DaCosta Builders recently completed an indoor home alteration project for me. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the carpentry and electrical work were exceptional. Not only was the job done exceedingly well, but the pricing was also competitive, which I appreciated after reviewing several other companies. All 5 stars and big shoutout to the team.
Clistanis, the project manager, deserves special recognition for his professionalism. He is prompt in his responses and readily available to address inquiries, even on weekends. This level of his service truly sets them apart.
Should I require further assistance in the future, I will not hesitate to reach out to this team again. Their dedication and expertise have earned my trust and a high recommendation. If we could give DaCosta Builders 10 stars, we would. We have used this company twice and each time, the workmanship was outstanding. DaCosta Builders expertly installed the beadboard in our hallway walls and the moldings around our kitchen sliding doors -- completely transforming both rooms. We were particularly impressed with their carpentry, professionalism, strong work ethic, and their attention to the smallest details. I had a small but unorthodox job that turned out great. Klistenes was responsive and accommodating throughout the process. The whole team was pleasant to work with and very capable. I look forward to having DaCosta helping me with my next job.

If you’re still thinking about whether to hire the DaCosta team to push your home improvement projects across the finish line, then think no more! They just completed two big projects in the past month for me, at a house I just bought. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

First, they completely redid the flooring throughout the house—refinished the hardwood floors downstairs, ripped up the carpets on the stairs & upstairs, and installed hardwoods to replace all the carpets. Next up was the painting—they completely repainted the interior of the house. Seriously, it all looks a million dollars. It’s hard to recognize it as the same house.

The two different teams were brilliant. They were so hard working and really nice guys. And both teams produced beautiful results. But I think one of the best points about using the DaCosta team is the customer service. Klistenes is amazing—I don’t think he sleeps much, because he always makes time to respond very quickly to messages or calls, regardless of the time. And when I was looking for quotes before I finally chose a contractor, he came out on a Sunday, within 24 hours of speaking to me. And he makes himself available to respond to any questions you might have when the work is underway and when it’s finished.

He’s a super-nice guy. I’m so glad I found him and his team! And I can’t wait to have them back again when I’m ready for my next project.

They did good work on our deck but surprised us at the end with a bill that was over $1k more than we agreed to. I understand a reasonable overage on materials but they estimated $2k for materials and the actual bill was $3k, so they were off by 50%. In my opinion this is something they needed to bring up right away but instead they finished the job, then came to me afterwards and insisted this was standard practice. In my 30 years of hiring contractors I’ve never had one come to me after the fact and expect me to pay 50% more than we agreed.

So while the work was good, I couldn’t recommend using them if you want to know your total cost before you start the project.

Scheduled a meet up and quote last week. No show, no call. Had to call him after the fact. Poor communication. Will find someone else to do the job.
