I booked ARS for a winter heating tune up service and was scheduled for Dec 12th. I get a call on Dec 12 and they postponed my appointment to Dec 29th due to shortage of technicians.
On Dec 29th I get another call that they want to postpone it again to Jan last week for the very same reason - "Shortage of technicians". At this point it wasn't making any sense to wait till end of January to get my heating unit tuned up.

Will never recommend them to anyone or use their services ever.

The ARS technician was friendly, yet totally professional in troubleshooting my HVAC problem. He came prepared and with camera to document my system's problem areas. He went over the results and recommendations twice with me to be sure I understood his recommendations.

The employees were professional except for the plumber. He came in my house through the basement without talking to me and start pulling my insulation from the chimney.
Management from another state gave me an installation date without telling the Boston teams their plans.
It was chaotic. They were disorganized with the schedule and the lender. I thought it was a scam because the day that they had to install they didn't show. I called the Boston office, they told me that I didn't have an appointment on their schedule. Then I call the lender they told me that they don't have any paperwork on me. What had happened the folder was on someone's desk and they didn't type it on the computer.
That was very unprofessional and I am not happy

On Christmas Day my old furnace failed. After a couple of calls I ended up on Home Depot who sent ARS. Team was professional and dedicated from the very beginning. It was big job. They delivered! Highly recommend!

    Tech Robert did a great
Job, tuning up my A/C he called ahead, he showed up on time, he wore company uniform with company logos, I highly recommend ARS
By the way i never saw prices so low.

The installation was good, there is no complaints. The scheduling was a horrible experience. I was rescheduled numerous times with no shows. If the scheduling experience was less hectic, overall the rating would be better. However because the confusion with scheduling, the process took over a little 2 weeks. Resulting in me not having no hot water. The inspection was swift and stressless.

I tried using ARS twice for HVAC needs, the 1st time they left me a voicemail canceling my same day appointment. A week later I called to book a tune up, explained I have an oil system, appt was cancelled during my wait time for my appt. The person who called me said they don't take new oil customers and service equipment over 10yrs old. I would have like proper communication about all this instead of me wasting time waiting.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with your service. I have attempted to have my heating system maintained since October, but after three rescheduled appointments, no work has been performed.

The first technician failed to find my home due to an address error and left without ringing the bell. Following two more months of delays and no-shows, I was finally told—mid-way through my third scheduled service window—that your company does not even service my area. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for a customer's time is unacceptable.

Tech was on time and nice and polite. However,
the price of a heating zone replacement valve was astronomical!! ($320.00). Especially since
ARS was just here 2 weeks ago as I had no heat
    and I paid $549.00!!! Outrageous! 😩😩

First off I would like to thank ARS for sending out to experience Older gentlemen, I do not wish to. I have bad feelings about ARS however, the crew that was sent out did not complete the job. they had informed me they had to wait for the automatic waterfall chasing system, which was sitting right there they never installed it on top of that. They did not explain to me that I would have to pull a lever to release new water into the system until the water filtration Mechanism was installed, which was there they just did not install it

Have been with ARS for at least 20 yrs. The people have been great with few exceptions. Christopher, our technician today, did a terrific job. He came on time, was very polite, and did his job quickly and professionally.

Great, expedited service from ARS to replace our failing water heater. The technicians were extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

I can’t speak to the quality of their work, but communication and service are lacking. I scheduled an appointment to get a quote on a heat pump water heater installation. I was given a 4 hour window. The day before the appointment I got a call saying that they needed to reschedule the appointment as the technician wasn’t available. The appointment was rescheduled for the Monday after which wasn’t a problem for me. Monday morning I got a call and was told that the technician could not make it, and they would call me to reschedule. After waiting 24 hours with out getting a call back I called ARS and got an apology and the customer service representative asked me if I would like to have a technician stop by this afternoon between 12-4 to get the evaluation and quote. I agreed and have been home all day waiting on ARS. It’s now 4:15 - no call, no visit, no email, etc.

I can only imagine the angst that you would have if you actually needed service from ARS. The first step to providing good service is to show up. To the owner, please don’t post your normal reply about how you strive to provide good service and ask me, the customer, to call your Quality Assurance Manager. That’s your job. Sorry, but three strikes and you are out.

Following an 18+” snowstorm, the technician arrived for the second gas furnace checkup wearing his steel toed sneakers, assuming this basement could be entered through the antique house in- law apartment, rather than outside, having yo come into contact with the recently fallen snow. This is New England in Winter. Either your office should get information about access or your technicians should have appropriate winter gear with them. The technician left without having done the inspection.

Was scheduled for an 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon slot for Monday. Monday came and I received a call shortly after 8:00 a.m. to be told that my appointment needed to be pushed back until 2:00 p.m. due to a number of emergencies that they had incurred (isn't that nice? I guess it didn't matter that I had no hot water), so I agreed, what else could I do?. The end result, no later appointment, just a no whow and not even a follow-up call. I had to call back the company the next morning just to be told that someone else will call me back... what a waste of time 😖

ARS did a fantastic job. Brittany was courteous and confirmed the appointment. Cole arrived on time, performed the furnace tune-up, and provided excellent customer service.

I am extremely disappointed with ARS Heating. I experienced three no-call, no-shows, along with one rescheduled appointment, and still never received service. Their appointment window is 4 hours, and they repeatedly failed to show up or communicate in any meaningful way.

This company clearly does not value customers’ time. Taking time off, rearranging schedules, and waiting through long service windows only to be ignored is unacceptable. If something comes up, a phone call or even a basic courtesy notification would go a long way—but that did not happen here.

Reliability and communication are essential for any service company, and unfortunately ARS Heating failed on both. I would not recommend them based on this experience.

Quick to sell and sign. Was sold based on being told not needing a new electrical panel to be told on install day, need a new panel. ARS never called to provide quote while their electrician was here waiting to proceed. Had to call to have another appointment for a start up. Technician called out sick. Then was a NO show for the make up appt. (after ARS repeatedly sending texts, emails of appt reminder.) Finally had to call was told a manager was in an interview and would call. No call from manager. FINALLY left message for salesman and someone showed up to do startup. GUESS WHAT installed the panels incorrectly not allowing vent to.swing.
I was told I would get a credit for not using electrician, and 1st appt issue. Hasn't processed. I haven't recieved a follow up satisfaction call from salesman or company , I thought I checked them out enough.. just beware.

My tech was so good! He totally helped me understand my furnace and heating and air conditioning system. He showed me that I had filters that I need to clean in my mini split. Thank you!

Very accommodating to having to reschedule to due blizzard of 2026. Came home after 72 hours no power. System needed to be flushed they came out that day to due the tune up and take care of the light.

I took advantage of a promotion ARS was offering in mid April to come to my condo for a routine tune up of my furnace and AC. From the second the plumber walked through my door, he was trying to sell me something. First, he said the quality of my air was awful, and I needed an air scrubber. Then he recommended I purchase their annual tune-up service/subscription where I get priority service and discounts on the parts he was trying to sell me. We then went out to my Air Conditioning unit. He said he was not allowed to touch it because it was out of code and against environmental standards. He recommended I purchase a new unit. When I asked how much, he said he'd need to get a sales professional out to give me a quote. That was after he had tried to sell me three different things...

This week, with the temperatures rising, I turned on my air conditioning. Except there was a problem: It would not turn on. After trying to troubleshoot by changing the batteries in my thermostat and switching off and on the fuses, I finally called an HVAC professional recommended by a friend.

The plumber walked in, looked at my furnace, laughed, and turned on the switch. He said most likely it was left off so I would have to call back and be charged for another ARS service call. He also tested my air quality and said it was fine. Lastly, even though my AC unit might be out of code. I am still grandfathered in on maintenance and other services that are needed.

Long story short, as a new home buyer (less than 1 year) I will never utilize ARS services again and would not recommend it to any friends or family members. All they are trying to do is sell you their products and services. Clearly, they do not care about delivering a great customer experience or consider doing what is best for the customers. Or I guess former customers....
