I have used Matt Nicholls and his team at three properties and an upcoming fourth. They are reliable, skilled and professional. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I hired MJ Nichols to take care of my mother's home. They did an excellent job and maintained the beauty of her garden. I would highly recommend them.

I had several trees taken out and that company recommended MJ Nichollsvto get new trees planted. My only nitpicky issue was that it took a while to get the first response back. They apologized just saying they were extremely busy. From that point on it was all positive. Mike was great to deal with and quick to respond. The crew was great very friendly and polite and did a few extra things to help. Highly recommend these guys reasonable pricing as well.

I've had these folks do my spring clean up and an add on project every year for 10 years now. I've always been happy with the results of the cleanup and each project they've done (sprinklers, hardscaping) has been well communicated and turned out great. When winter starts coming to an end, I always reach out to them.

Matt has done jobs for us in the past. Everything his team has done has been great. This time around they replaced some pavers and it came out amazing. Very responsive and priced fairly.

We hired Matt a year ago to some minor landscaping work of moving trees and cleaning up the look. We were happy and hired them to do the mowing maintenance. The first season was great I was very impressed with the detail. This season everything was done in a rush and it looked it. I asked Matt to come and look at some dead grass and give me ideas of what I could do all he said was that they don’t fertilize. I then complained about the quality of the weekly maintenance. I got no response. The following week no one showed up to mow. I contacted the office to ask why and was told they canceled me and Matt had sent an email. I never got the email and asked for it to be resent and I never got a response. I guess lesson is not complain or ask for help or you will get terminated.

Matt and his team are extremely talented and professional. Their plantings, total landscape and patio design made our yard look fantastic. They're the best in the business. Highly recommend.

Matt and his team at MJ Nicholls were great to work with. They accounted for our budget and completed the work quickly and efficiently. They were very responsive with all follow-up calls after the work was completed. We would absolutely hire them again!

We’ve used Nicholls Landscaping for a lot over the last few years: hardscape, patio, French drains, re-sodding the lawn, fence installation, and Fall clean up. Always fast, professional service and reasonably priced. Great communication and everyone on the crew has been friendly.

My experiences with this company has been nothing short of incredible! I found Matt on Angie’s list (for those that remember that on line resource) back in 2000/2001 time frame. He personally showed up at my home in his single pick up truck and gave me an honest estimate of the work I asked to get completed.
I hired him and an outstanding job was done. 25+ years later he is my GO TO for any landscaping project or lawn maintenance or fencing or hardscaping or retaining wall (you get the idea) ! MJ Nicholls installed a new set of granite steps and walkway, and we couldn't be happier. Matt was super responsive during the sales process, and they ended up installing a week earlier than scheduled. The crew was professional, the work is excellent, and they actually left our yard in better shape than they found it. (When they were cleaning up, they used some leftover loam and grass seed to fix a nearby spot where I'd just had a tree stump removed.) We've gotten a ton of compliments (now we just need to re-side our house so it look as good as the walkway!). We will definitely hire MJ Nicholls again.

MJ Nicholls put in a paver patio, retaining wall and path for us and it came out absolutely beautiful. Matt is super responsive and accommodating and the crew that did the job was incredibly fast and hard working. We would absolutely hire them again for future work.

We used M J Nicholls for both the replacement of our front steps and a complete renovation of our backyard. Both of these projects (completed within a few weeks of each other) were done on time, quickly, and with professionalism. We couldn't be happier with the results of these projects. I will definitely be using them again in the future and would recommend anyone to do the same. You can't go wrong.

The reason for my one star review is more about professionalism and the crew being rude…
So they were working on my neighborhood on colonel ln in Weymouth and when they saw me I ask them politely to stop the blower so I could pass cuz I didn’t want to get dirty on my way to work…
They didn’t care , didn’t stop the blower and even worse pointed the blower at my face and I have dust allergy.
That’s not the type of company that I would recommend, especially when they don’t have any manners.

I recently had the pleasure of working with MJ Nicholls for a landscaping project at my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Nicholls Landscaping and their team installed two block retaining walls, and their work was nothing short of exceptional.

Have used Nicholls for the past few years to do yard clean ups, build a paver pad, mulch the yard, install French drains, sod, hydro seed, etc. They've been great all along the way! Highly recommended!

M J Nicholls has helped us on two projects so far and did a fantastic job on both. The first was a very intensive dry well installation. They came back twice to repair/update a few issues with the installation, per my request, but it has been working perfectly ever since. The installation process was smooth and the result had been a lifesaver to prevent flooding in our backyard, which would in turn back up into our basement. The cost in doing so was reasonable and well worth it in the long run. (Photos show what the yard looked like before and after. I've also included pictures of how bad the flooding was in the yard)

We also had them repair our damaged vinyl fence and the repair was done quickly, thoroughly, and seamlessly. (Before and after pictures included)

I am so pleased with the work they do and the knowledge and professionalism they bring to our home projects. Shout out to Mike for always being so friendly and a great communicator.

Edit: We have now also had MJ Nicholls put down mulch in our flower beds and on the perimeter of the yard and they did a beautiful job. The color and quality is really great and I'm so happy with how it brings everything together. (Pictures included of the mulch)

Matt, has been super responsive. We had a pretty big job, his crew was pleasant and flexible. We had changes and they were accommodating. Highly recommend Matt - honest and straight forward. Shows up when he says he will and does what he says he will.
