Reviews of local pros in Wakefield, Massachusetts

Just had Jamie from Velvet Green aerate and overseed my lawn-boom, done! Super professional, in and out, and my lawn is going to look great. Highly recommend!

Jamie did a great job !
He paid special attention to areas of concern we discussed beforehand, both with the Aeration and some hand seeding of problem areas,
Would be glad to see him next season.

Thanks for the aeration, overseeing and top dressing service, the whole service is quick and professional. Especially thanks for Jaime giving very helpful suggestions for our lawn watering.

I couldn't be happier with the service provided by Velvet Green Organic Lawn Care! From start to finish, their team demonstrated exceptional quality of service and responsiveness. They were always quick to answer any questions I had and provided detailed explanations about their organic lawn care methods.

The results speak for themselves—my lawn has never looked better! It's incredibly lush and green, a true testament to the effectiveness of their treatments. Not only did they transform my yard, but they did so at a very reasonable price. I appreciate their commitment to responsible pricing without compromising on quality.

Kane answered my outstanding question during his service sufficiently. I have full confidence in Velvet Green doing an efficient and thorough job.

James and his team aerated and overseeded my lawn. They were very efficient and did a great job of covering the entire area and didn’t scrimp on the seed which I appreciate. He was also very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. This application was a good value for the money.

Just did the fall aeration, seeding, and compost top soil service and everything was great. Knowledgeable crew and answered all my questions. Planning on signing up for the lawn care service this spring

Jamie arrived on time. Very polite and professional. Did a nice job, along with his assistant. Will utilize your services next year.

I wanted to update my review from last time. I have included a picture of the front lawn as well. This is my grass in July of 2024 even after the 2 weeks of 100 degree heat we had. I couldn't be happier with the results and I have recommended Velvet Green to everyone who has asked how I do it.

My lawn has never looked better! I started with Velvet green a few years ago and my yard needed help. They started with a soil sample and over the last few seasons my lawn has been as healthy as I have ever seen it. It is drought resistant and thick all summer. I love the fact my dog can go out in the yard right after applications without fear of her getting sick from harsh chemicals. The service crew is second to none and when I have a question they are prompt with a response. I would recommend Velvet Green to everyone looking to improve their lawn.

Service was great! The guys were conscientious and walked the property with me as I pointed out where an invisible fence was laid out. When they were done, they even asked me to check power to fencing inside our house to be they didn’t break the wire.

I just signed up with Velvet Green for their lawn care service. The sign up process was easy and communication has been great. They came for the initial service of a Lyme application and soil sampling. It is way too early to measure results but so far so good.

Jaime was prompt and polite. He explained what they were going to do. One truck did the aeration a pond seeding, and a second truck was coming with the organic top dressing. They even used a leaf blower to clear those off my grass. Very satisfied with the job.

This past year we began the process of renovating our backyard which was severely overgrown with rock, poison ivy, and other weeds. Organic Lawn care was very important to us as our growing family will be using this area constantly and we would like to minimize exposure to harmful chemicals and pesticides. The Velvet Green team was absolutely fantastic to work with in regard to educating us on the program, weighing the pro's and con's of different methods, and ultimately delivering fantastic service. The Velvet Green team completed the initial installation of a new lawn last fall and complemented that with aeration, overseeding, and top dressing this spring. The grass looked fantastic after the initial installation, but after the overseeding about a week and a half ago, our lawn is amazingly full and green. We have been receiving complements from our neighbors constantly, and we cannot wait to mow it once the overseeding has fully grown.

I would absolutely recommend the Velvet Green team for their knowledge, organic services, attention to detail, and fantastic customer service.

Jaime and his team did an excellent job in servicing my lawn. I purchased the aeration, overseeing, top dressing service. Jaime answered my questions, was very professional and went over and above to make sure my questions and concerns were addressed!

Soil Test and Winter Guard.

Nick provided a detailed analysis of the lawn and foliage shrubs and offered helpful suggestions of daily care practices that could make a difference very professional and highly knowledgeable. I am impressed.

Velvet Green has exceeded every expectation in our first spring of being a customer! Their office and field staff are courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. What a difference 12 months makes (photos)

This is the first year that we have used Velvet Green for our lawn. The results were amazing. Then large patches of the lawn turned brown. Mike came by to check it out and pulled out all the stops to bring back the lush appearance that we were looking to achieve. Fortunately, with some extra TLC, our lawn is now a big part of our incredible curb appeal.

Their customer service is sensational and they are committed to satisfying their customers.

I recommend Velvet Green to anyone who is seeking a partner in their lawn care!

Velvet Green treats my lawn with organic products, which I love. My technician, Patty, does a great job and always answers any questions that I have. She is prompt and makes sure my entire lawn is treated. Highly recommend!

Patty has been servicing my yard for the past couple of years and does a tremendous job. She’s prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and is always available for questions and suggestions. I appreciate Patty’s hard work and her genuine care for my lawn.

I've been working with Velvet Green for a few years now. They do an excellent job maintaining my lawn. The grass is thick, dark green, and mostly weed free. Using only organic materials gives me peace of mind. They're not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
