Reviews of local pros in Kingston, Massachusetts

Be careful. They do great work and of good quality, but the responsiveness, especially after the sale, is very poor. Our first project with them (pool patio, landscape, etc.) began in the Fall of 2017. While it was completed very late, they did a quality job, so we initiated a second project to redo the lighting around the pool in the Spring of this year. Here we are at the end of the Summer, and still no working lights around the pool. We went with a higher cost more reputable firm to avoid these issues.

I can't say enough about Matt and the entire crew at Duxbury Gardeners. They do everything from weekly lawn maintenance to landscape design to Spring and Fall Clean ups. Our yard is complex and they handle it with diligence and pride. They show up on time every week . We have used them consistently for over four years . I Highly recommend Duxbury Gardeners.

Matt and his team at The Gardeners are fantastic. From hardscape to routine maintenance and everything in between, they are 10/10. I’d highly recommend Matt and his team for your landscaping needs!

LOVE Duxbury Gardeners! They have been taking care of us since we moved into our house over 5 years ago. On top of taking care of all of our landscaping and lawn, they put in an incredible stone stair case and fire pit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Matt and his group has transformed my property into a paradise. From hardscape design, construction and planting layout to overall general maintenance and care services, they are amazing with the vast amount of talent they had. I highly recommend for whatever size project you might be considering.

This business has high expectations for the end result. Every person who worked to weed, edge and mulch were invested in making the yard look excellent and do a high quality job. They are busy but worth the wait!

Matt and his team at Duxbury Gardeners are top notch to say the least! I would recommend DG for any job, small or large. They are professional, responsive and thorough. I couldn't be happier with the work Duxbury Gardeners have done at my restaurant, Bluefish River Tavern!!

Matt was great, during a time when you were lucky to get any contractors to call you back he replied immediately to my voicemail and he took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, performed the work on time and came back immediately when I needed some of the landscape lighting tweaked. Two of my neighbors used him after seeing the landscape design he did on our house. Would definitely recommend him and will use him again.

We used The Garderners for our most recent spring clean-up and, as always, their quality of work is top-notch. We worked directly with Andrew Powers, who was on top of things from the start. He came to us early and was flexible in establishing a contract that included both spring and fall clean-ups. He also made sure that everything was spelled out and easy to understand. They were also on schedule and left a pristine work site with all areas complete and ready for the season.

We are very happy with The Gardeners!! Matt did an amazing job completely landscaping, our new home. We were very concerned about the conditions of our environment. We live on the marsh and are constantly exposed to high winds and salt. We wanted something that would look nice, be low maintenance and could withstand the elements. Matt gave us fantastic ideas! Best if all it is going to be a yard that will be maintenance free and look amazing year after year. You will be very happy with this company. They are so easy to work with, have great ideas and intall everything on a timely basis. Thanks for making our new home look beautiful!

I've used Matt D & The Gardeners for over 3 years now. They've done a fantastic job with the upkeep of our yard and plantings. They also installed a beautiful patio for us. Would recommend to anyone 10 outta 10 times.

I recently had the pleasure of working with The Duxbury Gardeners for a landscaping and design project at my property. From the initial consultation to the completion of the project, their team exemplified professionalism and expertise. Not only was their work delivered on time, but the quality exceeded my expectations. The pricing was transparent and highly competitive, providing great value for the exceptional service received. I recommend their services to anyone looking for top-notch landscaping and design solutions.

We have used The Gardeners for years and have been pleased with the work. Matt (the owner) is very responsive when we have issues, including replanting a couple of bushes at no charge when they did not take to our yard. His crew is reliable and professional with the regular lawn care services along with the annual spring and fall work.

Can't say enough about Matt and his team. Our back yard/space was a complete mess from the day we moved in. Every proposed solution was completely unrealistic....then The Gardeners came. Matt offered the most realistic, efficient and impactful solution right from the start. The Gardeners team showed up and finished on-time and on budget! They were clean, careful and great to work with....TRUE professionals.

I have used Matt Desmarais and The Gardeners for my landscaping since I bought this house 11 years ago. I have always had an excellent experience with Matt and his crews. It is a very professional organization with a well organized office staff and work crews who know what they are doing. My neighbors often comment on how great my yard looks . I recommend Matt and his team without reservation. I can't say enough good things about my experience.

Used the Gardners for designing and implementing multiple new planting areas on our property. Matt was great to work with, excellent suggestions and very responsive during all phases of the project.

We first hired The Gardeners for a patio project in our backyard. Matt listened to our vision and provided insightful suggestions that enhanced our initial ideas. The result was a beautifully designed and expertly crafted patio that has become our favorite spot to relax and entertain.

Impressed by their work on the patio, we decided to hire them again for a front yard project, which involved the removal of some old, overgrown shrubs and the installation of a wall of arborvitae trees. The transformation is incredible! The new arborvitae wall not only adds privacy but also a touch of elegance to our home’s exterior.

Matt's dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of his work. He communicated clearly throughout the process, ensuring that everything was completed to our satisfaction. The Gardeners have truly exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend them for any landscaping needs. Thank you, Matt and team, for making our outdoor spaces beautiful!

We are so happy with our large planting project. Matt had excellent ideas for improving our space, and he was open to incorporating ideas that we had. Matt and his team are professional, kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They were patient with me when I changed my mind a couple of times on the placement of a new tree. Everything came out beautifully! Matt is very efficient with communication and wants his clients to be happy. Highly recommend The Gardeners!

I have had excellent service and care on my properties.

The whole group takes great pride in what they do, and work hard to create a wonderful project from start to finish.

Matt, Andrew, and Jason have done great work recreating my space, we greatly appreciate their insight and knowledge.

The Gardeners designed a new layout for our existing yard and we are thrilled with the outcome. Matt came out initially put together a design for our existing tired landscape and we couldn't be more happy our new yard! The crew was extremely meticulous and professional. It was very obvious they take a tremendous amount of pride in their work.
We would recommend The Gardeners for any outside project but especially design and execution of a new landscape. Our yard looks incredible.

We used the Gardners for landscaping and stonework for our new pool area. Kyle was always on top of everything and they worked very closely with the other contractors so things went pretty smooth. Jason was really helpful in choosing and laying out the plants and the crew did a great job with the plantings. They are attentive to detail, reliable and always quick to address things when issues came up. They really care that things are done right.

We also used hem for our spring cleanup this year and Andrew has been great to work with as well. The crew did a nice job pruning, cleaning up, edging, and mulching. Overall, the yard looks great and we’re happy with how everything has turned out and would recommend them.
