I want to start off by saying the crews that actually came to the house did great work. The management and booking people at the offices absolutely suck.
They were supposed to come to my house on the 25 of march, I waited till 10 as my window was 9-10, they said they would reach out to the company and find out, waited until 12 without a call, then they finally reached out and told me the paper work was mixed up and they weren’t coming today.
They ended up coming out on the first of April. They started the job and got to a point where the truck wasn’t pumping out the insulation. I told them I couldn’t stick around because of a wake, he called his manager and they said they had to come back. I waited two hours without any word so I called and then they said o they aren’t coming back out today but we can make a new appointment to finish, I said fine and told them Wednesday we’re best. They never got back to me.
Fast forward to today April 8, I was getting ready to leave for the day and they showed up. No calls, no appointments nothing. So I had to cancel my plans for the day just wait for them to do the work.
As I said, workers that came here were great. But the communication with this company absolutely sucks.

We had Mike, Jack and Ethan come to our house to install insulation. They did a great job. Knew what to do in a very professional way. They were very respectful in every way. Very timely, cleaned up and polite. I would highly recommend them and Mass Save. I am looking forward to saving money on my heating and AC because of HomeWorks Energy. Thanks again guys!!!

I recently worked with Homeworks to have a Mass Save sponsored home energy evaluation and insulation upgrades done on my "new" 1950s ranch home in Springfield, and found it to be an overall worthwhile experience.

The young man who performed the initial evaluation was very kind and polite, but I believe was new and confused which of my homes walls would need to be insulated from the outside vs the inside. This unfortunately lead to hours of wasted preparation time moving and covering items up in the wrong rooms and to the need to rapidly "undo" much of that work once the installation team arrived on the actual project day and the error was identified. Thankfully I had planned to be present for the entire 2 days of the project, so was able to reverse the preparation.

The work involved installing foam insulation to the upper rim of the basement walls, blowing in insulation into the wall of my living room ( the install team also realized that the other walls had been filled in the past and did not need additional insulation)
and adding additional blown in insulation to the attic space, which was not covered under the Mass save program but recommended to bring my then 6 inch layer of attic insulation up to current code.

I was very appreciative of the hard work done by the installation crew lead, Nathan. He was very experienced and knowledgeable, and was polite and patient in identifying and working through the last minute changes to the work plan. The entire crew were polite, respectful and friendly, worked diligently, and even finished the job several hours ahead of schedule. They were careful to put up plastic screens which very effectively minimized the spread of drywall dust in the living room. My only suggestion for improvement would have been for a similar plastic screen around the attic access in my son's bedroom, as that become covered in a heavy layer of dust that took some work to clean up.

Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and price of the work that was done, and I can already feel a major difference in temperature in several areas of the house that are sure to result in meaningful cost savings going forward. I would recommend the Mass Save program and HomeWorks, and am grateful to Nathan and his crew for a job well and carefully done. Thank you, and God Bless!

This place is a scam! I paid them what they asked months ago, and then they told me I owed money. I paid them again, and I keep getting bills from them. Beware!

Hector at Homeworks Energy showed up on time, explained the work he was doing, and had me look it over after he was done. We were pleased with his work.

I received a letter in the mail last month, claiming to be from Mayor Sarno. It talks about what HomeWorks Energy can do for homeowners and gave their website info. I looked them up and seemed like a real company, so I booked a home energy assessment online. They were scheduled to show TODAY between 8:00am-9:00am, which I confirmed via text on Friday. It is now 10:26am and no one has shown up or called/text me. Around 9:50am, a black Nissan Altima pulls up in front of my house. The driver doesn’t get out, stays in the car for about 5/6 minutes, then drives off while staring at my house. I called the number sent to me on the confirmation text, pressed the corresponding number for that department, and some guy picked up the phone, mumbled something and hung up. The no-show combined with the random car posted at my house and the hang up, make me believe that this was a scam to case out my house. I DO NOT recommend this place. I will wait for Spfld Partners to contact me for THEIR assessment which I know is 100% legit.

This place is a joke!! Had a appointment that I scheduled two months ago, for 03/17/25. Got all the messages confirming the appointment. Now two days before appointment get a message from a Samantha claiming that they canceled my appointment due to program limitations. Bullshit. Now I have try an get another appointment through somewhere else. Can't even talk to a real person at this place.

I had a great experience with Homeworks. The representative who came to the house was very knowledgeable and friendly. My attic insulation was seriously lacking. The price will be about 1/10 of what I would have paid. They are also sealing air leaks in the basement.

Very Disrespectful, Unprofessional, and Irresponsible

We have been in limbo for about three months dealing with damages and unfinished work. The first company was supposed to vacuum vermiculite from the attic, but after they left, there was a lot of it left behind. It kept falling into the house through fans and vents.

The second company, who came to install new insulation, told me there was still a lot of vermiculite left, but instead of contacting the first company, they just covered it with new insulation. While doing so, they stepped on a ceiling light and pushed it down into our dining room, cut wires, and now we have no electricity in some parts of the house.

Shortly after they finished, we realized the central AC was not working properly. When I checked the attic, I discovered they had smashed, bent, and crushed the AC pipes. For more than a month, we've been suffering in extreme heat, and the attic is still full of loose fiberglass they left behind. Nothing is up to code.

They have been promising since July 1st to come back and fix everything, but nobody has shown up. They even told me I should be happy because the work was “free.” I have no words.

Please do not allow these people into your home. The work they did is a health hazard, a huge waste of time and money, and we've even experienced discrimination. I strongly urge others to stay away.

Stephen Bethune and his two person crew did a competent and skilled installation of insulation in our attic, basement and knee wall. The site was left spotless. We are looking forward to using less energy to heat this winter

I had insulation done today by Mike O. and tech, Matt S. They were both very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They did a great job on the installation! I was very pleased with the result!

Jayden & Roberto, did great work installing attic insulation and sealing the basement. They both were respectful, polite , and cleaned up the work area after completed. They did not get frustrated with putting a very tricky wooden attic entry back on.

Scheduled an assessment months ago. Today’s the day. 8-9am. I just got the call at 8:55am, they’re not coming. Got the absolute worst excuse (aaa) to completely cancel my appointment.

I closed my business today to meet this obligation. Lost hundreds of dollars, if not thousands.

Their solution? Close my business again next week and hope they show up. I declined. I don’t think I feel confident or comfortable enough to allow these people into my home anymore and I will find a Different home energy assessment company.

We had the best experience with the crew from homeworks energy, especially Matthew Sullivan. The team arrived on time, and were courteous and professional. They all worked so hard and explained everything along the way. At the end of a 10 hour day they left our home, garage and yard tidy with the job complete. Great job!!

Michael,Jack and David could not have been better, more thorough, thoughtful and friendly… we were very pleased with their work and would recommend them enthusiastically.

Unfortunately, they do not train their agents well - they were misinformed about rebates or just trying to sell me services - I scheduled a home energy audit, and they never showed up. I would go with CleaResult instead. I used them previously and found them to be knowledgeable and professional.
