Constraction reviews in Lynn, Massachusetts

Henry and his team exceeded our expectations with the construction of our new patio and stairs. Their professionalism was evident throughout the entire project, as they consistently maintained a clean and organized work site. We highly recommend their services to anyone seeking exceptional quality workmanship.

It was an excellent experience working with Henry and Goodwood General Construction because of clear communication and delivery on expectations. We had our driveway in Stoneham expanded to a doublewide in October 2023, and I am remiss for not writing a review sooner, but now I can comment that the driveway has sailed through its first winter without notice.

I found Goodwood by searching online and it was easy to call Henry and then set up a time to visit for a quote over text. We selected his quote for the job amongst competing offers because it was very competitive and it met or exceeding the recommendations for base and pavement thickness. Furthermore, Henry, the owner of the company, would be on site for the entirety of the job and has been in the business for over 20 years.

Henry scheduled the work a few weeks out and took care of contacting Dig Safe before starting the job. He showed up with a digger and 2 assistants on Monday morning and they finished the project on Thursday. They tore up 2 old retaining walls and surrounding shrubbery, created new allan block retaining walls, laid the base and then paved the driveway with impressive grading. The pavement seems level and the slope is hard to notice without looking across the retaining walls, but it is also along two axis because the rain now drains diagonally out the driveway into the street. Lastly, Henry's team filled in the missing dirt from the shrubs and laid seeds that grew well in the fall - our other quotes specifically noted that I would be responsible for any landscaping that might be needed after the job. I look forward to hire Henry and Goodwood General Construction for our next home project.

Henry and Dayron did a wonderful job on our patio and fence project. They were timely and professional and provided great value. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Goodwood as an outstanding company for anyone in need of their services. Their customer service is top-notch, and they have proven to be 100% reliable. Our retaining wall installation was done professionally and the results are exceptional. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and would confidently recommend Goodwood to anyone seeking their services.

Henry constructed a 12' x 16' concrete patio in my back yard just as I requested. The construction and quality was outstanding. He left the job site neat and surrounding grade better than I had expected. His quote was reasonable and he completed the job on time as per my request.

Henry and his team were excellent to work. They solved a problem we had with flooding in our back yard by installing channel drains and dry well. They knew what they were doing, finished the job in a timely manner and did a great job restoring the yard afterwards. Henry was always available for questions and was even willing to stop by after the job was completed to show us how to maintain the channel drains. Goodwood Construction is a great company to work with and I highly recommend them.

Henry answered every call, responded to every text, and came by 3 different times to answer questions even before he was hired. The crew showed up when promised and promptly at 7:30am every morning. They replaced old cement stairs and removed and old driveway and replaced it with new beautiful stairs, paver walkway, paver aprons and border and new asphalt driveway. Highly recommend this company and have already asked them back to do more work.

I recently hired Goodwood General Construction to install a new concrete slab in my backyard, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Henry and his team were professional, on time, and clearly knew what they were doing. They took the time to explain the process, answered all my questions, and kept everything clean and organized throughout the project. The slab came out perfectly—solid, level, and exactly how I envisioned it. It’s rare to find contractors who care this much about quality and customer satisfaction. Highly recommend!

I cannot praise Henry and his crew at Goodwood General Construction. The professionalism of him and his crew is unbelievable. We will see him again in future projects for our home

Henry and his team did a fantastic job! Goodwood's quality of workmanship, timeliness, communication, cleanliness and attention to details was exceptional. Goodwood renovated our whole yard, front porch, redid our garage floor, expanded our driveway, removed a pine tree that was too close to the house and recommended for removal by a certified arborist due to potential foundation damage risk, resolved yard water drainage issue, installed new fencing, repointed the foundation, repaired the external accent wall and built a beautiful small accent wall in the private area of the yard. Awesome work! Thanks a million!

Needed Lally columns to replace old wooden supports. I couldn't have been more satisfied with Goodwood's work and professionalism. I highly recommend them and would have them back if/when the need arises for other projects.

Goodwood General Construction (Henry Perez) is the ultimate professional, very personable & knowledgeable. I watched him work from my window as he did my Curb-Cut & noticed how meticulously he worked. I’m very pleased & recommend him & his company, they deserve the highest score #5!!!

My house needed a new retaining wall, where an old one was already collapsing. It was a complex job, involving a long section of the wall along the road and a section along the sloping driveway. Henry and Goodwood Construction did an excellent job, both in removing the remains of the old wall and building a new one. Henry came promptly to evaluate the project and give a detailed explanation of the required work and a written estimate. Within a couple of weeks they started the work, bringing lots of heavy machinery for the tasks. The new retaining wall was built meticulously, with all the required arrangements for proper water drainage. And they have replanted the plants along the wall that were in the way of the construction. During the project, Henry was always reachable to accommodate our desires for the new construction. I am happy with the new wall and the excellent work that was done, and I heartily recommend Henry and his company for construction works big and small that you require.

Excellent work, professionalism, good communication, 100% recommended 👏

The team did a great job doing the ceiling, he is very clear in communicating the details and prompt in responses, I see he is a perfectionist, made sure that everything is done as per the project commitment. Will definitely hire him again.

I will be updating this review with pictures.... This is the guy you want to do your hardwood flooring. The work is quality and he stands by it. We are doing a large renovation with a lot of hardwood flooring. After putting in the appliances one of appliance installers (not his crew) scratched the floor. Elvis came promptly and sent his guys on the weekend to refinish the floors to help us move in sooner which is super kind of him. Really great customer service and really nice work.

My elderly aunt had some work done to her floors by A DIFFERENT contractor who ruined the floors and Elvis swooped in and fixed the extremely complicated ruined floors at a very fair price. He and his team were extremely efficient, friendly and highly skilled. The floors turned out beautifully and he was extremely communicative throughout the process. As someone whose family has been repeatedly screwed over by contractors in the past, this was the best experience we personally have ever had. We took a bunch of his business cards to give out to our friends and family, he is a trustworthy wonderful guy and is easy to talk to. Highly recommend!

Elvis refinished our floors with perfection. They have never looked better! They were extremely neat, courteous, accommodating, and professional. All in all, they made this a wonderful experience. So did you say seven or 730?I Yep, you can take

Elvis truly knows his craft when it comes to flooring. He installed laminate perfectly, even in homes with uneven subflooring, matched the existing floors flawlessly, and created seamless transitions. He stayed flexible and accommodating throughout the project and was easy to work with—highly recommended!

We had a fantastic experience working with Elvis Wood Flooring to replace wall-to-wall carpeting with hardwood throughout our new home. Elvis delivers exceptionally high-quality work and takes real pride in his craftsmanship. His crew is skilled, efficient, and reliable, and they completed our project within a very tight timeline. Elvis went above and beyond to coordinate seamlessly with our painting and electrical crews, which helped move everything along smoothly and on schedule.

Communication was excellent throughout the process, and Elvis was always responsive and proactive. Days after the job was done and we were all moved in, an appliance delivery caused scratches on our newly finished floor. Elvis came back the very next day—moved all our furniture out, repaired and refinished the entire floor, and had everything back in place within 36 hours. That level of service is rare.

Elvis is a fair, honest, and dedicated professional who turned what could have been a stressful renovation and move into a smooth and joyful experience. We’re so grateful for his work and would recommend him without hesitation.

I would highly recommend Nick the Painter for his honestly, professionalism, workmanship and wonderful communication. I contacted Nick to repaint my home, and he did a wonderful job in a timely manner. I am thrilled with the results and will definitely be using him again for any future paint jobs. I highly recommend his services. Karen Murphy.
