After a car hit my husbands dental office in Somerville, MA and caused major exterior damage, I found JFC Pros Construction online and they responded immediately. Joe came out that day, provided a plan, and handled permits right away.
Within just a few days, they exposed the damage, brought in a structural engineer, and delivered a detailed, stamped scope of work. Despite being a busy company, they made me feel like a priority and handled everything efficiently, including the insurance process.

Highly recommend JFC Pros for emergency situations and any construction needs.

I couldn’t be happier with the carport JFC Construction built for my home. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Their pricing was very competitive, especially considering the quality of the workmanship. The structure they delivered is rock‑solid, cleanly cut, and built with real attention to detail—exactly what you hope for but rarely get.

The crew was everything you want on your property: kind, courteous, and impressively neat. They showed up on time, kept the site organized, and treated the project like it mattered to them personally.

I had not seen your reply until I received a call today from Better Business Bureau stating that you are denying we ever signed a contract. I provided them with a copy of our contract and they will be taking action.

I will not respond to your many excuses in your response below, as I've seen others do on Yelp, BBB, etc.

Noticing the many reviews in a short time frame on your business, I will also caution possible consumers that JFC Pros's prior google business page was taken down - I suspect because of the increasing negative reviews it had been receiving earlier in the year. I don't believe the current positive reviews to be from true customers but obviously this is just my suspicion.

I can attest that JFC's account of lying to the Better Business Bureau about never signing a contract is quite in line with our experience in dealing with them as a business.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I implore potential consumers to avoid JFC Pros for any projects based on our experience. We lost money and a great deal of time, as we dealt with immense frustration.

We signed our contract with JFC Pros in May 2025. I have since learned that JFC Pros license was REVOKED from May 2025, when we signed the contract, due to a complaint with the HIC - thus he did not have an active contractor's license, which we were not informed of.

We sought to replace our deck with a different layout, which I had clear plans about. I chose JFC as Joe had seemed like a reliable business owner at that time.

JFC Pros violated Massachusetts General Law 142A by requesting 40% of total project cost as down payment, which we did not know about at the time. The demolition of our current deck started shortly thereafter. Immediately upon starting deck demolition, Joe requested additional 40% payment. We refused, and this was the start of our concerns.

Joe had not obtained project permits prior to starting the demolition of our deck. He submitted for permits after demolition, which then required a surveyor. We paid for the surveyor despite contract stating that JFC Pros would pay for the surveyor cost. The deck framing did not start until about 4-5 weeks after the initial demolition.

We noticed that only the lumber was delivered for framing, not the decking boards or railings. Joe said he would not order those until the frame was done. We tried to persuade to order supplies but he refused. Once the frame was done, he told us the deck supplies were ordered. We called Lowes who informed us that there were NO boards or railings ordered. We asked Joe about this who blamed it on Lowes, and a few weeks after the framing was done, we received deck boards and Azek trim.

There were times where weeks or days would go by with no work being done; and days where only one person would show up. Very little consistency in the crew.

Joe ordered 20 foot trex boards although we only needed 16 foot boards. This resulted in extra cost, with added waste. He only ordered enough deck boards for half of the deck and half the stairs. We had alerted him to this, and requested he order railings. Joe refused and said although he said he would order remainder of supplies once the job was 50% done, he still did not do so. We met with him in person and I made very clear that as customers, we were worried about delays and lack of funds to order the remainder of supplies - he walked away in frustration and still refused to order the remainder of supplies. He told us the remainder of the decking would take us above our contractual allowed limit and cause extra out of pocket expense, despite the initial error in the size of boards ordered.

We have since terminated the contract with JFC Pros due to lack of trust, lack of transparency in timeline, beginning to notice poor workmanship/design; and an overall extremely poor experience. We have lost money by doing so but fear we would have paid excessive money and spent many months completing the project, had we stayed with JFC Pros, as noted in other reviews.

We had an amazing experience with Joe! Don’t hesitate to hire if you want hardworking, experienced and honest people working on your home! We completely gutted and renovated our kitchen,!

Joe has helped me twice on two different projects. The first time was a renovation to create more habitable space at a property in Marlborough, and the second time he converted a garage into an ADU apartment. Both times, he handled everything — from design and drawings to pulling permits — and successfully passed all building inspections. Joe helped us with a complete renovation of a two-family property in Clinton. During the work, once we exposed the framing, we discovered several structural issues. Joe quickly brought in architects and engineers, and his team was able to repair and reinforce all the affected areas. Joe performed two major renovations! one in Westborough and another in Northborough. The work included knocking down walls, adding support beams, and the results came out amazing. I couldn’t be happier with the ADU project JFC Pros performed at a property in Northborough. Joe helped us from the very beginning and designed everything. The design came out beautiful and fulfilled everything we were looking for. He pays close attention to the details.

Although the apartment is small, we don’t feel cramped. He created an open-concept kitchen and living room, designed a bedroom with oversized closets for plenty of storage, and came up with smart ideas like using the attic for additional storage. The apartment is built completely independent from the main house. The full bathroom has an oversized shower, a good-sized vanity, a stackable washer and dryer, everything my mother needs to feel independent. Both front and back entrances are equipped with handicap ramps. Although she doesn’t need them now, the property is ready if she ever needs a wheelchair in the future.

I can’t say enough about JFC Pros. They pay attention to every detail, the craftsmanship is excellent, and the work, completed in 2023, remains in perfect working order today.

I have used JFC Pros on flips that I have done for business and also recently a bathroom remodel in my personal home. I really think that says a lot right there.
