Our system on our new home works well, but needed balancing. Made an appointment a week out, took out of work and they never showed up, didn’t even get a courtesy call so I called them and they said the tech had something personal so couldn’t make it. I asked why they didn’t call to let me know after waiting around for 2 hours and no excuse. I took day out of work for nothing. So, I reschedule for the following week and they pull the same exact thing!! The guy doesn’t show up and no call so I call them and again the only tech they seem to have has personal stuff going on. No respect for other people’s time or schedule. Awful.

If you have more money and don't know what to do, you could either throw it away, burn it or use Franks! one of the worst install job ever and when then of course they don't stand by you when there is a repair. My HVAC was installed by them and then it had numerous issues. It was still under warranty and then they refused to honor it. There was even a factory recall of the units and when I enquired they just basically refused to honor it or give any information! When called in and sked to speak to the manager they refused to either connect or give out any details.
You are far better off in hiring some one who is far better in terms of workmanship and service than Franks! Absolutely shoddy to say the least!!!!!! -
I called for a furnace repair - furnace is not blowing hot air for 2+ days. Happened to fall over New Years Eve - really bad timing. This company is physically 800 feet from my residence. The dispatcher was short and rude. Said they wouldn't be taking on any new customers. Great local company right? I went out to the gas station on Woburn St to get some coffee to keep me warm while i call more companies for the repair, and voila - two Franks trucks with their folks just sitting around. Rude, loud, obnoxious louts. Buyer beware - these folks are nasty people.

Frank's heating was the contractor used for all HVAC installation in our community. Shoddy workmanship and installation caused the exhaust flue to sag and collect water blocking the flue pipe in a finished basement ceiling that needs to be ripped up to add more hangers and re-pitch the pipes causing major disruption.

My central ac unit stopped working last week and I called Frank’s to come out for a $145 diagnosis. Rick arrived Monday afternoon and “checked” everything while I was at work and my daughter was home to let him in. He concluded it was the capacitor and he has already changed it as I arrived home for payment. He charged $534 and the temperature in the house went down to 81 degrees, Rick told me to wait a hour it would be all set. After a hour, the temperature went back up to 84 degrees. I called the company and Rick came back, frustrated that it wasn’t working and then diagnosed it again as the problem being the condensation pump. He wanted to charge me another $615 for the condensation pump. I asked as to how he misdiagnosed it the first time and he told me as to how this business works. The temperature went down when degree when he first came so he did solve the problem. I was extremely frustrated and told him I didn’t want to proceed with this companies services. I called the next morning to speak to the manager and he told me I was lucky that Rick was kind enough to deduct the $145 diagnosis fee from the $534 price and he can take $150 off the $615 price for the condensation pump. How did an expert employee misdiagnosed the problem? Avoid the headache and taking advantage of… DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We used Franks Heating Service to repair our broken central air conditioner. We had the condenser replaced and was told that we also needed a new coil replaced but not a new air handler. This was back in November, and apparently the system was never tested, because when we turned it on this summer, nothing worked. We had to have an electrician come out since it appeared that the circuit breaker fuse was broken. It turned out that the fan unit has seized up and the technician from Frank’s heating service had never even checked it, so the whole unit was inoperable. I had them come out again and told me I needed a new furnace and not an air handler since they had already put a coil in. I was suspicious at this point and had another company check it, and Fallyn they didn’t even connect the coil previously installed correctly to the drain. In addition if they had initially checked the system and diagnose the problem correctly, I wouldn’t have to have replaced the entire air handler. They refused to help in anyway. I would run away from this company as fast as you could. They are scammers and crooks, and not to be trusted!

I was told that the technician would show up from 9-11. 11am arrives and the tech is still not here. Finally, shows up at 11:30 am (no apology) and I ask if he can relay his findings to owner/operator over the phone. He blatantly tells me “no.” Very unprofessional and would not recommend to others.

Tried to charge me $1,900 for a $500 gas valve (I should have warned Howard I have access to the Internet). I said no and got another contractor - and turns out they were even wrong about the gas valve they wanted to over charge me for. RUN.
