For an expensive "deep clean" this was very disappointing. This is the type of cleaning service that wipes down your countertops and sprays a bunch of lemon fragrance but doesn't actually deep clean anything. 2/10 cleaning and they were also 2 hours late. I do not recommend and will not be using again.

I had Merry Maids come for one cleaning to my house. The cleaning was great until I came home and realized that they threw out boxes in my room, one of which that was open and had a 280 dollar dress inside. The maids threw out multiple boxes in my room, without checking that one had a dress inside that I was intending to return. Upon realizing this and calling the company, I spoke with a man who cut me off almost immediately as I was explaining my situation, told me that throwing boxes out was "not in the practice" of the company, and that I was mistaken. Incredibly rude. They told me there was nothing they could do for me and that there was no way they threw out my dress. Incredibly disrespectful. Will NOT be using this service again.

This company is legit! I walked into my house and was welcomed by such an amazing smell. The house was clean top to bottom, couldn’t believe it. They totally exceeded my expectations and I recommend them to anybody looking for a clean of any level. It was extremely affordable and the quality is unbeatable. Thank you so much!!

I just called for a quote on a 3 bed 3 bath townhouse in Hyde park. They told me although they are a boston based company that they would not service Hyde park or Jamaica Plain. How are you a boston based company that refuses to service parts of Boston???

10000% never using this service again

The cleaning itself wasn’t bad aside from breaking a few things over the course of a year (glass work awards) but the real issue I had was them charging my card extra without notifying me

I looked at my card and the last 3 cleanings they charged $50 extra on each cleaning without any notification.

Very sketchy for a company to just increase charges without telling the customers. I addressed it with the back office and was yelled at by someone on their team as if it was my fault.

Do NOT recommend unless you want to keep an eye on your charges weekly and dispute extra charges

Man was very rude on phone; confrontational; do not book; I had just called back because an unknown number had called several times and the man was so rude when I just said service wasn’t needed anymore. Rudely just saying “why did you call back then?!??”
Like dude…it’s a business…why are you in this industry if you can’t handle some phone calls…

There was no way of knowing it was a personal cell.
I was not the one that hung up.
I said not one rude thing. After I realized what the number was I politely indicated that I no longer needed the service and would have left it at that had it not been for the confrontation after.
And based on these other reviews, it seems you will not responsibility for your own tone or actions, based on the words about paying customers & potential ones

After being warned this would happen, it happened, some very unprofessional and disrespectful phone etiquette on the other side of the line. Existing, potential, canceling, and declining customers deserve the same positive attitude from customer service. The Angie's List reviews seemed good, so maybe this is just a situation of occasional "bad apple" behavior. Regardless, this poor behavior happened, and, honestly, it makes me sad to bear witness to it. Next time, I'd highly recommend whoever was on the other side of that call to layoff the terminal man-baby energy. It's just common sense.

This experience has been absurd. So the cleaners were 30 minutes late, and my plan was to leave while they were here so I made plans. They were 30 minutes late so I just called the office to see if they had any idea when they might arrive. The man who answered the phone completely lost it at me. He started yelling at me on the phone and screaming at me in my ear. Now, I’m sure he’ll completely deny this of course if he sees this and blame me just like he did in the phone when I called him out for doing this, but nothing I can do there.

And then after they came, I turned on my disposal and heard these horrible clanging noises and explosion. I checked the disposal and they knocked a metal measuring shot glass into the disposal. This completely destroyed my disposal. I know I wasn’t the one to knock it into the disposal, and I ALSO know this because I set up a camera and saw it happen afterwards. Genuinely baffled by this. Not sure how you don’t notice that happen in the moment.

The cleaning itself wasn’t even good. I still had several spots in my apartment that were dirty and I had to clean after. My apartment is tiny, it just isn’t much to clean or miss these many spots.

Horrible service, do NOT recommend in anyway. Can’t wait to see the person respond to this and somehow blame me like they seemed to in the other replies and like they did on the phone.

I'm so glad I looked at the review's first. This sounds like a nightmare.

And the response from them is that if we come in and as dirty than what we think it is we going to charge you more what kind of company is this?

DO NOT BOOK. Booked a 2bd 2ba apartment move-out cleaning, but they did not complete basic cleaning of multiple surfaces (photos are post "cleaning"). Upon notifying the manager of these issues, I was asked to pay for an additional cleaning, and then subsequently threatened for complaining. Not only poorly operated and managed, but rude, unprofessional, and terrible customer service. You will regret booking this service, go with literally any other cleaning service.

TRUST THE REVIEWS, $280 for 1 cleaner in a 2 bed/ 2 bath house, ridiculous. They ask you to rate how dirty your apartment is, then they arrive and tell you it's dirtier than they thought, and try to upcharge you, threatening to not be able to clean entire house given how dirty it is. They ask for no photos prior, give you no confirmation on when the cleaners will arrive, cost, and details on the cleaning. $

AVOID this service.

We paid almost $300 for a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom cleaning, and the results were terrible. The floors, kitchen surfaces, mirrors, radiators, and bathroom were left virtually untouched (see photos).

The issues started when the owner/manager called last minute to reschedule our original appointment. After the cleaning, we immediately reached out with calls, texts, and photos showing how poorly the job was done. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner made excuses and insisted on coming to the apartment to ‘inspect’ it. When he arrived, he became defensive and even somewhat aggressive with me. I was alone at the apartment with my boyfriend on FaceTime, and he had to step in because of how the owner was speaking to me.

We walked through the apartment and showed him multiple areas that were clearly not cleaned. In the bathroom, he even said that if we wanted the tubs cleaned properly, it would cost an extra $50—even though that should have been included in the original price. We agreed on a list of areas to be re-cleaned, but when I texted him afterward to confirm, he denied most of what we had just discussed and responded in a very unprofessional way.

The cleaners did come back, but only stayed for about 35 minutes and addressed just one item from the list.

Overall, this business was unprofessional, dishonest, and felt like a waste of time and money. The quality of cleaning was awful, the owner was rude and aggressive, and the entire experience was stressful and disappointing. Save your money and avoid this service.

They came on time and even called me ahead of time to notify me. Very Kind and great cleaning..:)

Driss was wonderful. He was prompt, polite, friendly and responsive. He did a fabulous job cleaning my carpets and furniture. He’s very kind and a hard worker. I highly recommend him and I will use him again in the future. Thank you Driss.

Carlos and Carolina did an amazing job. Moved into a dirty apt for school, they accommodated for next-day cleaning, and they made my apartment livable.

I was extremely impressed by the outstanding job the cleaner did. A walkthrough was done with the customer (me) before leaving to make sure the work was acceptable; very impressive!

Wow! I can’t recommend this company enough. They did such a thorough deep clean for us. They have an amazing attention to detail, and they are truly wonderful people. They’re so nice. I put in a lot of quotes and the reason went with them is because they responded to me within one minute. They did a fantastic job!

I booked a deep cleaning and the cleaners did a fabulous job in my one bedroom apartment. I definitely recommend Fenway Cleaning.

The team did an excellent job, arrived on time were thorough and responsive to my requests. Communication with the scheduler was also very good throughout. I will definitely use Fenway Cleaning Services again!
