Electrical reviews in Stoneham, Massachusetts

I've worked with Jeff and the JMR team many times over the past few years, and the crew is great! It is always a great experience; the team is always happy to help in a pinch, always having a great eye for detail, and providing recommendations when needed! They are always responsive too.

I love having the opportunity to work with them on projects.

Amazing experience working with JMR Electric. From start to finish they did an unbelievable job and I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Thank you so much!

Ed Costa reached out almost immediately, was able to get something scheduled quickly. Their master electrician, Guy, came out with an assistant, they were on time, professional, knowledgeable, and kept me updated as to what they did or would be doing. I highly recommend them.

Guy and the team worked effectively and transparently to add the new circuit to my basement. It was nice to have everything be up front and transparent and to know what to expect. I recommend working with them

Two professional, hardworking young men arrived at my house promptly, insisted on taking off their salty icy boots to not track it through the house, and then worked collaboratively and methodically to solve my problem. They even explained what was wrong and answered my superfluous questions kindly. JMR Electric should be proud.

So happy I got to work with Ed and his team. Communicative. Thorough. Courteous. And this was all before the team arrived at my home. The chandelier looks amazing. They gave amazing suggestions on which types of bulbs I needed to set the best mood for the dining area and even went to get the correct bulbs. To top it off, one of the electricians suggested that a dimmer might be even more what I'm looking for to have more even more control, went to his truck, found a dimmer switch that matched the decor, and installed it. It was that extra step to make sure that I got my home to look the way I wanted it to that makes me happy to recommend JMR. They cared about the work, and took pride in it, but they cared equally about what it is that I was going for.

I hired JMR recently to electrify my detached garage and shed. JMR was very prompt in their communication and provided the estimate quickly after viewing the site. Their pricing was very reasonable and they were able to schedule me in quickly.

The project required a large trench to pipe the electrical from the basement and a subpanel in the garage. The crew was very respectful and discussed the setup, wiring and outlet placement decisions with me thoroughly before proceeding with any execution. They were able to place the wiring and piping in discrete locations to minimize the visual cutter and brought over sufficient power for a future EV charger. Jeff (the owner) also stepped in personally to help with the job when some of the crew were out sick in order to keep the project on track. The inspection was completed successfully soon after project execution. I really appreciated the level of service and care from the JMR team and will be calling them back for future electrical needs.

We've used JMR Electric for multiple projects around our house and they've been fantastic every time.

Guy has done all our work from fence lighting installation, fixing indoor lighting throughout the house, outdoor camera installation, and repairing all our outdoor outlets.

What sets them apart is how they operate. They're fast to respond and schedule, the quality of work is excellent, and they always walk us through different options and recommendations before starting anything. No surprises, just clear communication and great results.

We're big fans of Ed and his entire team. We will keep calling them for any electrical work we need.

Castro Electric was responsive and reasonably priced. Their electricians were polite and professional. I would hire them again.

Had a short in one of the circuits close to the garage. Rene was incredibly prompt, arrived right on time, and was able to troubleshoot and fix the issue quickly and efficiently. A great team to work with! They showed up on schedule and did the work quickly and efficiently. They ensured I had no questions or other issues to be addressed. Very professional and friendly, I would highly recommend them.

We had Castro Electric install 2 floor outlets, 2 additional outlets in the basement and 6 ceiling lights in our new home. Rene's team was very professional and efficient and were careful to leave the house as clean as when they arrived. The floor outlets were located perfectly and look like they were part of the original construction. All the work was completed on time and on budget. I will definitely use them again when I need electrical work.

Exceptional! Rene and his colleague did an awesome job. They were clean, speedy, and quiet as possible. We have a baby so they were able to work quietly while our baby napped right on top of where they were. They were precise and explained everything thoroughly. They kept the area cleaned and cleaned up after too. The living room, basement and garage was done in half a day. Excellent! Can’t recommend Castro Electric Corp enough! Thank you for an amazing job!!!

Rene recently completed a main panel replacement and re-feed on one of my projects, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, Rene maintained excellent communication, explained to me step by step of what was going on, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The job site was left clean and organized, which speaks to his professionalism and attention to detail. Pricing was very fair, and above all, he made me feel confidence about the whole job. Highly recommend Rene for any electrical work — reliable, efficient, and professional.

Great experience with Rene, he was quick to respond and was flexible with my schedule and did the job within a few days, but best of all he is honest and very professional. He will be my go to guy for all my electric needs.
