I have interviewed a lot of local landscapers and Jay was the one that really stood out. He had a vision and came up with a great design for me that’s above and beyond what I asked for. So impressed with his design abilities and honesty. When his team (Mark, Mike and Chris) came out, they finished the project super quickly and everybody was extremely nice and professional. The entire team was just a breeze to work with. Their work product is just impeccable. I couldn’t be any happier with the end results. Thank you Jay!!!!!

Jay and the Modern Landscaping are absolutely the best in the business. Had a new septic system installed and our backyard was a mess. Didn't know what to do, just knew we needed help. Jay showed up, walked through the space with us, heard what we were thinking, and came back with a perfect solution. Jay was timely, responsive, and did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. Mark and the install team were great - efficient, considerate and took care of every detail. Can't recommend Jay and his team enough - if you want a top of the line result, look no further.

We are so happy we had Jay and his team at Modern Landscaping install our new front yard walkway, plantings, lighting, and underground drainage. Jay's design was gorgeous, and his team were professional, experienced, and courteous throughout the entire job. It turned out absolutely beautiful!!! Jay and his team did a very fast and clean job, I had half of my front lawn destroyed along with my shrubs by another contractor who installed a failed drainage system but Jay walked me through the whole process and reassured me how to get it done right. No one likes to admit it but I was definitely one of the more complicated customers to work with because of my previous experience with another contractor so I was always skeptical but Jay was very patient, walked me through a beautiful landscaping design, proper buried downspout system, how to take care of my newly planted grass/shrubs and everything else that was on the scope of work.

Communication was always great and felt that Jay really does care about his clients. This review is a bit late considering the work was done last fall but better late than never.

Overall, I had a great experience and Jay and his team deserves a great review. I have hardscaping projects I'd like to do in the future and I'd definitely call Jay again when that time comes.

Jay, Mark and the crew did a phenomenal job for our back steps, patio, fire pit, and driveway. They transformed our backyard into a beautiful peaceful haven. The team was neat, clean and professional. They were consistently on time. They were very personable, a pleasure to work with, and provided explanations when needed. Jay did an excellent job with my putting green and outdoor entertainment area. He was very knowledgeable on turfs and acquiring the right permits which he installed. I am extremely impressed with service and quality. I would recommend!

We hired Jay and Modern Landscaping to renovate our backyard with new granite stairs, a new patio and garden beds. His team showed up on time every day, working professionally and efficiently even in some pretty cold weather. The patio looks great and will be a wonderful entertainment space for our family come spring when the lawn repair will be finished. Would hire again without hesitation

Jay and the Modern Landscaping team replaced our front steps (brick) in July 2020. Jay came by to scope the project and provided a few options and recommendations based on the different types and styles of landings the team has installed. We went with a full granite step and the team was able to demo the brick steps and finish the install within a few days. The team was very responsive before and under the project. I highly recommend the Modern Landscaping team and plan to work with them on future projects.

Jay and his crew are top notch. They have been hard at work remodeling my yard, installing a fence, and other things. There will be many more projects in the future but so far I am very impressed.

We knew we needed to give our front yard a face lift for a better curb appeal. But we didn’t know where to begin to get it done right. COVID-19 made it extremely difficult to setup consultation visits with local landscapers. The moment that we began to talk to Greg, we knew Modern Landscaping was the right fit for our job. Greg came in with a wealth of experience, was very assertive, and most importantly was very keen to doing things right within our budget. Thanks to Greg, we now know more about a variety of shrubs and plants than we ever cared for. The whole experience couldn’t have been more individualized, and we totally enjoyed and appreciated it.

Due to the pandemic it took a little longer to execute the project as they were backed up with prior commitments. We were very excited when the date range became a specific start date. Jay and his crews showed up exactly at 7am to begin the work. To say that they were ready to rock and roll would be an understatement. They transformed our front yard into an oasis complete with lights in just one day. While everything is new, the whole thing looks as if it was constructed with the house. It was simply stunning. Jay loves his work and is passionate about it. The guy is a perfectionist. Working from home that day, we were observing from our windows. We lost count on how many times he would go back to look review the work of his associates and without their knowing it made the slightest adjustment to ensure that things were perfectly adjusted and aligned. They clean up after themselves, and they certainly left our yard tidier than they found it. If you were looking for a landscaper who is sensitive to your needs, pays attention to details, takes pride in his work, and who will not send you to break a bank, we would wholeheartedly recommend Modern Landscaping.

He helped design it, was open to many changes, and spent time at the house to make sure any issues (there were very few) were resolved quickly and done in the right way. This was a big investment that came with many questions and conversations and Jay was open to that throughout. From the onset of the project Jay solicited how we planned to use the patio. He created several spectacular digital designs that allowed us to truly envision what they were going to build. Jay truly takes a passion in his designs and he is an artist in this regard. During the proposal process Jay broke down the project in several options with the associated pricing, which we really appreciated. The team at Modern Landscaping really cares about their projects and strives to ensure each part of the project is executed as close to perfect as possible.
