Never showed up on the day scheduled. No notice, just didn't show. Never responded to my multiple texts and calls to learn what happened and whether I was still on the schedule.

Rick helped us out quickly and professionally after one of our solar arrays stopped working, and our attempts to address it with the company that did the install were less than satisfactory. Rick knows his stuff, was very fast to respond, and did a great job for us at a very reasonable price.

Had my first experience with Blackout Energy recently and was very happy. Being a contractor, I know how it can be difficult sometimes for communication, punctuality, responsiveness etc.. and Rick was on point every time letting me know different milestones every step of the project. I will definitely be hiring Rick and his team again for future solar work.

Blackout Energy was hired to do the electrical connection of our new solar panels. Rick and his team were outstanding, helpful, and did quality work on time as scheduled. They were sensitive to how the electrical conduit was best positioned on the house and it came out great. I will definitely use them again for any additional electrical work we have and highly recommend them.

All Electric is the best. We have been using their services for the last five years in our commercial and residential properties. They are efficient, detailed, organized and very professional.

I question the character of the owner of All Electric Works. I happened to be cleaning out our file cabinet when we found this old receipt for some work done by Rick Regan. It's a very long and complicated story but please try to bear with me.
In 2005, my wife and I purchased our first home, a 1920s colonial in Wellesley. While getting the hardwood floors refinished, we discovered that the house did not have a 220V supply coming into the house from the street. The home inspector did not catch that and they were liable to pay to bring 220V service into the house from the street. We hired All Electric Works using Service Magic, a website used to match jobs to contractors.
Rick "did the work", we paid, sent the claim to the home inspection company, got reimbursed $2000 but also had to sign an affidavit releasing the home inspection company from any further liability from the 220V issue. At this time, I was working 6 days a week as a newly graduated dentist, my wife was a school teacher so she oversaw the job. Being first time homeowners, we really did not know what to look for and just trusted Rick that the job was done.
Fast forward to what I believe was 2008-2009 when we were going to get some work done on the house. We found out that the permit that was pulled for the electrical work in 2005 was never finished and closed. The inspector came out and told us that someone had prepped for the line to be brought in from the street, but never actually finished the job. There was no 220 V service to the house, in fact, the outside shutoff was also disconnected which can create a dangerous situation for the fire department, should they ever have to enter the house during a fire. I called Rick to ask him about this. Rick said that his company was going out of business, he also just suffered a house fire so he lost everything and replied "Sue me" and left it at that. Unfortunately, we were beyond the statute of limitations for the State of Massachusetts.
When we hired him for the job in 2005, we did not give him any constraints on budget or time. We just wanted to work done properly. For someone to just LIE about a job being done and take money, that takes a pretty low person. But to leave a potentially dangerous situation for the homeowners and for the fire department, then to just shrug it off with a "well, sue me" when called out on his deceit? I really have no words to describe a person like that.
It gets a lot more complicated because since then, the Town of Wellesley now requires that all electrical lines be done underground, lines from the poles to the house have to be run using a special conduit that has to be purchased from the town, etc, etc, etc. This job would now cost about $15,000. It's water under the bridge, but the headache that Rick has caused with his dishonesty and complete disregard to at least offer to fix what he did wrong is completely inexcusable. I hope Rick learned from this mistake, but I just thought I would share my personal experience with this company.

I did read your reviews that it seems that you have changed your business practices. Whatever happened in your life to make you decide to change, I commend you for changing your ways.

My review is based on our experience which you have forgotten about but has left a lasting impression on us. That experience as first time homeowners taught us a valuable lesson to not trust contractors. If you need a refresher, you are more than welcome to drive by the house or even look it up on google maps. It's a 2 story yellow colonial on Cedar Street, just off of Route 9 in Wellesley. I don't know how many jobs you took money and did not complete during those times but if we were a one off case, I'm sure you lost many nights of sleep, hoping that we would never catch on. If we were one of your usual "victims", then obviously, it is easy to forget us. In any case, the house has moved onto new owners. I just happened to find this old receipt during cleaning. Good to see that you're "back in business".

We have hired Rick Regan's services several times over the past few years and have always been happy with his work. Among other things, he has installed a new main circuit breaker panel, installed a range hood (vented through the exterior wall), and installed a heating cable along the edge of our roof(to prevent icicles). He comes when he says he will, his prices are reasonable and he is careful and conscientious on the job.

I am the head of Maintenance for a property in Westborough. Rick is my go to electrician. From the first time I called him he was very quick to come right out and give us an estimate and even helped trouble shoot some other issues that we were having that had nothing to do with the job we hired him to do. All the work he has done here has been done in a very timely manner and his prices are very reasonable. We will continue to call him for all future electrical work.

Around Christmastime I had Rick from All Electric Works come out to check the flickering lights in my house. It turned out to be a major and dangerous issue. Rick worked tirelessly and dealt with both the electric company and the town inspector until my house was safe for me and my kids again. His communication is excellent. He kept me informed every step of the way, and always showed up when he said he was going to. He is 100% trustworthy, and he went above and beyond, truly. I never expected to get an update on how my cat was doing or to have help fixing my kid's bike. He made a very stressful time a whole lot easier to get through and his work is impeccable. He installed two paddle fans and an outdoor lamppost for me as well, and I couldn't be happier with his work. I recommend Rick without hesitation. He's the man you want on the job!

Rick was timely and prompt with his callback, quote and start of the job. Very competitive quote. Unsurpassed quality of work completed in a very timely matter. No mess left behind..very neat clean up. Rick was able to acquire town permit and get the work signed off by the town inspector. I will definitely use his services again and highly recommend his services to anyone looking for high quality electrical work! Very satisfied 😀.

Rick and his team at All Electric Works did an outstanding job on our basement project. We had to switch electricians towards the end of the project and Rick had to diagnose a few problems resulting from the prior work that were affecting other parts of the house. He did this quick and efficiently - his expertise really showed and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

Rick at All Electric Works was professional, fast working, and true to his price. The job was very reasonable priced and he went above and beyond with his quality of work. I will be using this company for any electrical needs in the future.

If you need any electric work done at your home, I highly recommend giving Rick a call. He is reliable, knowledgeable, and very skilled at what he does. When we encountered a problem with our electric panel and we were worried about the safety of our home. Fortunately, Rick arrived promptly and was able to identify and fix the issue quickly. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the service we received from Rick and would definitely use him again in the future.

Renan from RM Electrician was great to work with. The day after I called him he came over to scope out the project. He offered two options to fix the problem and was able to schedule the work within a week. He was on time, courteous, and competent. I would definitely recommend him.
