Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I purchased some loom and 7 rose plants, took the time to help me choose, and took them to my car.

Just discovered this place in March after living in Providence for 10 years. Needed some rough wood chips delivered and they put the three yards right on the tarp in my driveway the time they said they would. Service at the store is very welcoming and they are very friendly when you go to pick up some buckets or barrels of compost in their lot. Plan on coming here for a long time.

BUYER BEWARE!! I ordered a half cord of wood to be delivered. At the time of delivery, I wasn't home. If I were, I would have refused the filthy, dirty, wet wood soaked in dirty water. I now have a half cord of wood that refuses to catch; it will not burn regardless of our attempts to get it to burn. It sizzles and smokes, that's it. I'm so angry to have been taken by this long standing company who under all pretense is reputable. DO NOT BUY WOOD FROM J & L LANDSCAPING THEY ARE A SHAM!!!

Thank you for your response. You indicated customers are informed of the condition of the wood and that it is not kiln-dried and up to the customer to decide to purchase. The person who took my order DID NOT discuss the condition of the wood. Whomever picked up the wood to put in the truck, pick it up not from the top of the pile but from the bottom. The wood was in liquid, dirty water. Rain or no rain, it should have come from the top of the pile so that any rainwater would drain to the ground which is where my wood came from. So going forward, when a customer calls, your staff should disclose the condition of the wood and not assume the customer knows.

The gentleman working the mulch area needs better people skills.
Hate to rag on the guy but be nice you will get some good reviews. If not get someone else to work the area who is pleasant.

This place is awesome! Called them on a Saturday in a pinch with an emergency delivery needed, they made it happen! Super friendly and helpful.

I have gone to J&L a few times for random items (wreaths, plants, mulch, etc.) and have always had a good experience. Since they are local, we decided to buy our firewood from them this year. My in-laws did the same. Both of us requested 1/2 cord of seasoned firewood (and we paid extra for it as you would expect) and that is not what we received. The wood we got was soaking wet to the point that there was water dripping out the sides of it when you tried to get a fire going. We let it dry out for 1-2 months and it still was soaked. We could not get a fire going with this stuff as it hissed and smoked and just never caught. We ended up having to buy wood through another dealer and will have to let this wood sit for at least another year. When we called to complain, the woman who answered the phone was so dismissive. Bad product and bad service. Will not be buying from them again.

I've meant to write this all summer: the spring plants I got here are amazing! The owner was so helpful. I bought perennials and they are incredibly healthy and unusual. My red tick weed is stunning. What a great garden center.

My review has nothing to do with their service. I am neighbor across this business. The loud sound of leaf blower wakes me at 6am in the morning. I believe the ordinance in the town for noise disturbance is from 11 pm to 7am. I work late and sleep is precious to me.

For the past 6 years I have asked J&L Landscaping to do a spring clean up. The quality and service has always been great. Not the year. They sub contracted my work request to another landscaper. The quality or the work was poor. The company never returned to finish edgingthe brick walkways. My mistake for paying them after the 1st day. Be careful. Insist on J&L worker's only.

We absolutely love going here. We bought most of our plants from here for our garden and they have done phenomenal. The owners and staff are very helpful and know exactly what they are doing. Honestly, they are one of the most pleasant places we've gone to to get our plants. Will continue to go there and recommend highly.

I've been buying my wreaths and swags for years over at J&L in Seekonk. They are fresh and last a long time. Never had an issues with their products. They have a nice choice of ribbons and will swap them out to your liking. Great friendly customer service, it's always a pleasure shop here and appreciated with all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Love this place! I called and asked if they had fiddle trees- the owner specifically searched and brought back 2 beautiful trees to pick from. She even held both for me to chose from!

Have been using them for years, but today had river rocks delivered. Same rocks I have ordered 3 times (1-3") from J&L, and they are at least 50% over 6" wide. Employee on the phone and in person offered no resolution. Now have 2 yards of boulders in my driveway. Will not order from them again.

We have been clients of J&L for over 25 years. The service has always been outstanding. They have done yard maintenance, spring and fall cleanups, windows flowers, etc. Unfortunately, they sold the business a year ago and service is now nonexistent. The people who answer the phone are rude. They repeatedly lied to us about coming to cut our grass. They have one excuse after another. There’s been too much rain, we don’t have enough help, we’ll get right out to you. I’ve heard the same story from others. It’s a shame when you take an established business and ruin their reputation.

J & L saved me big time. Delivered firewood the day before the big snowstorm and inevitable power outage. Thanks for being dependable J & L.

They have a small Christmas shop as well as poinsettias, wreaths of all sizes, trees, tabletop boxwood trees, urns filled with greens for your front steps- nice to support Mom and Pop shops rather than big box stores!
