I felt Garret was honest, to the point, and timely with all responses. I liked Garret from the beginning and my intuition was correct. I found Crown Mechanical through a referral. I was very happy with the service and product Garret provided. As a local realtor I will highly recommend Crown Mechanical for any HVAC work that may need to be installed, maintained, or needs inspection.

We just had Crown Mechanical install a Mitsubishi split-mini with three units. Very professional, great install, 10 points out of ten. Garrett is very skilled, timely and affordable.

The best experience we’ve had with a contractor. Garrett is knowledgeable, efficient, and gave us a price that was a lot lower than competitors. When you call, he answers the phone or gets back to you quickly. You can’t go wrong with Crown Mechanical!

Garrett and his company were called to assess an existing mini split system, and add on more units to cover areas not covered. His team was prompt, and professional. The existing system was found to have been installed improperly, and now is fixed. My house is now 100% cooled, and option for heat in the winter. Five stars!! I highly recommend!!

Garrett was great. He met with us and discussed the pros and cons of the ductless (minisplit) and ducted Air Conditioning systems. We went with the minisplits - better efficiency and less allergens (we have severe allergies in the family). They were installed when he said they would be and for the estimate he gave. The house was left clean at the end of each day and we could not be more pleased with Crown Mechanical.

I contracted with Garrett to install 5 LG mini splits. There were 2 condensers and 5 air handlers. Garrett did a great job! The job took a little longer than we expected due some tricky situations, but he navigated them skillfully and go t the job done in a professional manner. Garrett shows up on time and is a hard, knowledgeable contractor. Highly recommend!

After a not so positive experience with a large local company, I was referred to Crown Mechanical from others who spoke highly of Garrett. He installed a new central AC unit to replace an old unit that had stopped working. He was extremely professional and the communication was excellent. We were very happy with the experience and would highly recommend them.

Garrett was great to deal with! Their price was competitive but more important they showed up when they said they were coming and the work they performed was excellent! And they cleaned up when done - wouldn't have known they were here except our room is so cool. I love the new ductless system that replaced our wall unit - silent and keeps the room comfortable.

He took the time to make sure I understood what I was getting and streamline the process for mass save paperwork. Incredible job and I’m beyond excited to have a nice cool house! Garrett and Andrew from Crown Mechanical are amazing! They showed up on time, took care to understand where all of the wires were coming in and out of the furnace. Once they installed the new thermostat, again they made sure everything was working prior to leaving. They were efficient, knowledgeable and I highly recommend using them for any of your heating and cooling needs! Five stars!

Crown Mechanical was recommended from a friend who had used their services. We had a new air handler , 3 ton compressor / heat pump and a separate mini split set up installed and everything looks great. These new units are very quiet. We are looking forward to using these instead of the gas furnace and it’s nice to know the new fully charged a/c will keep us cool now. Great work from the crew , clean set up , friendly and then taking the time when it was all done to make sure we understood how it all works. I was looking to replace an old mini split and Garrett made the process pretty simple. This may not work for all jobs but I was able to send Garrett a series of 8-10 photos of my old system, which, was extremely convenient at the time. He assessed the system, provided recommendations and emailed a quote for a new Mitsubishi AC/heat pump at a very fair price. The crew showed up when they said they would (somewhat rare), disassembled the old system, installed the new system without damaging any of our interior property and cleaned up after themselves. These small details were important to me as I’ve had to fix damage from other contractors in the past. I would utilize Garrett/Crown Mechanical again for future projects and also as a resource to answer questions about our existing systems.

Garrett and his team worked quickly and cleanly getting the job wrapped up a day ahead of schedule. They cleaned as they went and were very respectful. The price was significantly better than two other quotes I received and there was no high pressure up selling. Had one small repair needed and it was fixed within two hours of me calling. 100% recommend Crown Mechanical for AC install and maintenance.

I can't say enough great things about Garrett and Andrew, as well as the electrician, Doug, that they work with. These guys blow the competition out of the water.

First and foremost, they are true professionals and experts in the field. They identified things and answered questions that many "techs" from big name HVAC companies in the Boston area could not. We were dealing with a mini-split disaster left behind by one of these big name companies in our historic 3 floor condo building. Crown Mechanical worked to swap out improper wires within old walls/basement with new comms wires, run them to the condenser, check refrigerant lines, remount mini-split heads, and more. In the dead of winter they got our units working again so we can have heat.

Second, they are a truly honest, trustworthy, and friendly team that will give you your options, lay out pricing, and talk about what they recommend. Garrett will always be open to a chat to talk about the situation and the progress they are making. Their pricing is extremely fair and reasonable. As a bonus, if you have pets, they are extremely mindful of their presence as well as they come in and out of the house.

We are going to have them come back later in the spring and work on the units of our neighbors. Highly recommend them, you won't regret it.

Garrett & team from Crown Mechanical provided excellent service installing a mini split system. Garrett went above and beyond at every step in the process from responding to my many questions promptly, and completely, to helping us with moving things out of the attic. Garrett pays particular attention to aesthetics and the job reflects this. The installation was started and completed when scheduled . I highly recommend Crown Mechanical.

I am always a bit skeptical when all reviews are 5*, and I can’t speak for other reviews, but the work on my project was certainly 5*. It does not surprise me now that the others could be as well.

Garrett installed 2 mini-splits and a heat pump at my house. In the process I got quotes from other Mitsubishi Diamond providers as well and all were substantially more than Garrett’s. Not only was the pricing not favorable, but there were also claims of service contracts needed to maintain a valid warranty, and a requirement to install a new AC outlet near the outdoor heat pump (supposedly electrical code requirements for maintenance), and both were not true.

Conversely, Garrett was honest, skilled, fair in his pricing, and ready to support if needed. I have been involved in electronics and mechanical systems for many years, and during the system install it was clear that Garrett is skilled and efficient in his work. Also, I ran into a situation where after the install I did not think the system was operating correctly. I reached out to Garrett, and he responded right away. We worked through email and phone, and it still did not seem right, and Garrett came to the house. It was an operational error on my part, but Garrett supported through getting to the bottom of the issue and followed up after.

I would look no further in getting this work done. Garrett runs a small low-overhead operation with fair pricing. He is skilled, knowledgeable, and willing to support when needed.

Garrett installed brand new three zone mitsubishis in our second floor condo in Salem, replacing old mini splits improperly installed by a "big name" local contractor. Our building is not easy to work with as it's very old bones with a gut in 2020. Garrett did a phenomenal job on the installation. He configured things the way they need to be, undoing the mess created by the "big name" company. He showed us what right looks like and walked us through the process each step of the way. Now we have excellent brand new mitsubishis that cool and heat effectively. He is also competitive with his pricing and provides very fair rates. Garrett and Crown Mechanical installed my Mitsubishi splits two years ago and from installation to answering questions to diagnosing issues in these hot muggy days, they have been amazingly responsive, helpful, and thorough. When this crazy heat or even a problem in my house causes a malfunction, Garrett answers my calls and finds a way to work us into his busy schedule—devising solutions even when it’s not the equipment Crown installed causing the problem.
