Had a tenant leave an apartment, but left many of their belongings behind. Had crm move everything and they did everything as requested. Erik and Luis were very helpful on the phone.

The actual movers (especially Fell, hope I spelled that right) were good and deserved the fee for their work BUT the office sent them early by 40 minutes and charged me for it... Watch out that you are available well before they say they are coming or you'll be paying extra for nothing too. I even called the office and tried to explain what was happening and the guy on the phone didn't listen and played ignorant.

These guys did a great job. Good communication, careful movers, packed things well. You do have to ask for what you need -- if you need them to pack things (pictures, mirrors, lamps) but they did a great job. Strong workers.

These guys are amazing. I moved a few days ago and the guys that came to my house did an awesome job and they were very thorough. Thank you so much for all of your help!!!

My table was damaged when it was moved. Eric took responsibility and had it refinished by a pro. I actually like it better now. Eric is a honorable man who represents his company well. Thanks

The men who did the actual moving were very nice.
However, they lost one of our boxes and also tried to deliver some one else's furniture to us. The response to these mistakes was to not return my calls and I have not been reimbursed for the items they lost. I would not recommend them.

Solid company, great guys. I have used them at least 4 times in 5 years. Prompt, careful, and priced adequately. Competitive business but I found the company I'll use every time. Every experience has been a good one. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about working with these guys. We used them twice, once for an apartment move, and then when we moved to our house. They were on time, professional, and efficient. I do wish I had known that I could have paid by credit card in the end rather than cash, but that was so minor compared to the awesome job they did, I wouldn't take a star off.

Absolutely five star work. They were efficient, friendly, accommodating, good humored--and on the busiest moving day of the year in Boston, too boot. The overnight storage was also very helpful for my move across the city. I highly recommend Charles River Movers!

We had a difficult move, despite the fact that it was a very short distance. The elevator at our new location is like one of the smallest and slowest in Boston. Nonetheless, the big things, such as desks, Conference Room table, filing cabinets all made it up to our 4th floor accommodations. Friendly guys, careful with our stuff. It was Labor Day Weekend, so finding a mover was difficult, but everything happens for a reason, I guess. Very satisfied and happy to recommend Charles River Movers.

Great company Great price Great guys! Had to move my mother & shes quite the collector. Had lots of boxes. But the guys moved her in less than 5 hours.Which would have taken me all day. Once I put in an inquiry at the office they called often to check up on me which I appreciated. Will use again in the future if needed. Thanks guys!

Charles River Movers did a small move for me in June 2016. They gave me a fair price, and the staff members were courteous and followed up with me quickly. The movers were on time, very nice and hard-working. I recommend them without hesitation!

This is the second time I have used CRM to help me move my son. Any time I have called, I've reached an actual person, not a recording. Anyone that I have spoken to has been very personable and helpful. Scheduling the moves was quick and easy. On the appointed days, the men showed up on time and went to work quickly and efficiently. The first move was from a fourth floor walk up on a hot day. The guys did it all without complaint.(I complained and whined a lot, I was hot and miserable). The move went smoothly. The second move had a couple of stops, pick-ups and drop-offs. Again, all done seamlessly, by awesome guys. Everything arrived in the same condition that it was picked up in. On the second move, some things went to a storage unit. The guys took the time to pack the space so efficiently for us that we actually had some extra room. Very impressive. Great guys, awesome service and a good price. I absolutely recommend Charles River Movers and will definitely call them any time I need a mover.

Having to move after being in my home for 18 years was a very stressful time in my life. Having only a months notice to move my whole family and trying to work and find a new home was just overwhelming for all of us. I called Charles River Moving Company, They were very caring and understanding and new what we were up against and said not to worry that's what we are here for. Within 2 days Eric said what is a good time for ME to come over to your house and see what we are up against. He gave me a quote and date problem solved. I did not Evan have to take time of from work.They came to my house and packed it all up as if it was their own personal belongings 18 years of furniture 4 bedroom house, Furniture dining room ,cloths toys ETC. And a full basement,Attic, Garage. Very professional. They arrived right on time and my wife being there said they were like machines going threw the house non stop. I got out of work at 5pm at night I went home to my new house and when I walked in I could not believe my Eyes it was as if I never moved. We got an estimate for $650 they ended up charging over $1000 and damaged multiple items. They took very long to pack the truck and I really don't think they were trying to be quick nor efficient.

Update: they asked me to call them on their response to my review (which they have since deleted). So I called, the owner (I think, idk who he was and don't care) was extremely rude and also lied and said he overheard the whole conversation between my bf and the guy who booked us, he said my bf said we had more stuff than we first listed, which he did not said. First of all, when we were finding quotes by phone they got us with a good deal that is not real, however they wrote down on the paperwork a much higher estimate and said not to worry that it won't get to that length, but it did. So yeah, horrible company

We hired Charles River Movers to move a piano because they assured me they were experienced moving pianos and had insurance in case of damage. Damage occurred, including a large crack in the piano fallboard, during the move resulting in over $600 worth of damage. The repair person said that type of damage is a result in incorrectly strapping the fallboard during the move. Charles Rivers Movers has not responded to my request for payment.

Update in response to the owner’s comments: Nobody from Charles River Movers ever visualized the damage. An inspection was conducted prior to the move and no damage was recorded as the piano was in excellent condition. Following the move, once the damage was discovered by the piano tuner within a week of the move, the movers said they would only visit to see the damage if we agreed to let them repair it. The only part of the owner’s response that’s correct is the part about them offering to repair the damage. It is peculiar that they would offer to repair damage they claim they didn’t cause.

We went to small claims court and the movers were ordered by the court to pay for the damage.

My daughter used this company yesterday for her move from an apartment and storage to a house in Waltham. The service exceeded her expectations. The movers showed up timely, they were professional, efficient, and completed the job in the expected time frame. Highly recommend!

This was the first time I had used packers & movers for my move. previously I used to do it myself. The move required 3 men and Troy, Neil and Brandon came to the rescue. These guys were polite and friendly. It took 3 hours to complete the move and they were quick and did everything perfectly. They made sure to put rugs on the floor of my new house so that the carpet won't get dirty. It was actually raining during the move but that didn't stop these guys. I would definitely recommend Charles movers to anyone.
