Contractor reviews in Hudson, Massachusetts

Our family recently purchased a 1900 built multi-family in central Mass. Due to some neglect on the part of the former owner, the two story porch in the front of the house had fallen into disrepair. We searched online and found AK General Services. Andre and the team built us a beautiful, sturdy, natural wood structure that provides everything we could ask. The team was punctual, courteous, efficient, highly skilled, and completed the project on time and at a very fair price. Thanks Andre! We will enjoy these porches for years to come.

Andre and team were amazing and we highly recommend them. They built us a beautiful 23x10 PT deck. We really appreciated Andre's punctuality, attention to detail, honesty and fair project estimates. We would definitely want to work with him and his team again in the future.

Updates:
It was once again a pleasure to work with Andre and his team on a second project where they did a porch demo and rebuild for us. They again completed the job on time, on budget, working outside in cold December & January weather. Andre communicated throughout the job, always letting us know when they were coming and what they were doing. They left the yard in tidy shape as well. The deck looks great! Very happy with the results.
Original review:
It was a pleasure working with AK General Services who refurbished our side deck. Andre was responsive and reliable. He quickly came out to look at our needs and provided a detailed estimate. The crew started and finished the job as scheduled as well. We’re very happy with the results and will use them again!

We hired AK General Services to finish our basement room. They completed everything in a timely manner and were very good about communicating and ensuring that we got what we wanted, including installing new electrical outlets and recessed lighting. We had a great overall experience with them and Andre was very nice to work with. We would highly recommend hiring them for work and will be happy to use them again in the future for any other projects that we might have.

We recently had a large free standing deck built by AK General Services. We can’t say enough good things about the job that Andre and his team did. They worked with us to turn our idea into a workable design, provided an accurate estimate and laid out a detailed timeline for project completion that they stuck to. Along the way Andre explained each step of the process, incorporated our feedback and the team took great care of our backyard cleaning up the work site each day before leaving. In the end, AK General Services delivered the exact deck we were looking for on time and on budget and we couldn’t be happier.

AK General Services came highly recommended to me by a colleague and they delivered!. Andre and his crew arrived on time ready to work. They respected my property and my neighbors' property as they painted my house quickly and efficiently. It looks beautiful! I am happy with the price and the results. I'd definitely use them for house painting and other general contracting jobs. Andre came to my house after the job was completed to review the work done. He asked for feedback and encouraged me to reach out with any questions or needs. I appreciated this service all before I handed him final payment.

Andre and his crew built a deck around my hot tub. We needed multiple access points to get below the deck and it appears as if they aren't there. Andre was very easy to work with and was in constant communication throughout the whole process. I would use him again and recommend him.

Andre’s crew did an outstanding job replacing my old wood deck with Trex decking.

Andre was very pleasant to work with. His communication was excellent, keeping me informed of scheduling. He clearly explained issues that were discovered in the process of tearing down the old deck. The crew was polite, showed up on time working long hours to complete the job quickly, efficient and did a great job cleaning up after, leaving the job site impeccable.

Andre’s pricing was also very reasonable and competitive.

I highly recommend AK General Services for your projects!

After interviewing various home contractors, we hired AK General Services to turn our porch into a four season room and extend it. We are so happy with the work that was performed. We were kept in constant communication about timeframes and next steps. Everything was on time, on cost, and the work was impeccable.

Andre and his team did an amazing job on our new deck! Andre was easy to work with through the entire process, always responded to texts/calls, and offered competitive pricing. Our new deck is now double the size of our old one and made of trex material. We also decided to add lattice around the bottom of the deck to hide the foundation. The deck was completed quickly and the team was very detail oriented as all the cuts/finishes are well done and consistent. We couldn’t be happier!

We had designed a fairly large, custom deck with partial roof covering for what will become an outdoor kitchen. AK General Services took the plan and ran with it. On time, on budget and a beautiful job delivered to us. Well done!

Not sure about their business. But a serious problem with road rage for sure.

Renovated kitchen and bath and it looks beautiful. Great price. They even did some outside trim for me. very satisfied.

I would highly recommend Sleek Renovation - Chris and his crew. The work is impeccable, to perfection and beautiful. It may take a little longer then some other contractors, but it is well worth the wait. Chris and crew - are all very nice and helpful.

Major renovations by the team turned a nice house into an awesome home. Our Real Estate agent describes the work as architectural grade. I agree. Top quality work all the way.

I recently had my kitchen renovated by Sleek Renovations, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The transformation is stunning, and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. The team was friendly, professional, and meticulous in every detail. They communicated clearly throughout the process, treated my home with care, and delivered workmanship that truly impressed me.

If you’re looking for a company that values quality and genuine customer satisfaction, I highly recommend them. I would gladly work with them again.

A heartfelt thank you to Chris, Brian, Steve, and the entire team for bringing my vision to life. Your skill, patience, and dedication made all the difference. My new kitchen is everything I hoped for and more. Thank you for helping me make my beach-kitchen dream come true! I’m incredibly grateful for all your hard work and creativity.
