They were nice but I never heard from them without multiple calls from me asking to be contacted. The whole process was a comedy of errors.

The arborist went to the wrong address and then never even called with my estimate until I followed up a week later. I accepted their estimate, and then never heard from the scheduling department. When I finally did hear from them 3 weeks later (after gentle poking), they left a message scheduling my tree trimming on a day we had a barbecue scheduled. I called back immediately, and was promised the scheduler would call later that day. That was 5 weeks ago and that haven’t attempted to call me (and that’s after 2-3 calls from me every 10 days or so asking to be contacted).

They must just be really busy? Or maybe the scheduler keeps losing my number? I’m sympathetic but I can’t trust a business that’s this bad at communicating with me.

The Hartney Greymont team leveled a pad for a/c condensers and removed a couple of old yews. The team was on time, efficient, polite, and left everything neat and tidy. Took the time to walk me through the plan before starting work and showed me what they had done when they were finished. Thank you.

The best service provider I have used in years! Shane is amazing and always responsive. They do high quality work. Rich is great too.

I felt in good hands as they installed over 5,000 sqf of new grass sod and 4" of high end loam. The Kentucky Bluegrass looks great after watering it for 4 weeks.

Dealing with Bob Lee , of Carpenter Costin Tree service was a great experience.
His crew were professional and curitious . I had a very large white pine tree behind my house that had to be lifted over my house by crane. The crew worked in very windy cold conditions and never stopped other than one break. The crane operator was so impressive as well as the climber to cut the tree in sections. The grounds men worked so hard with crane to keep the branches hitting any objects , what a team. Good job by all. Carpenter is lucky to have a crew like you guys. Well Done.

Johnny and his crew, Jacob and Misael did excellent work today pruning shrubs as per spec. Knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Five stars

The first two times they were great. Did everything we asked. I was initially impressed. I even recommended them to our new neighbors. We hired them a third time. We needed trees removed and cut back because the house was being painted. A gentleman came and gave us an estimate, all fair , and a time, which must have been for the next decade, because they never showed up. Now, admittedly we had a wet summer, but after repeated phone inquiries with just an answer of “sorry” we gave up. Why did I write this review? Because we had to hire a competitor. And we weren’t even 1st time clients and had even referred them. Oh well, I guess they don’t need the jobs or referrals. Not the only game in town.

Carpenter Costin Tree Service is Superior!!
About a month ago, I had an 80 foot Linden tree, and a tall, listing Pine cut down The crew was outstanding; knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, professional and extremely tidy! They cleaned up all the debris like they were never even there! And as a bonus, they cut down 3 Evergreens that were in pretty bad shape!
I would highly recommend Carpenter Costin, so much so that we're going have them back next year for some landscaping work! If you need any type of tree service, or landscaping, don't hesitate to call on the best, Carpenter Costin!! 5 stars!!

100 percent excellent. Very capable and knowledgeable team. True arborists which is very important to me. Hard working and courteous at all times very polite and respectful. They cleaned up everything and were exceptional. I will definitely use them again.

My first time working with Carpenter Costin, and I am a former employee of two landscapers and I know what professional is. They exceeded my expectations, were finished in a timely manner, cleaned up the property and did the work that I specified. Very polite, did their utmost to not disturb the neighborhood as the houses are close together here. I am so happy and look forward to doing more work with them. Kudos to Bob Lees and the crew!

Very positive experience. Had several aborvitaes that were not looking too good…sparce and skinny. Hartley Greymont pruned, fertilized, and stabilized last summer and now they are looking great! Full and healthy! Josh was very knowledgeable and kind. He came out a couple of times to check on the trees and knew his stuff

Hiring Carpenter Costin for tree removal, shrub trimming, and stump griding was easy but getting on their schedule was a pain. I had to make frequent inquiries to get on the schedule to get my trees removed and shrubs trimmed. However, the stump grinding and replacement tree planting service was never performed. I got emails from Bonnie about putting it in for scheduling but nothing. No emails, no calls and no one showed. I’ll have to find another company to finish the job in the spring. Paul is a really nice guy and Hector was great. However, I didn’t find project scheduling and customer follow-up and satisfaction to be high priorities. I figured that great customer service would come with its high prices. However, I was wrong.

It is now the time for the Merriam-Webster dictionary to update the meaning of the word "Perfection". To that word Webster can now add a new synonym which best describes "perfection", and that term is Carpenter Costin. Their entire group of employees, and their work ethics, fall under that well deserved term. It all began with Paul who came to my house to access that work that would be needed to rectify a failing overgrown tree. His knowledge and explanation of what needed to be done was superior to another tree service company. Each member of their staff, from the Bonnie in the call center receptionists, on site supervisors, and the working team of trimmers, all provided the same level of service. It was noticeable that the guys, Luciano, Roman and Derek, worked well together as a solid team. The entire workmanship of this project was truly outstanding from beginning through to the end. And, after all that cutting and hauling away the tree limbs, my yard was in better shape and cleaner than when they began their work. It is a pleasure to add my recommendation to a long list of other satisfied people who had the good fortune of hiring Carpenter Costin.

The guys did a great job! Before they started, they went over everything that was on the work order and explained the process. They asked for my input as to how I wanted them shaped. They took great care in protecting my lawn and gardens.There were three in the crew and they were always busy, either on clean up or cutting. When they left, it was if they were never there. Leaves and cuttings and debris gone!!

They staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. They arrived on time and got to work right away. They trimmed a couple of large black walnut trees on the property and took down couple of trees as well. All of which in tight areas without any issues. They cleaned up everything as they went along. My property was actually cleaner than it was when they arrived. I highly recommend Hartney Greymont, and will definitive call them again if I need more tree work done. Can't recommend them enough!

Arborists aren't your typical tree cutters. They specialize in select cutting and trimming of ornamental trees and shrubs as well as regular tree work. From the cordial consultation and estimate to the actual work performed was highly professional with a very knowledgeable crew that was neat and clean and answered all our technical questions concerning the trim work. Would not hesitate to contract them for future work and they had very reasonable pricing for the work performed. Exceeded our expectations in all aspects of the job.

We had the Hartney Greymont crew out to remove some dead trees, remove the deadfall in others, do some pruning and cut down some stumps. They did an exceptional job, thoroughly cleaned up the yard and were great to work with. Thanks to Jacob, Walter and Mihail (?) and will definitely be in touch for any future projects.

Johnny O'Neal came out and inspected the trees we wanted pruned and then provided us with a timely quote. It was easy to schedule the work and two professional tree trimmers came out, Misael and Chloe. They were very considerate and cleaned up all the debris created from their work. We're going to have Johnny help us with choosing a new tree for another spot in our yard.

Very knowledgeable staff! Johnny O’Neal has been so helpful regarding native trees, shrubs and perennials in the forest we’re planting. I’m so glad to have become aware of this company. I highly recommend them.
