We've lived on a big hill in Clinton with a long driveway for 25 years. This year J&B came out and quoted us a great price for plowing (and sanding any time we ask). FINALLY we have a truly professional plowing service! Brian emails his clients before, and even during and after storms. He can always be reached by phone. They have super good equipment and do a thorough job. We love them.

Brian is a stand-up guy and their actual process to get work going is seamless. Time will tell how well everything turns out but the initiation of the process is great.

I am very pleased to offer my recommendation for J&B Grounds Landscaping. The owner took time to inquire what I was looking to have accomplishshed.I asked him to clean up the front rock wall where many plants had become overgrown with various plants and weeds. I also needed 4 once beautiful blue hydrangea plants to be trimmed for next spring. It was done exactly as I requested! The weeds in other gardens were completely removed and the team recommended that I switch to Hemlock mulch next year. The last monumental task was to remove the weeds and dying plants from inside the pool area. Anyone who worked on this project was here and working at 7:30 am and were always highly respectful! I will continue to use this company as long as we own this home!!!

Brian and crew have done a fantastic job of caring for my mother's lawn. Of all the landscapers she has hired over the years, J&B has been the best. They are very professional, respond quickly to inquiries, and their services are fairly priced. Most importantly, the quality of work is top notch. I highly recommend J&B Grounds!

We used J&B Grounds for a big update on our yard, and we are very happy with the results. The work included fall cleanup, blasting old sand from and applying new polymeric sand to our patio pavers, removing old bushes, and a ton of deferred maintenance. Let me tell you - our yard has not looked this good in years.

Eddie and Felipe were absolute class acts while working in our yard for over a week to get everything done. They were professional, friendly, and highly competent. All three are rare traits in landscape workers these days.

We plan to continue using J&B Grounds for our seasonal cleanups and yard maintenance.

I usually do fall cleanup myself but was not able to this year. I'm glad I gave J&B Grounds a call. The yard looks great. Not a single leaf was left in the grass or flower beds. I could not have done a better job myself. They showed up on time and finished the job quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend J&B for your fall cleanup needs.

Very smooth transaction starting when I called to set up an appointment to have someone come out to my house and clean up my yard. The person I spoke to on the phone was very pleasant and scheduled an appointment right away. The owner came out to my house to take a look at the yard to see what needed to be done. He was very professional, prompt, and easy to talk with. The yard work was completed shortly after and everything looked great! I would definitely recommend this company to any of my friends and family.

I called J&B on a Monday inquiring about spring clean up and Brian came out the same day to explain what the team will do during the clean up. The next morning, a team was here and did a fantastic job!
We are also going to have some mulching done along with weekly mowing. Very happy with their service and would highly recommend them!

I requested quotes for landscaping projects on April 15th, hoping to establish a relationship with a local company since we are new to the Lancaster area. The request was quickly acknowledged, and an appointment was scheduled. Brian came out to our property, took measurements, and promised quotes within 15-20 minutes. We reviewed the quotes in detail with him and accepted the Spring Cleanup, as it was only available for another week. We received confirmation for the scheduled work.

Brian was knowledgeable and personable, but the issues began on the day the work was supposed to be done. They never showed up. I took the day off work to manage our dogs, who would be agitated with strangers in the yard. On Monday, I received a call with dead air, followed by a text confirming the Tuesday appointment. Assuming the call was a confirmation, I waited, but no one arrived. I thought they might come on Wednesday, but still, no work was done when I got home from work.

When I contacted them, they claimed the crew did a drive-by and determined the work was already done. They said they tried reaching me on Monday, but I answered the call and received a confirmation text. Their excuse about phone issues is laughable, as my phone works perfectly. They said the second call went to voicemail, but no voicemail was left explaining the cancellation.

We had a mulching job lined up based on the Spring Cleanup. There were no weather issues; the company simply decided not to do the work without notifying us. Despite taking a deposit, they refused to refund it, citing company policy not stated on the receipt or quote, so they are basically stealing over $200 from us. They claim to be reliable and trustworthy, but our experience was the opposite. They offered to reschedule, but we had other work lined up based on their original schedule, making the remainging work that needs to be done, not worth the quoted amount.

UPDATE (May 9, 2025): It's been a week since they said they wanted to resolve this issue via text messages, but I haven't heard anything back from them. Trying to resolve a business matter over text isn't ideal. If they truly meant to complete the work we got quotes for, they should have called me to discuss it in person. Instead, they have gone quiet, hoping the issue will go away.

They have not refunded the deposit, and as you can see in the attached text screenshots, they claim it is company policy. However, the receipt and the quote I received do not mention this policy anywhere. If they keep the deposit, I hope they donate it to charity rather than keeping it for themselves.

The attached texts also state that they contacted me twice to cancel my scheduled work. However, the screenshots show only one call on a Monday at 10:11 AM by an AI bot, which seemed to be calling to confirm my appointment. When I answered, there was no one there, and I received a text at 10:12 AM confirming my appointment. If this was a call to cancel my appointment, why did I receive a confirmation text? They claim to have called me twice but only provided a screenshot of an AI bot call, which makes no sense.

I had to file a complaint with my bank about the deposit, so we'll see what happens. They admitted we had a poor experience with them but have done nothing to rectify it. The attached texts show that the only way I will get my money back is if I delete my review, which sounds like a bribe or blackmail to me. Maybe that's why the only reviews still up are all five stars. They never stated who I was texting with, so I can only assume it was the Office Manager, Ioana.

Great communication and service from start to finish. Showed up as scheduled, completed all work as expected. Would hire again.

I recently had my landscaping done by J&B Landscape and I couldn't be happier with the results. One of the standout features of the design is the use of arborvitae. These trees not only provide privacy and a natural barrier, but they also add a beautiful touch of greenery to the space.

I have to give J&B a special shout-out for an outstanding snow removal during this last storm that ended with a layer of ice on top of everything. The crews were here very early and very late.
