incredibly efficient, and when they finished, we were amazed at how much bigger (and better!) our property looked. We look forward to using them for future outdoor projects!

We had a positive experience working with Outdoor Advantage to power wash and seal our deck. Dave, the owner, provided a free estimate which did not require us to be present, resulting in less time off of work. We were scheduled within a week, and the work was completed the following week. The deck was cleaned w/ a power wash; Dave reassured us that no additional cleaning chemicals were needed. We chose a semi transparent color, that should protect the deck from water/sun damage for approximately 4 years. The crew of 5 guys, was hardworking, respectful, and professional. They completed the work from start to finish very quickly, and worked hard during one of the hottest days to date this summer. There was a bit of miscommunication about the schedule, which ultimately resulted in the project being completed earlier than originally anticipated; no complaints here! The finished product looks great, and the crew left us with the leftover sealent for touch ups in the future. Price was reasonable/ what was to be expected for the work. We would be happy to work with them again.
