Very affordable and reliable service. Charlie did a great job with seeding the lawn.

Ryan did a great job trimming the bushes and the backyard tree. Everything was cleaned up perfectly and the yard looks better than ever. It was an all-around great job and I was extremely happy with the professional and polite service.

We’ve have experience with several landscaping businesses in the Salem area and Simply is the only one who has been super efficient and honest with their services. They call themselves Simply, but it’s not a joke! Everyone is so kind and they make the process as seamless as humanly possible. Brandon has been so great about coordinating everything with us, and Orion did an excellent job at cleaning up our yard today. I highly recommend!

I’ve used Simply Lawn Care a lot in the past (clean outs, edging, compost, etc.) and just had them rototill and compost our beds. Nate and Ryan did a fantastic job, working quickly and efficiently — our beds have never looked better! Customer service was fantastic as always too. They did a walk through after they finished to make sure I was satisfied and then did a thorough clean up to get all the dirt and debris. Thank you, Nate & Ryan! Will definitely do this again next year.

Simply Lawn Care Services is a great company. I came across this company by chance in researching a company to undertake de-thatching, aeration and overseed of my lawn. The team performed outstanding, and the lawn came out looking terrific. I utilized their services again this week for curbside leaf pick-up. Again, the service was impeccable. Hard to find companies that adhere to true customer service. Every employee I have met is polite, efficient and attentive to every detail. They don’t just show-up and rush through the job. Simply Lawn did an excellent job clearing out the jungle in my yard. They took care of the overgrown lawn, removed the weeds and cleaned the mulch beds in the front of the house, leaving everything looking well landscaped. The cost of the service was also very reasonable. The owner is very kind, professional, and very quick to respond to communications. He was able to accommodate the job in short notice which I appreciate because I reached out to some other companies and they ghosted me during the scheduled appointments to look at the job and provide a quote.

There are several things that set Simply above their competition in the area. Their work is excellent every week; they make my front lawn look like a million bucks. I also really appreciate their communication: if they're delayed due to weather or other circumstances, I get a text saying they'll be here tomorrow. No more wondering if the landscaper is going to show up or not. A specific shout-out to one of their landscapers, Luis G, who constantly goes above and beyond in his work. An easy 5-stars.

Adding a new review for the most recent job, January 2026:
We are happy repeat customers because every time we get a crew of super friendly fellas who love their work, are good at it, and love to please the client in every detail. This time it was Chris, Nuno, and Caden. A lot of leaf debris had accumulated and was pretty matted down in places. They blew it all clean, dead-headed hostas, blew the leaves out of the bushes and away from the fence in back. Cold and ice sticks around longer in Topsfield than other towns, so we were lucky to get enough time in our January thaw for conditions to be just right. Thanks to all of you for another superb job!

Our first big cleanup was completed today. A huge success. A big job thoroughly and carefully done with full attention to detail. All done in one day. The team of two fellas was super friendly, easy to talk to, listened well. I highly recommend for anyone with a tedious lawn care project. Will definitely call on them again.

We just called on them again. Mike and DJ did a superb job following Scott's instructions and also consulting with me to make sure our every concern was addressed. Always polite, courteous. These are people you can talk to. The yard is now spic and span and the huge mounds of leaves and debris well disposed of behind our property. Well worth dealing with a crew we can fully trust.

Another job well done, October 2025. Nic mowed down all the noxious weeds in the uncultivated area in back, in preparation for leaf cleanup later in the season. As always, Scott is responsive to the individual specs of the job and makes sure his crew does just what is wanted. He earns a loyal customer base.

We hired Simply Lawn Care based on strong recommendations, and I have to say — the quality of the work and the communication have been excellent. The team is responsive, courteous, and does a great job with the lawn itself. That said, our experience with pricing left us disappointed.

We were initially told the first mow could cost 1x to 3x the quoted rate, depending on lawn condition. Even though our yard had been mowed the week before, we were still charged 3x the base rate. Then, just two weeks later, the cost of our weekly mow increased by 65%. Myself and four neighbors all signed up around the same time and experienced similar rate hikes — all within three weeks. It felt a bit like a bait and switch.

While I absolutely support the company’s intent to pay their workers a living wage (and they deserve it), it's unclear how that translates into such a drastic price increase so soon after starting service. Transparent and consistent pricing would go a long way in building lasting trust.

I chatted with Stephen about a possible upcoming service, who was very personable and straightforward. I called in at a later time and spoke to Beverly, who was very knowledgeable and kind. Although I'm still shopping around at this time, I wanted to mention how friendly and informative their staff is - very helpful!
