I needed some last minute work done and called D Reed Electric. He came by on a Thursday afternoon and said he could re-arrange his schedule and do the work Friday morning. He showed up right on time for both the first appointment and to do the work. I recommend this company.

I had a small job that needed doing -- just switching out a light fixture and swapping a conventional switch to a dimmer. I found Dan Reed online and was immediately impressed by his website which was not only professional looking, but also included straightforward pricing for specific types of jobs. No surprises! I left my job parameters on his site and he called back quickly, sent an estimate which I signed online, and then called to schedule the job. He was on time, quick, knowledgeable and professional. Oh, and my dog loved him. Would call again for sure!

Dan and his team are the ultimate professionals. We had absolutely no clue what we were doing walking into our project to remove extensive knob & tube wiring and install recessed lighting in our antique home. Dan walked us through the project with the knowledge of a seasoned veteran and showed an incredible amount of patience and understanding as we asked him simple question after simple question. He completed the work in the blink of an eye and was so pleasant to have in our home throughout, it is an absolute no-brainer to hire him for all of your electrical needs!

I can't say enough good things about Dan, he was a pleasure to work with! I called him after having been ghosted by another electrician. He responded to my message within 10 minutes! We spoke later that day about the different things I was looking to have done. We set a date for the next week, and he completed everything in one day; replaced foyer fixture, ceiling fan, installed outlet behind tv over fireplace, installed electrical fixtures and dimmers for pendant lighting over island and for chandelier over dining table, installed and replaced light fixture over kitchen sink. He ran into issues with almost everything he had to do. However, was always positive and creative with ways to make it work! Never showed any kind of frustration or annoyance. And even with the added work due to these issues, he still kept to the quote he gave me, just and honest and decent guy! He was professional, friendly, responsive, trustworthy, reliable, timely, took great care with cleaning up! I am so glad I read the reviews he had on his website. If you need an electrician, call Dan!!! You won't be sorry! I would highly recommend him, and will definitely use him in the future!

We can’t recommend Dan enough. He was very responsive to our request, and quickly scheduled a time to come out to our house. His website includes his standard pricing for most residential work, so you know what to expect for pricing, and his prices are very fair. He spent extra time with us answering unrelated electrical questions and did a fantastic job. He’ll absolutely be our go-to electrician going forward.

I called about repairing an outlet that had a burning smell and was warm to the touch. Daniel Reed was incredibly responsive and was clear about what information he needed to get the work done. I was provided with a reasonable quote upfront and we did a docusign in about an hour. He said he would be coming tomorrow around mid day and arrived by 11 am. He opened up the outlet and discovered the wiring in the back was burned. Dan was very knowledgeable as he explained to us some related outlet and electrical issues going forward. He rewired as much as he could and everything was in working order within 30 minutes. Very professional and time efficient service.

At a time when electricians are in high demand (and often not responsive), Dan called back, came to assess our various needs, and sent a detailed estimate in less than 24 hours. He was beyond professional, extremely knowledgeable, very communicative, and reasonably priced. His friendly demeanor made him an absolute pleasure to work with. We hired a local electrician, who unfortunately overcharged and under-delivered over a year. We still had quite a few projects on our list. We then hired Dan at D.Reed Electric, Inc. and he renewed our faith in hiring contractors. He does a great job: he's knowledgeable, efficient, reliable, very neat, and he explains what needs to be done. He provided a written project report in the end. We retained him for his yearly inspection plan, and we will hire him again for future projects.

I needed to install 8 recessed lights in my living room and to also switch out the old light switches for a more updated look. Dan and his team did a fantastic job not only with the installs itself, but they also went above and beyond by helping to patch up the holes on the wall from the wiring and made sure to clean up/sweep any messes/dust periodically.

Dan was also very patient and accommodating even when he had to make an extra run to home depot to pick up additional hole saws since my ceiling is made of plaster which made it tougher to drill the holes. He didn't even charge me for any of these additional inconveniences and the final quote actually came out under than the original estimate since there were some items he didn't end up using and gave me a credit back for.

I will definitely be calling Dan up again if I ever need additional work done and if you're looking for an honest, reliable, and hard-working electrician, you won't regret working with Dan.

Dan was great to work with from our initial conversations through the completion of our project. He is honest, knowledgeable, and stands by his work. He was very tidy inside the house and goes the extra mile without being asked. We highly recommend Dan and will absolutely use him again.

We had a great experience with Dan. He installed recessed lighting in our new house and he was professional, neat and courteous, punctual to the minute and communicative. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything to you. We were so pleased with his work, we had him come back to replace all of our switches (including dimmers, smart switches/dimmers and complicated three and four ways) and outlets. We had almost 200 outlets and switches combined and he completed everything for us in a timely manner, even working 12 hour days to accomplish this. We have already referred him to others and will be bringing him back for some garage upgrades! 100% we would recommend Dan.

I reached out to Dan to initially get a suggestion on the upgrade of the electrical panel. He was quick to respond on a weekend to discuss further. He visited during the week to further assess what other items i needed with outdoor light installations. His suggestions were honest and did provide a good perspective on how to go about the project. Upon scheduling the electrical upgrade, him and his team were prompt arriving on the day scheduled, at the time agreed upon. They finished the upgrade in the stipulated time. The next project i had was outdoor light installations. Dan was able to accommodate within a week's time and efficiently wrapped up that project within a few hours. We are glad we reached out to Dan and do recommend him to prospective clients.

Reached out to D. Reed Electric to inquire on installing new recessed lighting in our 1930s-era home. Dan returned my voicemail within 15 minutes and explained his pricing upfront. He was able to do a preliminary walk-through the same day and was able to do full install 3 days later. Dan is very knowledgeable and I appreciate his willingness to explain the process in depth.
