I first called PJ Mechanical in 2018 for a quote on new HVAC, but was unable to move forward due to an unrelated insurance claim tying up funds. I called back in 2022 and without hesitation, they came to the house to provide a new quote. John took the time to understand my desires and address concerns/questions. Specifically that I wanted to change the location of the outside units for a future deck, as well as the attic unit and all duct work for future expansion. We also weighed the pros and cons of high efficiency gas units vs. heat pumps due to exhaust concerns (old unlined chimney and multiple obstacles preventing direct venting), compared brands, and considered available rebates.

All of the old equipment was removed and hauled away in an organized and clean manner, no trash left behind, and drop cloths protecting the hardwood floors. All of the new work was/is meticulously installed - the definition of a perfectionist’s dream. All new copper, all new electrical wiring, all new duct in the attic.

I can’t say enough about John and Phillip. They showed up when they said they would, answered any and every question, educated me on tech and installation methods, included me in design/layout decisions, and even let me help/get in the way on several occasions. Lots of stories and laughs were exchanged.

I must also praise Renee. I was having an extremely difficult time with Mass Save, CLEAResult (horrible), and the entire rebate process. The HVAC work was completed at the end of June, but it took until the end of October to actually finalize and receive the rebate. For four months, Renee kept in contact with me via phone/email, provided Mass Save with additional info, and assisted in escalating the matter.

If you need any HVAC work, look no further. The work is top notch, service is A+, and you won’t find a better group of people.

After completing water heater repair, Phil noticed the exhaust vent pipe wasn’t connected and properly connected it. They did not charge extra for this extra time and work. Highly recommend.

The compressor fan on our heat pump was malfunctioning. We were still getting heat. I called PJ Mechanical on Tuesday afternoon. Thursday morning thier technician came out right on time, diagnosed the problem and efficiently fixed it.
We are extremely happy with the service provided.
