Tree reviews in Marion, Massachusetts

Excellent job, very reasonably priced, and a great team to work with. They transformed our ugly tangle of dead trees and underbrush into a beautiful and usable yard. It was a big two day job. They were very neat and organized and also flexible with changing the scope of work as the job progressed. Highly recommended!

Chris the owner is polite, knowledgable, and resposive. After a recent storm i had 2 50' pines leaning over my house. Chris returned my call quickly came over the next day gave a very reasonable price and then removed the trees as soon as he was able. He removed the trees causing no damage to my house power lines or deck even though it was a difficult job. He and his crew were very friendly and down to earth while remaining professional and safe. I would hire them again without question for the quality of their work and also they were very reasonable in cost. 5 stars plus. Thanks Chris.

The entire crew is very professional and considerate. The set-up for cutting 11 trees was efficient and considerate of other plants and lawn. Cleanup was excellent. And, they have the coolest equipment I've ever seen.

Chris and his crew were professional and skilled in the removal of several large oak trees that were threatening our barn. I am amazed at how efficiently the process went and how improved the area is. Chris was terrific in his communication and everything from the quote, to the contract, to the service was a job well done. Thanks.

Chris and his crew were excellent! We couldn't be happier with the results. We had 4 large pines removed from our yard. Chris and his team were careful not to damage any of the established plantings surrounding the trees. We highly recommend Notch Your Average. Professional and fair pricing.

Chris and team did an outstanding job taking down several trees for us at a very fair cost. They exercised every caution, reviewed the exact location of our septic system to avoid potential damage, and went the extra mile to leave no trace behind. I will absolutely call on Chris and team in the future and highly recommend Notch Your Average Tree Service!

Five star work done by Chris Welch and his amazing team at Notch Your Average Tree Service! Chris returned phone call(s) promptly [where other companies I called never responded at all] and came out on a weekend to walk my property with me to put together an estimate. We ended up needing to remove more trees than I anticipated but Chris explained the need for each in a way that left me comfortable with the decisions.
His (and his team's) knowledge and expertise were apparent - he presented the facts and his observations but he never pushed - only suggested. The final quote was terrific and much lower than expected. And then there's the crew and the equipment!! Wow. Team work at it's absolute best - efficient, flawless, friendly, precise, professional, safe & secure - all aided by incredible, top notch equipment. They all knew what they, and each other, were doing and did it exceptionally well. In my opinion, they all went above and beyond to leave my yard in better condition than when they started. Kudos to Chris & crew! They have my gratitude.

We had several large oaks and a pine tree damaged as a result of the Cape Cod tornado. As you can imagine there were lots of folks prowling the neighborhoods with chain saws and ladders offering their services. Chris and his team are true professionals with top notch equipment and the expertise to get the job done right. They came early in the morning and were done by 1pm. Except for wide open spaces we now have you would never know they were here. I would highly recommend Chris and his team.

There was a lot to be impressed about with these folks. They roll out with some impressive equipment. But the most impressive machine is the well-oiled machine that is their crew. You ever see a business where the people are REALLY good at their job and you just want to watch them work? Well, I gotta tell you, don't plan to get much done when they come out to take down a tree. You will be glued to your window like it was a TV screen just watching them do their thing. They were incredible and went above and beyond. They managed to even leave my yard in better shape than when they came! I wish I had another annoying tree in my yard so I could call them out again to take it down. Best show I've ever watched!

A Huge Maple between a house and garage, small pine and two huge scrub pines with less than a 12 foot width taken out with precision and care for property. This included stump grinding and the clean up was better than when they started . The owner came out three times to assure the job would be done without harming one tree. First class all the way

I would highly recommend Notch Your Average Tree Service and would hire them again for any tree services we may need in the future. Chris communicated with us from the first day he came out to look at our property until the job was completed. He did absolutely everything he said he would and more. The crew were on time, professional and efficient. It was like watching a well oiled machine in how they cut our trees down and removed the stumps. After the work was done they cleaned up the yard and lawn beautifully. We are so glad we decided to hire Notch Your Average Tree Service, it was a pleasure doing business with Chris and his crew.

This tree service couldn’t have been more professional and courteous. They did an excellent job cutting several huge trees, mulching overgrowth, and clearing up the yard when they were done.

I can’t recommend this service enough!

June 2024
Notch did work for me in January and I had more, very extensive work done yesterday and today. There were many trees to cut, trees to prune, stumps to grind, and more.

I can not praise this company enough!!! I have used other tree services in the past, and have always been disappointed.

Chris and Andy and their crew are all friendly, professional, and clear in determining what the customer wants. A written proposal lets you know exactly what will be done and there is no fuzzy area, confusion, or disappointment.

I am blown away with how wonderful my extensive, tree studded yard looks.

Thank you, Notch, for a fantastic job!!!

We had an excellent experience with notch your average tree service. they went above and beyond what we expected. if they had more than five stars, I would give it!

The team from Notch Your Average Tree Service did an exceptional job. They were professional, courteous and affordable! They did everything that was asked of them and left our property in excellent condition. We highly recommend them!

We called 4 local tree services to remove 22 trees of all sizes from the our property with more than half 30 feet tall or more. Chris Welch owner of Notch Your Average Tree was the only one to return our inquiry.

We left a request at his website and within a couple of days he not only returned our call, he met with my wife and I at the property. He has all the equipment needed to handle any project.

Visit his website! (Notch Your Average Tree)

His ins. Company forwarded all the req. documents. He estimated a date of start and completion and met it. Always an open line of communication during your project.

He has many years of experience and he and his staff are professional tradesmen and easy to talk to. He is a family owned local business and I wouldn’t look to call anyone else for help or consultation in landscape and tree removal.

Thank you Chris your wife and staff for an excellent experience.

These guys delivered log length firewood for us. Despite an unexpected issue with the truck, they managed to get the job done. The owner even came by on his own to see it through.

If you want to hire someone with persistence, resourcefulness, and whatever it takes to get the job done, call Notch Your Average Tree

Thanks Chris, Julian, and Drew

We needed to have 3 trees and a lot of pruning done, Notch Your Average Tree Service got it all done in less than 2 days.
One tree was very rotted and near our electrical lines, I thought it would be difficult because it had 3 separate trunks (leads?) and they had it done in only several hours.
The owner is professional and personable, the crew is awesome and left our yard better than it was before they came.

I am thrilled at how much better our yard looks and I no longer have to worry about trees falling on our house!

Overall we will be using them for all future tree work.

I have used Chris and his team on several occasions and they have always been outstanding.
He thinks thru how he is going to access the tree and dispose of the tree before starting the jobs and reviewed it with me which I appreciated.
He just finished some complicated work removing trees damaged by the tornado.
I stopped in to check on how the job was wrapping up today and wanted to share this photo.
He cares about your property. I dont think i had seen someone take the time to setup like this for the stump grinding to prevent woodchips from getting on the lawn.
Fantastic to work with.

Notch your average tree company is Spectacular. I have never seen a bunch of men work so hard in my whole life. They spent 6 hrs cleaning up my yard after 2 pines from a neighbors yard fell and destroyed another tree of mine and totaled my two cars. I called Chris he was there to give me an estimate in 20 minutes. I am so glad I picked this company. I am going to tell everyone you ever need trees removed they are the ones. They cleaned every spec off my lawn before they left. What a crew they are so nice, courteous and the hardest workers. Outstanding I give them Five Stars I wish I could give them 10 stars. They definitely are Notch your average company there the Best. Thank you Chris for such a Wonderful experience. Lori & Chuck

Outstanding and professional service from a Top Notch crew of experienced hard workers. All aspects; crew, equipment, communication, change requests, estimates and prices were the best. Couldn’t recommend them more highly. Thanks Chris and crew.

I can’t say enough about what an excellent job this company did ! They were very professional, they worked hard all day , very well coordinated. Everyone had a job and knew how to do it . This was not an easy job , two very large trees , close to buildings and power lines . Not one issue ! When they were done you could not even tell they were here !
First time I can actually say I got my moneys worth!! Finally a business owner that gives 100% and has a work and business ethic!!!
