When Matt Nicholls was just starting he talked about his education in landscape design and his enthusiasm for creating awesome spaces. Over time MJ Nicholls has become THE go-to landscaping company in the area. It is such a delight to see the success he has become.
Matt himself is creative and practical, and the crew for our project was diligent, professional, considerate, clean, and communicated clearly.
We had major and transformative landscape done—walls, walkways, irrigation, new lawns—and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

We have hired Nicholls Landscaping several times to work on our property. In 2021, they helped us overhaul our backyard, removing the grass and putting in plant beds and a stone walk. Everyone was very professional, communicated well, and worked with us to make sure we were happy with the outcome. You can see from the photo that it came out great. The next year, they helped us replace our fence (not pictured). We were very happy with their work on this project too. We highly recommend them.

Used them for a lawn renovation last fall, excavating the back yard, bringing in new loam and grading then sod installation. Had several quotes and their price was competitive and they worked very efficiently to complete the work in just two days. Mike who oversaw the crew came back a few times to check in on how things were going following the install. Lawn looks great this year and am really enjoying it heading into the summer.

Matt and his crew are excellent! We did a large driveway/front yard project with them and it came out better than we planned. Plenty of great communication before and during the project. Highly recommended!

Great experience this summer. Designed some new garden space and cleaned up and mulched. Laid new cobblestone border too. Took our favorite plants into the plan and gave us plants that work with our care schedule. Designed so everything melded and looked great!

Fantastic fall and spring cleanups! Weekly service is great as well. Anytime there is something that needs attention all I need to do is ask and it gets done.
