The entire crew did great work. Our heat broke on Saturday evening and we had someone onsite within 90 minutes. We ended up needing a whole new furnace. The whole team was great giving us our options and completing the install in a timely manner. Highly recommend the G&C team.

We’re big fans of G&C. We first engaged them in a panic when morning of a grad party we were hosting the powder room sink stopped working. They came out right away and as they pulled up I realized the water line just had a kink in it and there was no emergency after all. Their guys were great and we all laughed it off. We kept their cars handy and so last week when the water heater decided to die during the post-snowstorm travel ban we decided to call them instead of taking our chances with the slightly cheaper big box store option. They were awesome - again came out right away, were efficient, clear, and polite, laid out our options for us and once we chose our option completed the job promptly and professionally. We felt treated with respect throughout and have the peace of mind of a plumbing partner we can trust for years to come.

Called G&C on Saturday morning due to leak in our water heater. Anthony and Cole were at my home to diagnose and drain/shut off the hot water heater within the hour. Evan and Matt were at my house by 8 am on Monday and replaced the unit before noon. By 1 pm we had hot water and were good to go. All four servicemen were polite, courteous and easy to deal with. Could not recommend them any higher!

Used G&C for installing a new furnace in our home. From the process of receiving the quote to install day our experience was great. Nick who helped us through the pricing and quotes was amazing. He took the time to thoroughly explain the system and process, as well as answering additional questions that came up before install. In addition he did research and ensured we had the proper power venting for the new system. Everyone on the phone and in person was professional and pleasant to speak with. The crew that did the install was efficient and tidy, we are so happy with the new system.

My only hesitation is the cost. The price felt high to me, although I understand that when you go through a larger company there are overhead costs, that the technicians don’t control.

The plumbers were professional and pleasant to deal with. I just wish the pricing had been a little easier to swallow.

The quality of service was great. Bob, the tech in charge of replacing my gas valve on my furnace was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. 5 star rating for the service. 1 star for cost. $1,500 total to replace a leaking gas valve is incredibly high. Unfortunately, due to the coming snow storm I do not have the time to shop around for estimates as I need heat ASAP. So, service was great but I feel it was very overpriced.

Had an unfortunate experience with G+C.

Bought a house in July and had them come to service the two HVAC units for the first time in August. I asked them to service both the AC and furnace for both units. They serviced the basement unit but said the attic unit was too old and if they serviced it, it might break, so they wanted to replace "the whole thing."

We got a $13k quote for the attic unit and signed up for their service membership plan that included plumbing. Both were a bit on the expensive side but we figured that would indicate that they do a good job. Weeks later we had them come to replace the attic unit and indeed felt they did a good job.

A couple weeks later we had a plumbing issue and had to get the plumbing side of the company out not only to fix the major issues but also to do some planned plumbing work. They did a good job fixing the major issues but there were a couple instances where there was miscommunication that required them to come back and do a bit more work. One of the things they did was replace the shower piping in one of the bathrooms. In doing so, they left a decent hole in the wall and after speaking with a manager, I was told that this is expected and that plumbers aren't responsible for patching the walls back up. Picture attached.

October rolls around and it's time for them to do their membership planned service visit before the temp drops. We were expecting them to be here for under an hour based on all the work they've done recently. After close to 3 hours, they come down from the attic and explain that the furnace needs to be replaced and asked why we didn't do that when they replaced the AC...

I couldn't believe what they said. Turns out, when they first came in August, the technician completely ignored the furnace side of both units and only serviced the AC side. Then, when he said he wanted to replace "the whole thing," it turns out he really only meant the AC side. Major miscommunication here.

So, we get a quote for $11k to replace the furnace on top of the $13k we already took a loan out for thinking that was for the whole unit. I immediately called to talk with the owner, but could only reach the customer service manager because the owners were on a trip for a conference. The customer service manager did a good job working with me in their absence, but clearly this wasn't a big enough deal for the owners, as it took about 4 days for them to give me a call back.

The owner wanted to do right by me and offered as low of a price as possible to replace the furnace but his price was higher than quotes we got from other reputable companies that weren't offering a discount.

So, we took our business elsewhere and cancelled our membership.

I had a terrible experience with this company. They charged me a $99 service fee but failed to address the actual problem with a heater. Instead, they tried to claim we had a Carbon Monoxide (CO) leak to pressure us into a full system replacement costing $16k–$20k. They even threatened to shut our system down entirely, despite none of our and their detectors showing any leakage.

We called a different company for a second opinion. They fixed the issue for $400 total ($200 labor and $200 for a part). Most importantly, they confirmed there was no leak. This company ignored the repair and tried to use fear to sell me a system I didn't need. Stay away.
