I highly recommend 5 Stars. They were the lowest price by far, had great references (which I checked out), showed up when they said they would, worked hard and professionally, and met me after the job to go over everything and provide me with my Mass Saves documentation. They also automatically come back within the year (when it's hot) to make sure the AC has the exact amount of needed freon for the hottest weather.

Worst company and people to work with! Very inexperienced owner and employees. They installed a new furnace in my in law apartment December 2022 and the new furnace never worked properly. My family and I traveled and a friend saw that a pipe burst flooding the whole apartment. We lost our home insurance because of a damage of more than $100,000 to fix. When we contact the company they never came to look. On the next year October 2023 when we turned the machine on it didn’t work, again tried contacting the company, they came about 2 times and didn’t know what was wrong, João kept saying that the whole house was wrong except fixing the machine. Machine worked for a week and stopped again. Then owner travelled and machine still wasn’t working it kept blowing cold air. Tried to resolve with owner (João) to come fix machine but he never got back to me. So we had to find an experienced company, the company came said condensate trap was installed wrong and emergency precious switch needed to be for propane, and combustion was incorrect and needed to be cleaned. After they cleaned, they saw the heat exchange was broken. We had to use the warranty on a 1 year old machine that never worked because the owner is inexperienced! And after the heat exchange was installed they noticed the kit was an universal kit used and they had to put one for a propane machine. Then they said the pipes outside are too close to each other causing cross contamination. At the end, we spent $5,008.75 to fix a BIG mistake and a lot of damage Five Star caused to us, and lost our insurance company. WORST COMPANY AND OWNER HARD TO DEAL WITH!

Anderson was nice and the prices were competitive but when it came to finishing the job, showing up regularly and when scheduled, he and his team failed. I would not recommend them even at their price because of the lack of follow through. One unit they installed in the attic caused a leak which discolored our ceiling. He had it repaired after several weeks of delay due to workers being "sick" and the weather being rainy but his team who were unreliable and often inexperienced did not repaint the ceiling as promised. They also left a hole in the in the ceiling and a he in our wall where they had to uninstall a thermostat. I have given him several weeks to fix these issues and he has still not sent his team. I'd recommend you pay more for a reliable and experienced group who knows how to follow-up and finish a scheduled job.
