Whole neighborhood lost power. Once it was up again, we noticed ours hadn’t come back on yet. Utility company came out and confirmed power was good to the house but the main was bad. It’s late November, pretty cold out, and late in the day, so getting dark.

Searched for a *local* electrician with great reviews and decided to give Frank a call. Frank answered right away and helped diagnose the issue over the phone. I txt’d him a picture of the breaker and he happened to have the right part on the truck, so he stopped by within minutes! He was on his way out to Cambridge for the evening but made the extra effort to stop and quickly help us out when he just as easily could have told me he was busy and to find someone else. Those other 5 star reviewers were spot on. Great guy, great work, great responsiveness. I’d give more stars if I could. Any future electrical work I need - Frank 100% earned all my business and will be my go-to referral.

We have used many electricians over 30+ yrs of home ownership, and Frank ranks high in his responsiveness, availability and expertise. He quickly set to work diagnosing and fixing 5 smallish electrical problems. His fees are reasonable and is pleasant and tolerant of novice questions.

I am absolutely delighted with Frank O'Reilly! He called right back, told me what to do to prepare for his visit, showed up when he said he would, and fixed everything perfectly. We had a whole collection of electrical problems building up over the past year, and Frank fixed them all in a couple of hours. He also had no problem with climbing on a very high ladder to access a cathedral ceiling. I recommend him highly and would use him again in a heartbeat.

Frank rocks. In this day and age of contractors overcharging, overcommitting and not showing up, Frank is a welcome exception. He is a local native and focuses on residential repairs and renovations.
Frank communicates quickly and easily and does what he says. He does good work, charges a fair price and leaves no trace.

Frank replaced one of my bathroom fans. It was a surprisingly complicated project that simply could not have been completed without Frank’s patience, determination and creativity. Excellent experience, highly recommend Frank O’Reilly. He responded to my voicemail within an hour for a request to inspect burning smell/warm outlet. He was able to fit me into gap in his schedule on the same day. Frank quickly identified the problem, explained options, and fixed it. I will be calling him for any future electrical needs.

Frank installed a EV charger for us which included wiring a new 50 amp receptacle to the garage. He had a lot of obstacles in our old house and went above and beyond expectations. He also responded immediately to an emergency power outage and downed line due to a felled tree. Frank is the best.

We’ve been using Frank for over twenty years. He has done big jobs such as installing roof wires around the whole perimeter of the house to prevent ice dams. They had previously caused serious damage, but since the wires were installed there have been no such problems. He’s also done small jobs – installing an electrical outlet – completed within one day of contacting him. We’ve recommended him to friends and all were completely satisfied. Frank is prompt, friendly, professional, and does excellent work at very reasonable prices. He is 5 stars plus!

Frank installed a Tesla Wall Charger at our home and made recommendations on how to give us flexibility to use a more general purpose EV outlet in the future. He was incredibly responsive, reasonably priced compared to other quotes, and very professional.

Working with Frank J O'Reilly was a very easy experience. I called Frank, he returned my call promptly, offering to stop by to assess the project.

I wanted a Tesla wall connector installed and it would not be a straight-forward installation, we had a fully used panel and the panel was separated from the garage by a finished basement.

Frank crafted a solution, explaining patiently what my options were for type of wiring, breaker amps, and surge protector - giving me an honest assessment for what would be helpful versus what was purely optional.

Frank advised his first opening for a project this size would be the following month, though he pleasantly surprised me after I received the wall connector, texting he had an opening that week and offered it to me.

The day Frank came, when he was able to open walls, he devised an even better solution for running the wires, which was greatly appreciated. He also was excellent about asking me about my preferences for breaker location, whether I was ok with where he would be placing the wiring (including a short run had to be outside, which he encapsulated in sturdy piping), and the placement of the wall connector.

Frank also promptly obtained a permit, and the inspector appears to have found everything in order. I would definitely use Frank J O'Reilly for other electrical projects.

Frank's a professional. I called Monday, he called me back, gave me an estimate of when he'd call back, when he'd come over and followed through on both statements.

For the work he dove right in, diagnosed a short within 30 minutes and I had the issue resolved 15 minutes later. He's awesome and I highly recommend!

Excellent, courteous, prompt service. Called Frank on Friday evening to install/connect lantern post. He called back right away, gave estimate, came the next morning (on Sat), and did the work quickly and professionally. Good job and well done. I’ll use him again.

Of the three local vendors I reached out to for service, Frank was the most patient listener and the only one immediately able to put me on his calendar. He made sure I understood how he came to determine the appliance as the cause, as well as the features I should make sure a replacement had to avoid stressing the system in the future. He also took the time to discuss future improvements and their scope. He noticed my doorbell needed attention and repaired that before leaving. He charged far less for the 30 minutes of his time than I expected. I enjoyed working with Frank and will certainly be seeking his assistance in the future.

Frank is great to work with. We have an old house and wanted to install recessed lighting. He responded to our inquiry quickly and came to give a fare estimate. It was a tough job but he’s got a lot of experiences and we are very happy with the outcomes. Will definitely recommend Frank!

I called Frank because the AC in my Mom’s house stopped working, on one of the hottest days of the year, and the problem was electrical.
Frank responded very quickly and reorganized his schedule so that he could go to my Mom’s house.
His service was excellent, efficient, very professional, with a very reasonable price. He even didn’t charge for an emergency call when he found out my mother was an elderly person.

Frank was quick to respond, and immediately came to fix the cables and meter after a fallen pole knocked out the electricity, leaving a 92 yr old gentleman without lights or heat. Frank O’Reilly Master Electrician was prompt in returning my call. He was polite, respectful and knowledgeable of the electrical needs of a mid-century modern home. He was able to locate hard to find breakers, while other the other company, I hired started the job and then walked away and Never returned my 6 calls even though they said the electrician would call me back each of the 6 days of waiting. Frank was able to completely overhaul my breaker panel, replace several outlets, wire an induction stove, and clean up within several hours in an afternoon!! I had a problem today with a blown fuse in a circuit breaker. Frank returned my call within 10 minutes and was able to talk me through fixing the issue over the phone. He was friendly and helpful and cared enough to take the time to walk me through the process of replacing the fuse and how not to overload it again. Thank you, Frank!

We are very pleased with the work Frank recently completed for us. Our current project replaced our electric service panel as the first step in our plan to add additional services to our older home, such as a heat pump and an electric stove.
