I always use Burke & Sons! They are so responsive and I was in a bind today and they were able to come today! They are always pleasant, neat and always do a great job! I highly recommend them!

10/10 customer service and responsiveness! I called at 8am and my issue was resolved by noon! Quick efficient service, did not try to upsell me on a replacement of my old boiler, just repaired what was broken, great! Techs were very polite and knowledgeable. I've used them several times and have been very happy with their service. They answer the phone and cost is in line with other plumbing services. Technicians are polite and very professional. Recently I needed to coordinate a gas range installation with delivery. They were very accommodating and sent a tech over on short notice.

Recently my home furnace stopped blowing hot air. As I always try to use local businesses, I decided to call Burke & Sons to help me with the problem. I set up a time on a Monday and 2 technicians came over to my house to do the diagnostic. They spent almost an hour trying to find the problem and were not sure what it was. They called a "smart" guy in the office and they were told by him that the problem with the unit was the control board that needed to be replaced ($125 the visit). They sent me an estimate for the replacement of the board ($750) and I approved. They ordered the part and came back on the following Monday. Jim (the owner) came to do the replacement and I let him do the work. After he finished, he said that the board did not need to be replaced and he had replaced some other parts and that should work for a while but told me that the whole furnace needed to be replaced as it is 20 years old and had reached the limit of usage and charged me $291 for the visit. 3 hours later, the furnace stopped blowing hot air again and I called them but they were closed. The next day I called the office and told them what had happened and they set up a time to come back and "fix" the problem the next day (Wednesday). The next day I left the door of the house unlocked for the technician and went to work. The technician came, replaced more parts and left. I got home from work, the unit was working and they sent me another bill for $815. 2 days later, on Friday, I got home from work and the house was cold and the furnace was blowing cold air. The next day I called the office and they were closed but I used the "emergency line" and spoke with a technician and he offered to come and take a look. He worked on the unit and got it to work but again informed me that the unit needed to be replaced as it had reached its life limit. He said he'd talk to the owner and send me an estimate to replace the unit. Later that day the furnace stopped working again.
I then decided to call another HVAC company and have them check what the problem was. A very knowledgeable technician came and checked the unit and said that the problem was the control board that needed to be replaced and the gas valve. I authorized him to order the 2 parts and 2 days later he came back and installed both parts. The furnace has been working perfectly since and it's been at this moment I'm writing this review 2 weeks. The technician from the second company told me the same thing about the replacement of the unit at some point in the future and I asked him to give me an idea of price for future reference.
I received the estimate from Burke & Sons for the replacement of my furnace: $9,315.00 - $1,106.00 (previous 2 visits and parts replaced) = $8,209.00. Estimate from the company that fixed the problem $6,500.00.
As a conclusion, it may have been an isolated case that caused me some aggravation and 3 weeks without heat in my house with freezing temperatures outside. Unfortunately, "I" would not recommend Burke & Sons to anyone I know... and will never use them again.

Our 200 year old home has many challenges with plumbing, heating and cooling. Burke and Sons were able to handle it all. From removal of old heat, oil and hot water units to the install of a fantastic new heating and cooling system top to bottom. We couldn’t be happier with their work.

Our water heater broke during the worst time possible when it's been sub zero temps!!! Excellent and such prompt service on such short notice! The contractors were quick, helpful and did an amazing job installing our new heater! Would highly recommend Burke & Sons to anyone!

Burke and sons were fantastic. They were on time and did a great job.

I called Burke & Sons for an estimate to install central air. Jim explained everything to me and also detected a small gas leak while he was here. He had his crew come back a couple hours later to fix the leak. The price was very reasonable and Jim and crew were very professional. Great experience!

I can’t recommend Burke and Sons to enough people. Not only were they very prompt and professional when my wife and I were in need of a LARGE drainage line retrofit, see new drains installed in photo below, but even when we just needed a furnace check and cleaning we received the same professionalism and promptness. When the owner came by to quote the larger drainage job, not only did he offer suggestions on additional work that we have since benefited from but the estimate came in under our budget and his team was able to complete the entire job in 1 day (save for the washing machine drain) but he explained that could be a problem before hand. All work was completed beautifully and exactly as we agreed to. Even when they came across some unforeseen issues…needing to run a few extra vent lines to the roof, they made sure to tuck the lines into the corner of linen closet and made very small cutouts to the pre-existing shelves.

I WOULD highly suggest working with Burke and sons for any HVAC/plumbing project you have, big or small, I know I will keep using them!!
