Envirovantage helped us with mold remediation in our basement and attic. We started with our basement, then had to do our attic. One of the workers kindly shimmied up into the attic to do a preliminary assessment of the damage. For both jobs we worked with Scott Shields, who came out on time and gave us an estimate of the work. He was very reasonable, quoting us an affordable rate, but enough to get the job done, fully remediate, and perform quality work.

A number of years ago we had EnviroVantage treat a mold issue in our attic. Recently, we discovered the mold had recurred, so we gave EnviroVantage a call to see if they could do something for us-- with the expectation that there would likely be a cost involved due to the time that had passed. Chris promptly returned our call and even came to the house twice to review the problem. He felt that our work qualified for a warranty repair, and told us that someone would be in touch with us to schedule a team to resolve. We assumed we would need to chase them down to get help, but we were wrong! Chris and the remediation teams were both fantastic in keeping their word as well as providing a thorough repair. The crews also were extremely conscientious in keeping the odor to a minimum and mess completely cleaned when they left. We would definitely recommend EnviroVantage.

We had asbestos tile removal completed by EnviroVantage and they were great to work with. They reviewed the project and gave us the quote within 2 days of contacting them. The job was done on time and as described. The safety protocol we perfect and I feel great knowing EnviroVantage did the job. 10/10, would recommend!

The mold issue was never resolved. Despite the cost, disruption, and time involved, the underlying problem remained.

The remediation work itself was disappointing. While the initial evaluation may give the impression of competence, the crews sent to perform the job lacked experience, were often late, and did not act professionally. Basic mold safety practices—especially proper containment—were not followed, which is unacceptable for this type of work.

If you’re dealing with mold, you know how serious and life-altering it can be. This is not a company I would trust to fix the problem. I strongly suggest looking for another contractor.

The technician arrived on time, immediately put on over shoe booties, and began assessing my HVAC. He presented a written estimate, options, and a detailed explanation before proceeding. Had accutemp install a combined modulating/condensing boiler and hot water service, as well as Ecobee 'smart' internet-enabled thermostats for complex system (7 zones of heat; 5 zones AC) and they did a fabulous job. Price was competitive, workers were always on-time, work was completed very professionally, they explained everything, left the house spotless, and meticulously labelled everything, including legacy components (e.g. circulators) from prior system. Can't recommend Matt and his team too highly

My wife and I are glad that we chose to work with Accutemp, and in particular, their residential manager, Matt, for our HVAC installation. Matt was extremely responsive, clear, and upfront during the entire process, from the planning phase, to post-installation questions. We have already recommended Matt and Accutemp to several of our friends, including our neighbors past and present.

With regard to the particular project we worked with Accutemp on, my wife and I bought a house in Newton built in the 1800s that didn't have any air conditioning. We had gotten multiple estimates and met with a number of contractors to discuss the project, as the age of the house and the unique interior layout and design made it a very challenging job.

We ended up having a ductless mini-split heat pump system installed (provides both heat and AC). Matt and Accutemp not only gave us the most competitive bid in terms of financials, but there's was also the only bid to include the installation of a sixth indoor air handling unit. Every other contractor we met with insisted that five would be sufficient. Having now lived through some 90+ degree days, we can definitively say that the sixth unit is essential to keeping the whole house cool and comfortable.

On the initial date of HVAC install, Matt and his team arrived at our home to find that my electrician (who had to do major work preceding the HVAC install) had not stuck to his original stated plan, completely throwing off Accutemp's plans. In less than thirty minutes, Matt spoke with the electrician, discussed the available options with me, and formulated an alternative, the results of which we were equally happy with.

Matt also came out and reviewed the functioning of our boiler, along with recommended repair/replacement options and the cost of each option. Ultimately, we decided not to replace the boiler, but we have a better sense of how and when to approach doing so after meeting with him and discussing it.

Finding reliable contractors in any field can be difficult, and in particular with HVAC, we had less-than stellar service in the past in the Boston area. We are happy to have found Accutemp and Matt, and look forward to working with them in the future on all of our HVAC needs.

We recently added a small addition to our house so an existing a/c duct had to be removed and new ducts added. The Accutemp team was both professional and very helpful. Excellent service and great installation.

My central air stopped working mid-day on the 4th. Called Accutemp the 9:30am the 5th, and Damon Fish was able to come to my place by 12:45pm. Within 1 hour he was able to diagnose and repair the major problem (blown capacitor - I now have functional AC!!!), identify a second less critical issue (to be repaired next week), and process my payment. I'm a bit suspicious when I see so many positive reviews of a place, but my first hand experience suggests these are well deserved. Thanks again for the awesome service!!

Accutemp Engineering has been servicing this luxury condominium community for over twelve years and has provided exceptional service both in Preventive Maintenance, emergency service and installation of complex slat fin units both in common area and owners units.

They service the roof top chiller and all of the distribution piping throughout the development . The technicians are well trained and very professional when dealing with the condominium owners.

This property has had ongoing issues with the dual temperature system which Accutemp spent countless hours in researching building plans and balancing the water distribution which I am happy to say is now working properly and unit owners are very happy that they no longer have maintenance staff entering their units all of the time to purge the system.

DONT do business with this company. This company is not responsible and over charge. The company replaced my HVAC fan but at the same broke the AC system by turning on heating in summer time accidentally. I waited for 3 months without any AC in the summer and paid ~$3000 for a broken system. They refused to fix it within warranty after 4 months and asked for additional 12k to replace the entire system now. The manager threatened us to put the broken part back in our system if we don't want to continue use their services.
We didn't ask for a free replacement. We just need them to fix the leaks they already detected. We are upset because we are not treated equally as this company claimed how they handle cases with their other customers.
We don't want to be threaten again. So good luck to your business!

The company suggested to replace the system instead of fixing the leaks they detected, which is not reasonable coz we are living in a 15 years old byilding and very rare ppl has HVAC issue. Their strategy was to make things more seriously so that they have an excuse to not fix it in warranty. This is my personal experience with this company. I hope it will help others or at least give ppl a heads up.

Service rep Marvin and Tommy were courteous and professional. All the maintenance was performed on time and as expected. We appreciate their attentiveness checking out the inside and outside units.
