We have several small children and they were courteous and polite while doing high quality work - it was clear to us that Paul and all his crew/contractors are sensitive to families and willing to go the extra mile to make the project less of a headache. Paul was very good about working with us on change orders and walking through the unforeseen issues that always crop up on projects.

We used Catalano Construction to add a garage and master suite to our split. We chose them because we liked the design of additions they did in our neighborhood on similar houses. Their prices were also less than others we interviewed. Paul worked with us on the design and we are really happy with it. His team worked quickly and were professional, and helped us get through the required permits and variances as well. Job came in on budget with no surprises. Highly recommend Paul and his team!

We’re so thankful to have found and was able to work with Catalano Construction. We hired them to do a family room, study, garage and ensuite addition and can’t wait that we’re nearing the finish line! They’re personally invested in their clients and truly care about the families they’re creating or renovating homes for. We hired Catalano for our home renovation and are very happy from start to finish. We added a second floor (about 1000 sq ft) and redid our plumbing and HVAC all at once. It was a large project and we had many modifications along the way all of which Catalano accommodated. We would definitely use again.

Paul went above and beyond to get us what we needed at a price we could afford. He was also easy to get in touch with when we had questions and responded in a very reasonable time.

My addition isn't completed yet, but so far we're pleased. The framing crew finished their portion of the job in less than 2 weeks. They were very accommodating and did an amazing job trying to keep the house clean as the worked. This was incredibly appreciated, as our construction started the day before we brought our baby home from the hospital. The electricians were also great.

So far, we're quite happy. I'll attempt to update once the project is complete!

Through the design and permitting process, he worked with us on what our different options and how to prioritize them within our budget. We were kept up to date through the construction process and aware of any delays (due to weather/mud) and changes (electric/hvac modifications needed for code compliance). Several years after the completion of our project, we continue to be extremely happy with the quality of the work done and the improvement to our home.

Paul was extremely responsive whenever I reached out. His crew were hardworking, professional, respectful of our property, entertained me asking tons of questions, and were happy to let our little one watch them work and climb on the "big tractor."

We hired Paul Catalano to add a second story and garage to our house. From the start the experience has been great and pretty straight forward, especially for such a large project. Paul came to the design consultation prepared and laid out his pricing structure, which came out lower than others we met with. His designs for our house were exactly what we were looking for. Before the project began he and his team helped us navigate the permitting process, including obtaining a variance.

Paul and his crew have been very receptive to the many questions we've had along the way, and have quickly adjusted their plans whenever we requested change orders. We're a few weeks out from everything being complete, but so far everything looks very nice and has been high quality. From the outside our house looks brand new, and it'd be hard to tell it was once a ranch. We would certainly recommend P. Catalano Construction for major additions or renovations.

We first contacted Catalano Construction after reading his advertisements in a local community newspaper flyer. The drawings and pricing were always informative and straightforward.

When we decided to seriously investigate a home addition in Westford, MA, Paul came to our house and sat with us a few times to answer questions and discuss possibilities. These meetings were friendly, open and educational and we got a good sense of what was possible with our current home, yard and the steps to consider from trees, septic, foundation, changes in driveway, excavation, permits and likely timeline. He told us what to expect and what might be discovered underground so we would not be without a plan if granite was found where he needed to create space.

Paul made multiple drawings for us so we could decide what we really needed. He was always flexible and always available to allow us to ask questions and make change orders – for example when we decided we wanted to match our current shingles and make other changes.

We wanted our new addition to match the outside look of our 1967 home and our neighbors have told us the addition looks as if it were always there!

All of his crew members were polite and safety-focused. Paul, Karen, Vincent, Mike and Will kept us updated and helped us schedule painter, electric and plumbing teams and keep our human and dog family safe throughout.

Invoices were clear and logically timed so there were no surprises.

Town permits and inspections all went smoothly.

We chose P Catalano Construction after seeing their local work, fair pricing, and clear project planning. They completed a first-floor addition—bedroom and bathroom—as promised, with excellent communication and craftsmanship. Their team was also thoughtful in ensuring our elderly residents stayed comfortable throughout the changing seasons.

We reached out to Catalano Construction in early 2024 after we had a less than stellar experience with another construction company in mid-late 2023. Paul came out to our house and sat with my husband and me for over 2 hours, listening to what we wanted, our budget, our hopeful timeline, and even took the blueprints of the plans we wanted and integrated them into his system and came back with a quote that was within our budget. For reference, we added on a mostly finished (just needs paint) basement, a first floor living room with a playroom at the back, a large closet off of the back mudroom entrance, a nook off of the existing dining area with a pantry, and a master suite with a large walk in closet as well as moving our laundry into the new en suite bathroom.

Between getting permits, a town variance hearing, and other town processes, our project broke ground in the fall of 2024 and wrapped up in August 2025. From start to finish, communication was clear. Every one of the workers who came to our house was kind, knowledgeable, professional, and respectful of our time and property. Vinny, Mike, Will, Joe, Matt, Johnny, Sam, and Marcio are just a handful of those who worked on our home, but they are the names I remember and can speak of off the top of my head. Vinny led the dig crew for the foundation and would always let us know ahead of time whether there would be a crew working on our project or if they would be at a different location that day. Mike took the lead on the framing of the new space and made sure that even though it was the middle of winter, that our existing space was blocked off and air tight when the internal wall spaces were opened up. Of course with breaking through walls there is the dust factor, but each person worked to make sure the mess in our existing home was kept to as minimum as it could be. The basement was the space that got the most dirty through all of this, as they had to cut through a poured concrete wall to allow for an entrance into the new basement space from the existing basement. Will led the internal crew, with Joe and Matt, putting in so much attention to detail that each new space seamlessly integrated with the existing structure. Joe’s attention to detail is impeccable and the work he did installing our floors and hanging pantry and closet doors, and patching holes in the hardwood where our old baseboard heaters were removed is perfect. Matt’s carpentry skills are absolutely exceptional, our new staircase and treads were stained with a mix that he made up that is basically identical to the original flooring that we have. Literally, the only way I know that I’m looking at new wood is because it’s so shiny and not worn down from us walking on it. Even the guys who weren’t directly employed by Catalano (Johnny the electrician, Sam the plumber, and Marcio the painter) were awesome. They each had their own challenges, working on a home built in 1910, namely rerouting the sewer line and having to upgrade the electrical box and hardwire/install smoke detectors to be up to code, but any hiccups were communicated with us and we were given details on how to proceed and why the changes were necessary. Marcio’s paint job is absolutely gorgeous. He and his assistant spent so much time prepping so the paint went on perfectly, if anyone needs painting done he is worth the money.

Our house has become our forever home, and even with an upgraded HVAC system and having to replace a rotted beam underneath the back of our existing home’s bathroom, we still managed to come in at the high end of our budgeted amount. We couldn’t be more grateful and thankful for the Catalano crew and the work they’ve done on our home.

Our project was to expand our home, first outwardly, and in the final design to add a floor above our existing house. They were careful and thoughtful about the design. During the initial planning, we were even struck down by COVID and Paul jumped in to go to our town council and get our permit for us. Paul is responsive, careful, and is constantly looking out for our budget, even without asking him. The crew was top notch. Will, Vinnie, Mike, and nearly every one of the trades worked very quickly, efficiently and with attention to detail.

We have since referenced them to others in our neighborhood and to friends of the family.

Out of 3 company’s , We were happy and confident to go with Catalano’s. Price is reasonable but you get what your paying for. The wife and I are very happy with there work. Quality job done so far !!! Very happy with his crew. All great workers !!! Great guys and very professional. Everything gets cleaned after every job ,no complaints.

When I call Paul with questions I usually get in touch with him and if I don’t he gets back to me within a hour. I must of hounded Paul with tons of phone calls and fills me in on what’s going on -
communication is A+++.
Everything gets done good and have not see a poor craftsmanship as of yet but I do check every night what has been done. No complaints.

When doing a project you have to be patient and the communication has to be there and unexpected problems will come up and it don’t matter what company you go through, as long as you are confident that you feel right about your contractor. with that said the decision my wife and I made was a great choice. No regrets at all. Glad we went with them. If we had to do all over again , no hesitation.

We hired Catalano Construction to put on an attached garage with two rooms above. We couldn't be happier with the end result. They were careful and thoughtful about how they would connect this addition to our roughly 110 year old existing structure. During the construction process we decided to add on an additional job of siding the whole house which looks amazing! We are not quite finished with construction but we are very pleased with what has been completed so far. Paul is easy to get in touch with and returns calls in a timely manner. The crew has been very professional and hardworking. I can not say enough about how clean they keep their jobsite. The crew takes care to cover anything that they don’t want damaged and the site is cleaned up each day before they leave. We are thrilled with the quality of the finishing work. The woodwork, tile, and cabinetry show a great attention to detail. Overall we are very satisfied with the work that this company has done on our home and will almost certainly be contacting them for future projects.

Paul’s team just completed a 400+ sq ft addition to our house, and it looks fantastic. They were in contact with us throughout, they let us know who was coming and when so you have a heads-up of who and what to expect, they kept the site clean, and their work is top-notch. Paul sat down with us at the beginning of the process to ask what we wanted, his team helps to design and plan everything with the town so it’s really a one-stop shop, no having to hire an outside architect, the plans are all designed in-house and presented to you. From there it was excavation, foundation, framing, and so forth. Shout out to Mike and his crew for the precise carpentry and craftsmanship in the framing, we heard he’s the best in MA, and it showed. The entire frame work was completed in a matter of days.
