Couldn't be any happier with Mauro and the team! Their communication and professionalism stands totally head and shoulders above others I've tried to work with! I've given them a variety of jobs at this point, and will continue to do so. They had to really fight to install 4 ecobee thermostats for me in a 100 year old apartment building with strange ceilings, but they were very very kind about it and got the job done! Can't recommend them enough!

Mauro and his crew did amazing work. This business owner prioritizes and employs family and is a genuinely polite, competent, reliable guy. He replaced a bunch of lights and added outlets to our home. Response was quick, estimate very fair and the guys could not have been more quiet and considerate. Mauro is an all around nice person. These guys really bailed me out! I watched a little too much TV and thought I could do some DIY electrical work.. big mistake. I knew I was in trouble as the sun was setting, because there was no way I was going to be able to turn the lights on. I took a group of switches apart before I labeled the wires, and realized after the mistake I had made. Cognati had the lights on by the time the old lady knew what I was up to. Can’t ask for more than that

Very reasonable and honest company. Puts their customers wants and needs 1st. 10/10 recommend to anyone that is looking for renovations. From replacing light fixtures all the way to additions / remodels. On top of that, communication from contractor to customer is fantastic. They let me know what was going on every step of the way and kept me updated. 0 complaints, all I have to say is great work, thank you and I would 100% recommend to any one!

Great experience overall. Very prompt, responsive, and professional. I only needed a small repair job but Matthew was very responsive and took care of it the next day and also took care of a few electrical issues that weren't up to code before he left.

I was extremely happy with Matthew Burt. I had a problem with an outlet shorting out in my basement. I did not know any electrician that I could use, so I took a chance with Matt. He responded same day by fitting me into his schedule. He was professional and courteous, his prices were fair, and he knows what he is doing. I really got lucky, and I am glad to recommend him to anyone. I will use him again in the future.

Couldn't be happier with my experience with Matt. I was hoping to have a ceiling light replaced in a pinch, and he was out to my house the same day. Unfortunately I purchased the wrong light because I do not have a switch in the room, and he was able to install a switch on the light, so that I could use the light I wanted without delay. He finished quickly, and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend Matt for any electrical needs!

I highly recommend Matthew for any of your electrical needs. He recently did a fairly large job at my home, including a service upgrade from 60 amps to 200 amps, running multiple circuits indoors and new ones outdoors, upgrading exterior lights, and replacing a ton of old, incorrect wiring left from the previous owner.

Matthew was honest, transparent, performs high quality work, has fantastic attention to detail, and (this is important to me) keeps his workplace spotless. He would explain everything being done, the reasoning behind it, and had the foresight to add some items I would have otherwise missed.

Overall he was a great guy to work with and I can see myself working with him again in the future!

I’ve known Matt for years from when our sons played little league together, and he previously did some electrical work for us at our old house that was excellent. After moving, we hadn’t needed an electrician in a while, but last week we had a scary situation where an outlet in our garage started smoking.

I reached out to Matt and he was able to fit us into his schedule on extremely short notice. He came over not knowing exactly what he was walking into and ended up spending the entire day working through multiple electrical issues that had come up from some previous work done in our garage over the summer.
