I had a delightful experience working with Egan landscaping. They cleared and receded my lawn and helped me with recommendations about the right kind of ground cover. They also planted shrubs that complement my outdoor space and we have some plans for additional work to do in the spring. They are professional, timely, and communicative. Highly recommend!

Mike Johnson and team are great to work with. We work with Egan for landscaping and snow removal services, as the agent for a number for a number of condominium associations along the south shore. They are patient, accommodating, timely and have strong attention to detail. They truly hit homeruns on the extra stuff- special requests, small-large projects, and recognizing seasonal concerns- irrigation or fertilization for example.

We had been meaning to add this walkway to our home since we moved in a few years back, but never got around to it. We finally reached out to Egan and within one month of Jake quoting the project, we had this beautiful walkway installed - we are so happy with it. The install crew, Josh & Jesse, were fantastic - they knocked out the walkway quickly, and were very accommodating to each request - they even moved a sprinkler head for us that was in the way. They were friendly and very respectful. They left the area very clean - this crew clearly takes pride in their work.

We already have a few more projects we’d like to work with them on - great crew, great customer service!

We recently had Eagan Landscape Group install a front walkway and some stone landscaping at the back of our home. From our initial call to have an estimate for what we wanted to have done, to coming home from vacation and see the final project completed! We couldn’t have envisioned a more smooth and professional experience! The entire project came out beautiful and far better looking then we imagined it would! Two and a half years ago, my husband and I moved into the Veridian neighborhood of Pinehills to a Fresco Patio home with an unfinished courtyard. We had decided not to go with the builder’s limited options but to wait while we got a feel for our use of the new home and the light in the courtyard.

My husband and I never do anything quickly. About a year ago we requested bids from three recommended contractors, Egan was one of the three. We knew that the initial response would require revisions and we were looking for someone who would work with us on our process. Last spring, having a better sense of what was feasible we went back to our 3 contracters, amending the initial proposals and providing more specific product information gathered from our own research.

As I mentioned earlier, all three were recommended by neighbors in the Pinehills who were very happy with their work. All 3 reworked their proposals on our behalf, one company who we did not go with, had required a $500 deposit in order to even submit a proposal. Egan’s proposal was not the lowest or the highest, BUT (and this is a big but) it was the most complete and specific to everything we were requesting for the space. They showed themselves to be not just responsive but accommodating and flexible. By the time we made the decision to go with Egan we were working with Jake and Jeff, Emily in the office, and Diane their plant speciaiist. Once the work began, we met their respective teams in hardscape, landscape, plumbing, irrigation, and lighting. There wasn’t a single person among them who wasn’t a pleasure to work with. I hated to see the job end because it was always such a pleasure to have them onsite.

The job did end, Phase I anyway. And, we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They made my rough drawing come to life. They worked with me on all the details, moving plants and lighting until I had the look and feel I wanted. We have continued on a maintenance program with them until the end of the growing season and will most likely continue in the spring. I look forward to working with all of them again and happily anticipate Phase II—once we know what we’re doing.

Oh, and besides our beautiful courtyard and the lovely staff, Egan finished $2,000 under the estimate. That’s a gift in itself.

We recently moved in to a home with a backyard overgrown with saplings and brush, and shrubs encroaching on the house. Egan has a reputation for doing great work - though at a healthy price point - and they did not disappoint. Their team, from design to execution, were very diligent and meticulous in every aspect of their service. Andrea managed the project, listened to our ideas, answered our many questions, and made helpful suggestions along the way. She was patient and did her best to be responsive during their busy Fall season. Louis and Patrick executed the plans, consulting us when needed on any issues and working so hard to make every aspect of the job look amazing. They created a backyard woodland garden, conversation seating area, drip strip along foundation and new planting bed in the front yard - rehabbing much with shrubs, mulch and gravel that was already here! Our only concern was the young perennials - astilbes, hostas and ferns - being planted just before temps fell below freezing. But Egan assured us that they stand behind their work and will replace anything that does not survive, so we can’t wait to see the emergence of our beautiful backyard garden in the Spring!

Lewis and ‘Clark’ (aka, Pat)

After 3 years with GH I was reticent to try another landscaper. Luckily though life got busy and I had no choice. Upon numerous recommendations I reached out to Egan even though it was already late October. Nick, my rep, calmly assured me it would be no problem. Good, because its cold out there and I don’t want to do it.

So along comes Landscaping Day and I meet Lewis and Pat, whom I promptly called Lewis and Clark the rest of the day. Normally with my last landscaper (GH) I need to reexplain, in detail, what needs to be done. Boy was I happily surprised when they had, courtesy of Nick, a thorough list in more detail than I originally provided; Nick translated my needs into clear and detailed instructions for Lewis & Clark.

So I briefly walked around the yard and rather than me tell them, they told me all they were going to do but were careful to double check when there were areas of concern. That was a nice change from GH and it gave me the confidence to head out and do some errands.

I was quite surprised a few hours later when I returned home that L&C were still at it. Were they slow?; no, far from it. They are the most thorough and dedicated landscapers I have ever worked with. The yard already looked 100% better and they were still at it. The diligence with which they worked showed and they weren’t even done.

Fast forward a couple hours more and its time to ‘check their work.’ Well not only is it better than any previous landscaper (yes, i’m talking to you GH), it far surpassed what I thought my yard could look like. I will be honest, after getting burned by GH I felt it was up to me to do all the work. Well thanks to Lewis and Pat (and Nick) my landscaping needs are no longer a concern of mine. They are now and moving forward the concern of Egan Landscaping. I could not be happier.

Note to the owner: I’m sure all of your workers are great but can I always have Lewis and Pat work on my yard? It’s not my fault they were so good but a high bar has been set. Just sayin’

Egan did a few projects for me this year, including creating a new planting bed. My experience was fantastic right from the point of initial contact to final clean up after the last job. They are very professional and organized. Great communication. Highly recommend!

Egan landscaping has generously donated and spread mulch for our 3 large yellow tulip gardens here at the Plymouth Community Intermediate School. This supports our local chapter of The Yellow Tulip Project, a nationwide organization to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness, spreading hope in our community. They have helped us for the last 3 years and have always been supportive of our local projects here in Plymouth. Thank you Egan!

Excellent job! The work done was outstanding! I have a ton of trees so removing the leaves alone was a daunting task! Not only did they clean the leaves but they cut back all the plants and raked all my garden beds. I had asked in advance to have two large burning bushes trimmed back as far as possible because they were beginning to block my windows. They checked to be sure we were on the same page before touching them and did an outstanding job cutting them back and allowing so much more light into my house. I have been a customer for a few years now and have to say this is the best my yard has looked so far! I would also like to shout out to my regular mowing crew. Although there were many weeks that there was nothing to mow due to lack of rain, they showed up every week and weed whacked the stray growth and used the leaf blower to tidy things up. And lastly I’d like to thank Nick for listening to my concerns and working with me. Job well done all around! I look forward to next year.

From our first phone call to Egan to the completion of the project, they were a pleasure to work with. The patio Egan Landscaping installed in our backyard is phenomenal. They were professional, approachable, very neat, and dependable, completing the project in the time frame promised. Their work is meticulous, paying very close attention to detail. We had a difficult “run off” situation, and they created a beautiful retaining wall, adding to the character of the patio. Jake Egan answered our concerns/ questions in a very reasonable time.

Egan just completed a hardscape project for us and we could not be happier! They did a complete patio with firepit and we will be working with them in the Spring to do landscaping between the deck and the retaining wall that goes around the whole patio. My backyard had a 6’ tall down slope that was at a 45° angle. It was unsightly and dangerous. With the recent birth of my grandson, I wanted to make it safe for him, and attractive to look at. Andrea Pereira from Egan developed a plan that included a 3’ retaining wall to regrade the slope, and then filled it with beautiful shrubs, bushes, perennials and grasses. It looks fantastic! It controls erosion, and it most importantly it makes my backyard safe for children.

I was fortunate to get her A-team - Louis and Patrick, who built the hardscape and did the plantings and mulch. I cannot compliment them both enough. They worked all week, including carrying heavy landscaping timbers, rock for drainage, soil for fill, plantings and mulch. They built a retaining wall that is a work of art. But most importantly was the knowledge and integrity they brought to the project. I can’t thank everyone at Egan enough!
