I was searching for an electrician for a small job and faced quite a few frustrating encounters with various electricians giving dishonest quotes. Finally, a coworker recommended Kuhlman! I was amazed how professional they were from the person answering the phone, to a person coming to the house giving an estimate, to finally two electricians coming to the house to install the EV charger. They were always on time, kept communication open, always very professional. Company like Kuhlman restores my belief that there are still good honest businesses out there.

Steve and Indrit did a great job replacing 8 of my smoke and carbon alarms. They were very polite, professional, and very patient and thorough in answering all my questions.

I wanted to purchase the alarms myself to save some money so Joe the manager gave me recommendations on what kind to get and even went a step further to research where I might find them because I was having difficulty myself finding them online. He also took the time to explain in great detail why and how the newer ones were better than the older version.

I also appreciated the excellent communication (via phone, text, email) and the quick response time from all of the office and customer service staff: Christina, Nicole, Lillie, and Taylor.

Price was very reasonable as well in comparison to quotes from other companies. I would definitely consider using them for future electrical projects.

I’ve hired them to do a variety of electrical work around the house and will update this review based on how it all turns out, but so far this has been a mixed experience.

Pros: the guy who came out to generate the quote was thorough and knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Cons: Most glaringly, They tried to convince me that the final payment would be due before inspection. That is illegal according to Massachusetts state law. So whether or not we will have a dispute is TBD depending on whether or not they will adhere to the law. Synchrony bank, whom they use for financing, also clearly started that my payments would not start until the work was completed and a slip sent to them by Kuhlman. So really they Kuhlman has no excuse to try to badger me into violating a) Synchrony policy and b) Mass State law. Second, I explained very clearly that the need for this job was urgent (within the week) upfront before ever even asking them to come to my house for an estimate . I was extremely explicitly clear about this: that I was in a jam due to a previous electrician who had ghosted me so it took longer to get quotes than expected. The delay could lead to delaying my job an entire year due to the fact that the contractor coming in after the electrician said he won’t be able to work with the siding in the cold. Despite this, they tried to bait and switch me: they heard my urgency, and then tried to schedule over two weeks out anyways. So we had a lot of back-and-forth, trying to get them to honor their word. It was such a difficult process that I actually found another electrician to come out and generate a quote and was about to tell Kuhlman they’d lost the job when they found a way to squeeze me in as they had originally promised. Also, their financing process has hiccups that took more time out of my week than I intended, but it all worked out in the end.

It’s been a bumpy ride. As of right now, I would not hire them again in the future. But perhaps the electrician to come in to actually do the work will blow me away and change my mind.

Update: The electricians did good work. But the administration continues to be a problem. They had to push my appointment out a week because one of the electricians had a death in the family. That’s understandable. But now that the job is complete they want to schedule an inspection over two weeks out. So just be aware that if you hire them, the timeline for your project is going to be much longer than you expected. I asked why they do this since every single plumber, contractor, handy person, or HVAC I have ever worked with. Does the inspection within a few days of the work. Just common sense, right? I guess not. They just make a lot of excuses (see the screenshot attached here) and it’s really annoying. Just be more professional you know? Get stuff done in a timely manner. If you can’t do that, stop saying yes to every single job. You’re clearly overbooked. Again, I thought that was common sense. I was going to pay the final bill before the inspection, but this kind of sketchy behavior has just made me nervous all over again. So I cannot bump up this review, and I will not be paying until the inspection is complete. Just odd behavior all around.

I had a fantastic customer experience using Kuhlman Electric. Delai Felipe and Kevin Cajuda were professional, knowledgeable and were able to sold my wiring issues in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

Had a bathroom fan replaced and a light swapped with a ceiling fan in the living room. They made it very economical to do both the same morning and Delai Felipe, Kevin Cajuda were amazing. I was particularly amazed that despite all the drilling and cutting, I would have never known they were even there after the job was finished. They were exceptionally prompt and polite and left the place spotless!

Steve and Riley were both professional, on time, clean work spaces and I will certainly call Kuhlman Electric again!

Great job on an emergency fixing our smoke detectors which had been chirping for 24 hours. Both electricians were very professional. Khulman has none a number of jobs in our house which is why we keep calling them.

The service was friendly, clearly communicated and done quickly. Phillipe and Kevin were not only timely and professional but also the type of professionals I enjoy working with. Kevin remembered working with us before. I could hear their respect for their craft and work as they talked through the project while doing it. We had a very simple job but they treated it with seriousness and consistency. I would rate them a 5.

Ervis repaired a light bulb that broke in a socket. Doesn’t sound like a big deal but it is when you’re 77 yrs old. He was polite and professional. Have used Kuhlman for other electrical needs and am very satisfied. Good job Ervis👍

Kuhlman Electric has become our go-to electrical service company. Snaking a 220 line through ceiling and side walls was not easy, but Indrit and Jose were masters - quick and knowledgeable.

I couldn't be happier. We looked for local eletricians on and off for 18 months trying to get a problem solved. After hearing the commercials on 98.5 I thought I had nothing to lose. Josh came to the house as planned to estimate the projects, on time and knowledgeable. I signed the estimate and the crew, Jacob and Jaylen were on site the next day. They were helpful pulling a dryer away from the wall. They found the source of the real problem, vs what we thought, saved us 60% of the estimate. It could not have been better top to bottom. Next time we have a need, they will be the only people we call.

5 stars for KUHLMAN. Jacob and Jayden showed up on time and completed a panel and breaker replacement and power surge install as well as some other upgrades much needed. Peace of mind on a job well done. Highly recommend. They also marked every breaker for location throughout the house. AWESOME service.

Ervis Bushes was on time, texted before to say he was near. Extremely professional and explained his job.worked quickly and efficiently and was very neat and knowledgeable. Would recommend him highly. Very pleased with the work and the electrician.

I would highly recommend Kuhlman Electric! Bahena Salazar Jose, and Indrit Agalliu, did a great job with removing knob and tube wiring from my home. They arrived on time. They were professional and friendly. There were minimal disruptions to our routine. They got the job done sooner than expected. They also answered the various questions asked. I also appreciated how they cleaned up after themselves throughout the day. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had dealing with hired workers.

Indrit of Kuhlman Electric did such a great job on our project recently. He was efficient and thorough. Excellent job with rough patching the drywall afterwards; hardly anything for us to do but a little spackle and paint. Cleaned up after the job and was polite and friendly during his time in our home. Highly recommend Kuhlman for any and all electrician work.

We have been so happy with all of the work done recently in our home by Here Kuhlman electric. The work has been done, efficiently, quickly, and always in a clean manner. I can’t say enough about the four guys who recently installed our new Upgrade to our panels and installation of our electric car charger. A huge shout out to Steve M. Riley R. Nick T. and Ervis B. These guys were Take any nothing but professional and outstanding electricians. Whether it’s something small or a major overhaul, Kuhlman electric is a great choice!

Prompt and courteous installation of a generator. Don also fixed some screwed up house wiring that I had inherited and I would gladly recommend him.
